Erica's POV
I woke up early. Well not so early, to prepare for my last and final class of the first trimester. Beatrice other roommates have all gone out. Some for project meetings others to read ahead of the on coming exams.
Beatrice was sitting in her small desk and chair reading her books while munching on a pack of cookies. Students hardly cook when exams are fast approaching, they mainly do take out and snacks. There was a knock on the door and she stood up to go check who it was.
I could hear her talk to someone but could not tell who it was because the person only stood outside the door, when they were done, I heard her bid the fellow, farewell as she closes the door behind her.
She turned and looked at me with wild grin. Beatrice can be such a drama queen. She is the best friend I have got so I guess we are going to be stuck with each other for a long time.
"There is another letter for you Erica said Beatrice. It looks like I have been getting a lot of attention from this unknown person lately. From several short Notes to beautiful scented flowers "what does it say" I said referring to Beatrice.

"Who is this guy though? Looks like someone's got a secret admirer" She said excitedly.
I just smiled as I apply final touches to my makeup. I woke up feeling all excited and sexy, its been a little over a week since I was discharged from the hospital. Its been hard shifting between moods, but thanks to Beatrice, she can make broken heart leap for joy in no time.
Lucas has also been committed to ensuring I come out of my snare, not that he had choice though. Poor guy. Beatrice be making him pay for the sins his friend committed.
"I am not interested in whatever he has to offer. I still have a broken skull from my last relationship, or should I say situation ship, remember?" I said as I suddenly remember to had extra concealer to the scar on my head. I could see Beatrice from the mirror I was looking at, that she looked at me and smiled.
I had an early morning class to catch, and was already running behind time.
This is the last class I will be having before our exams commence. When I was done with my makeup, I took a final look at myself in the mirror.
I looked stunning in my blue skin fitted jeans and a white T-shirt, with a white sneakers to match. I had my hair styled into two pony tail highschool classic.
Oh Girl you so fine, you are so fine, you blow my mind go ERica! the little voice in my head singing, weird little thing. I know its oh mickey you so fine, but my name kinda fits it better at the moment.
I am feeling all good about myself and I plan on enjoying today to the fullness. And since I have an unknown admirer, I can as just make myself beautiful so he can have something to gush about.
"I am off to class" I said as I run out of the room before Beatrice could stop me.

I had only just left my classroom when I felt someone following me, I stopped and looked around and could not pick anyone out, as everyone seem busy in their world, so I continued walking. I have always had this feeling that someone was stalking me, I can feel so many eyes on me trailing my every movement.
After walking for some distance I couldn't help but notice someone following me, he stopped and pretended to be doing something else immediately he saw me.
I smiled and pretended not to have noticed him too. I got to the building and noticed that Damian's car was parked at the entrance, my heart skipped a bit. I had not set eyes on him since he left me at the clinic.
As I got closer to the car I saw Sophia coming down from the car, yeah right my ex step evil sister in-law. I just rolled my eyes and was about walking away when she called out my name.
"Hi Erica!" She said
"Sophia"I said while a section of my brain deliberate on a thousand ways to kill her.
"How are you, I can see you still have your head in one piece". She said looking at the already fading scar on my head.
What do you want Sophia" I asked not sure of where this our little chat was heading.
"Just checking up on my ex roommate, that's not a bad thing, is it now." She said with a naughty smirk on her face.
"I guess not" I said and continued.
"well if this unplanned reunion is over I would like to head over to a meeting I'm late almost for"
I said as I walked pass her into the building. The nerve on that girl though. Well she is lucky I am not one to be see fighting over a guy. She is so not going to spoil my mood today.
Hell no!
I got to the meeting and discovered just one person was present. "Hi" I said as I walked closer been the first time I will be seeing him.
"Hi beautiful" He said scanning every part of my body with his eyes.
He looked nice, brown hair, bright brown eyes, a fine white shirt on a grey short, with a black sandal. there was something wild about him. He looked so damn sexy. Well not as good looking as my Damian, scratch that not my Damian, it's our Damian, no, the school union president Damian look, whichever! but he definitely would give Damian a run for his money.
A very good replacement.
"Are you a freshman?" I asked still trying to figure out why he was there. He jerked a little and smiled
"No. I am here as a result of a carryover course" he said. Carry over students are those that failed their exams in their first attempt and are made to resit for the course in the next academic year.
"So sorry to hear about that" I said. He looked at me and let out a small laugh. He had cute smile
"Well technically there is nothing to be sorry about, because I believe things happen for a reason. If I had not failed the course I would not have be privileged to meet a girl as beautiful as you" he said as I smiled and blushed a little.
he sure knows how to use his words, it was not about what he said, it was more about how he said it. "So, how many girls have fallen prey to your soothsaying?" I asked teasing.
"All of them except with you I feel I have to up my game" he said and that made me laugh a little more than appropriate I think.
"sorry what is your name again"
"why? Do you want to go out with me on a date?" I just laughed trying to hid my embarrassment.
" there is nothing to be shy of, girls find me irresistible" he said with a smirk on his face.
"I'm Philip" as he stretched out his hand for a hand shake.
"I'm Erica" I said taking his hand.
"Erica, hmmmm, beautiful name for a beautiful girl"
"Thank you" I said blushing and trying to brush off a little shyness that wants to creep in.
"So?" He said and continued, "are we going out for a date?" He asked. Technically I have never been asked out on a date before. With Damian it was just an uncontrollable attraction. So been the first and with a gorgeous guy I must as well give it a try.
But Erica you don't know him the tiny voice in my head again trying to use mum tune on me, I just shut it out and said.
"I will think about it. He flashed me his perfect set of teeth, oh wait! there is nothing perfect about his teeth, it's almost orange in color and is that a vegetable stuck in one of those teeth?
Eww!
"That is not a promise he said, "how about you say come tomorrow by 8:00pm and I will be all dressed and ready for you"
"You are quite persuasive you know" I said as he smiled, "you know what, its okay I will be ready and waiting for you by 8pm". I said unable to believe that I just accepted to go out with a total stranger.
"Thanks" he mumbled
It was really nice talking to you, See you around" Bye. I turned and started walking away, it was awkward because I swear I could feel his eyes on my ass as I swirled away.
I notice the campus was relatively quiet, as I walked back to my hostel. I saw a car coming towards me and that made me hasten my step. The car stopped a few distant ahead of me, a guy on casual clothing came down from the car to stop me on my tracks.
"excuse me miss, someone wants to see you" he said in the most modest way
"Who?" I asked
"My boss" he answered.
I made who the hell is your boss look but I noticed he was polite and also professional with whatever his job is. I moved closer to the car to see who it was, but the glass were tinted. The man knocked on the door and the car opened. It was Damian.
"Come in" he said, his voice commanding and daring, I felt myself alive with burst of happiness I never knew were there. I found myself entering the car without further persuasion. Immediately I entered the car, they drove off.
