Sometime later, the world of darkness clouding my eyes due to the intensity of the light slowly toned down, though not to the point of perfect sight clarity.
Strangely, I could hear voices speaking in a foreign language that soon became a bit familiar to me.
’Am I blind?’
I thought to myself as my eyes couldn’t make out anything clearly except blurry figures.
’Where am I?’
Almost panicking in my mind, however, as if that wasn’t all I became flustered at what was touching my body, a blurred hand that seemed a bit rough yet slightly fat, lightly touched my chest.
The weirdest thing was that the hand seemed to cover my entire body, and I was sure, there was no one with me before.
’What the heck happened?’
My thought were soon cut short, as the blurred hand turned me around to the side. And then it lightly rubs my butt! I felt disgusted. As if that wasn’t enough it slapped my butt that I felt it jiggle.
I felt pained from both the light slap and my heart. Cus that was the first time I had such a weird experience and feeling.
’What heck do you think you are doing?’
I said, yet what came out of my mouth was a horrified shriek.
When everyone heard the shriek, the faces of everyone in the room were a bit perplexed.
"He is alive. And it a ba..by boy!"
An lady’s voice echoed in my ears, like a distant memory resurfacing.
The next thing I knew, I was gasping for air, my tiny lungs expanding with a cry. The midwife’s wrinkled face loomed above me, her eyes covered with a mix of surprise and curiosity.
"Luminaria eximius."
She whispered, her voice filled with mystery and power, non could understand.
Immediately after, pronouncing those magical words. The entire room became quieter as everyone stared at my back anxiously.
In the next seconds, slowly on my back depicted a rough dark wiggling outline of a little snake biting its tail.
When she saw this, a frown appeared on her face, and then followed by the low gasps and murmurs behind her, everyone began taking a peek at me, as their faces showed various expressions.
But none looked pleased some even seem to be afraid, disgusted and eyes filled with inconcealable contempt as they instinctively shifted from me, they all stared at me weirdly, akin to looking at something disgusting or extremely hideous.
The midwife slowly turned me, I was only a few inches and light weighted, for a baby of only an hour old I wasn’t too skinny, neither was I too fat, instead I seemed to have a perfectly healthy baby pink body.
But that couldn’t be all, or at least the midwife hoped for that. Otherwise, everyone wouldn’t have stared at me like some hideous monster.
Which was quite eerie, despite the fact how I looked perfectly like any other baby would.
However, from what everyone could see I was no different than a monster, since what could explain why a baby had a pitch black eyes, only meant one thing I was a demon spawn.
Meanwhile, I lied limp in the arms of the fat old midwife, though my eyes couldn’t see clearly. I could still make out a thing or two, as my eyes swiftly adverted from left to right instinctively, trying to make the best of how bad my current situation might have become.
Within the small room, a bedridden woman was pictured in my view, she was a young woman with black silk hair and black color eyes.
She seemed like out of a masterpiece painting with a dark skin, which complemented her beauty, if it wasn’t for her disheveled hair, the blue lines under her eyes, and sweat beads covering her exquisite oval carve face, her beauty would have been made more obvious.
Everything within her periphery, including the bed sheets, was stained with a mixture of yellow urine and blood. Which made her, needed an urgent warm bath.
While my eyes were void of light, the room had become pale and quiet. The Old midwife had carefully finished cleaning my body and had wrapped me up in clean clothes.
The old midwife had a worried and gloomy expression at the same time. How would she explain herself to Elina? She knew Elina from her childhood and had delivered all her babies. So she could not deny that this delivery had been strange.
The labor had been the toughest one she had ever seen, cause it lasted for more hours than she had expected that she had no choice but to stop multiple times to avoid over bleeding. When she could finally see my head sprout abruptly, she knew something must have gone wrong.
Elina was fighting with all her strength, but I had appeared limp. Leaving her with no other choice but to pull me out herself as gently as she could, only to discover that I had grabbed my umbilical cord.
After severing it, the old midwife had immediately followed the old rules followed by the birth of every male child.
Casting a demon spawn detector spell, after her spell the situation went from bad to worse, but she couldn’t force herself to tell Elina her child was a spawn of a demon, a cursed one.
For a few minutes, Elina had remained silent after her delivery of the baby, even without being told she was aware of what was happening.
The midwife could not help but heave a sad sigh, as she left Elina to process her emotion. While still caught in her inner conflict, she had nonetheless still handed the mother her child.
As the midwife observed the entire situation. I felt a soft and tender touch of a woman as she brought me closer to her breast. She began to slowly embrace my little body into her arms, resonating loving words to me, that warmed my heart.
"Oh my little prince, Mommy loves you so much. I’m never going to stop loving you."
The woman’s voice sounded exhausted yet loving, as she quietly mumbled these words to my ear, and closed her eyes. Soon she began to slowly rocked me back and forth in her warm embrace.
But that was the only trace of happiness that could be seen, was from a bedridden woman that seemed exhausted with pale eyes.
Meanwhile, I lied limp on her hands, as I felt something strange was amiss inside of me as if I had been punched hard in the stomach, but this only made me cursed inwardly as a liquid flowed into my mouth that left me constantly hyperventilating for air to fill my lungs, my face couldn’t help but turn pale from the nausea feeling but I could barely restrain myself before I puked.
After struggling for a few seconds, I finally gave up, as I felt my orifice went through the process of being blocked and then opened again, letting my flushed face and flustered mind calmed down a bit, from the fresh air that was filling my lungs.
