"Why do I feel like you being here at this exact moment isn't a coincidence?" I asked after I calmed myself down.
"Mo~ Ruin my fun why don't you?" she pouted. "If you must know it's not a coincidence. I felt my arcaenum twitch in response to something approaching in the dungeon and I've been waiting here to see what it was. Seeing that it is you is just the most pleasant of surprises." she said with a lustful glance at my body.
'Her arcaenum twitched in response to me unlocking reverse cursed technique? Why?' I pondered this information seriously while ignoring her gaze.
"If I am not mistaken isn't your divine domain that of night?" I asked to get some clarification.
"Oh? Did Hestia tell you that or was it perhaps Freya? Whatever the case that is indeed my divine domain. I'll have you know I am also the first and most high authority in this domain as well." she said proudly.
"If that's the case I'm not sure why your arcaenum would react to anything I did. None of my own abilities are even slightly related to night." I said seriously confused.
"Is that so? Perhaps you are connected to me on a deeper, more spiritual level then?" She said with a look that screamed "I know something you don't!".
"Hmm. Regardless I should be going, Hestia is no doubt on the verge of a mental breakdown by now." i said to excuse myself.
"We certainly wouldn't want that now would we? Run along now little mortal, we'll meet again soon enough." she said ominously before walking away with a seductive shake of her hips with each step she took.
'This woman is going to cause me some trouble in the future isn't she?' I thought with a sigh as I watched her leave.
Once she was gone I hurried through the dungeon square and across the rooftops as moonlight cascaded down on me from the sky above. No one really noticed me as I sprinted across the rooftops as I was careful not to put too much pressure on the buildings with each step. My flames were quite useful for this as I created small jets of the stuff on my chest and hands that gave me an upward and forward lift. While not quite enough to make me fly it did lessen the amount of force I needed to move quickly across the rooftops.-
It only took me about thirty minutes to arrive at the familia manor thanks to this and made a bit of a commotion when I did to announce my arrival. Bell and Lili were the first to investigate as the standard vanguard of their group and were in full combat readiness mode. They both relaxed visibly when they saw it was just me but quickly got confused expressions when they noticed I was wearing an unusual pair of pants and lacked any other equipment that I normally would have.-
"What happened!? Where is your stuff!?" Hestia exclaimed in shock when she came out of the house after getting the all clear from Bell and seeing my current state.
I smiled sheepishly and scratched the back of my head "So I maybe sorta pissed off the dungeon." I said honestly.
"What did you do!?" Hestia exclaimed in horror.
"I kinda got ahead of myself and fucked around with the monster spawning process of the dungeon, it didn't like that." I said honestly.
"What does that have to do with... this?" Daphne asked gesturing to my odd state of dress and lack of equipment.
"Okay so when I fucked around the dungeon made sure I found out why that was a bad idea and sent six green dragons and like ten gun labella after me all at once. To be honest I probably would have been killed if I didn't get a breakthrough just in time. Unfortunately said breakthrough sorta erased all my stuff so I had to improvise, hence the outfit." I explained awkwardly as my entire familia stared at me dumbfounded.
"So you mean to tell me that not only did you make the dungeon angry with you but you lost all of your stuff and almost died as well?" Hestia asked with a barely contained anger.
I nodded and she straight up decked me in the nose, I didn't even try to resist either because I did deserve this to a degree. It didn't hurt me much anyways since my endurance stat was monstrously high from my past two levels and thus I was quite hard to injure for a normal person. While some gods could take on a level three despite their physical abilities being sealed to that of normal members of whatever race they chose to be down in the mortal realm, Hestia was not one of those gods.-
I should mention that those gods capable of that kind of feat could only do so because of skill rather than power. As literal gods of combat they were naturally more skilled at fighting than any mortal and thus using pure skill could overcome the strength gap but only up to level three as after that no unleveled physical attack had any chance of harming an adventurer. Thanks to my stats I was pretty much in this category at the moment so I just stood there and let Hestia beat up on me to relieve her anger.-
When she was good and tuckered out I spoke again "Got it out of your system or should I wait till later to give the actually good news?" I asked calmly.
"What good news?" She asked still a little miffed but at least cooled down enough to be curious.
"Oh you know nothing TOO big just you know that I have some new abilities and might be pretty much immortal now. Standard stuff really." I said with a grin.
""WHAT!?" she and most of the rest of my familia exclaimed at the same time.
"Okay before anyone gets any funny ideas I CAN still be killed , it's just really really REALLY hard to do now. Pretty much anything short of destroying my brain in an instant I can recover from now so long as my energy reserves aren't empty. I can also erase stuff, make ice and heal other people too so theres that too I suppose." I said acting like it wasn't as big a deal as it was.
