Not a First-Year student.
I quickly realised that my assumptions were somewhat correct.
The Grand Instructors had indeed sent a person from the upper years to handle this questioning.
I inwardly sighed in relief.
This made me sure that the Descendants of the Zahara Clan wouldn’t be able to get out of this easily.
The young man sat in the chair opposite me.
"I am Jerilial Lupindral, a Magical Swordsman from the Second-Year Magical Swordsman Department, Class Two, Vice-Captain of the Disciplinary Committee," Jerilial introduced himself.
"Can you introduce yourself so we may begin the questioning?"
I was inwardly stunned.
This was a direct descendant of the Lupindral Clan and a high-ranking official of the Disciplinary Committee.
It was no wonder Elric and Andre were in such a condition and had treated me with such respect and fear.
Even if they ignored the fact that the person who had beaten them was a high-ranking figure in the Disciplinary Committee and a senior, they couldn’t ignore the fact that he was a senior relative of the same clan.

I cleared my throat and introduced myself.
"I am Ezekiel Zahara of the First-Year Magical Swordsman Department."
He brought out a thick, black, rectangular item and placed it at the centre of the table.
The item suddenly split into four distinct pieces, with a transparent screen at the centre, from the edges of the corners.
A ray of light flashed across the screen.
Two holographic screens emerged from the transparent panel and materialised before us.
"This will be used to record the investigation. Please refrain from using your mana until we are done, to prevent any magical interference from interrupting the process," Jerilial said.
"Okay," Jerilial said, "First, explain what happened on the day Ivory challenged you to a duel."
I proceeded to explain everything that had transpired, not hiding even a single piece of information.
I didn’t mention anything about my system.
The investigation lasted for about two hours.
"Okay. That’s all. This investigation has been concluded," Jerilial said.
He waved his hand above the holographic screen.
Suddenly, the transparent screens vanished, and the box began to come together, returning to its original form.
"Can I know where Ivory is?" I asked curiously.
"My companion is currently questioning her. Depending on her response to the questioning, a proper punishment will be given to her," Jerilial replied.

"The academy must inform them of the trouble she has gotten into before we can decide on an appropriate punishment. Typically, the academy wouldn’t focus so intensely on such a matter."
"Still, since this concerns Ivory, one of the geniuses of the Magical Swordsman Path who awakened a Rank Two Path Trait, if push comes to shove, they might fight to have her scholarship from the Zahara Clan terminated to prevent her from being targeted. Her scholarship may then be funded by the academy itself, so in a way, she might get away with minimal punishment."
I nodded in understanding.
Sarafina was right! The academy would do everything to protect a talented student from harm.
"I know what you’re thinking, but I can only tell you that our hands are tied since the Governing Council has taken this matter up," Jerilial said, sighing tiredly. "However, I apologise for the gross misconduct you faced from the Disciplinary Committee in this branch."
"Those involved in this matter will lose their privileges as Committee members and will step down immediately after we’ve found suitable replacements. I recognise you wouldn’t be satisfied with this apology, so I’ve arranged for you to decide their punishment."
"I’ve already severely punished Elric and Andre, who we’ve already discovered were directly connected to this case for their wrongdoing, so please, take it easy on them."
I snorted inwardly. That explained why they looked like they had been beaten with a stick.
He wanted me to be lenient with them but strict with the others, so it would seem was my decision.
"Their actions almost led me straight into the Zahara Clan Descendants’ schemes against me. If I hadn’t had the strength to fight back, I wouldn’t be here right now. They need to be punished for their actions."
It was primarily because the Grand Instructors, the Instructor Committee, and the Disciplinary Committee were all investigating this matter simultaneously that I dared to speak to a senior in this manner.
If he decided to target me after this, he would surely be caught and brought to justice, just as Fredric and the others were.
I didn’t believe the Grand Avalon Academy, known as one of the greatest in the Thunder Sky Fortress for training the Heroes of humanity, would overlook such an issue when it was staring them in the eye.
