Freya Hilton was the daughter of a duke who’d been on his last leg long before she was born, but when she did, everything fell to hell, and the blame fell on her. A child no more than a year old, blamed for her father’s incompetence to manage funds–that was the legacy she was meant to leave behind.
Breaking away from misfortune at the age of five, she hustled her way with money. Selling knick-knacks and doing odd jobs earned her plenty to fill her small belly. However, as time went by, her hunger grew. And so she looked far and wide and found others in the same situation.
Teaching them to do housework, sew clothes, and cast basic light magic, she quickly grew herself a fortune, and with time, her ambition and wealth grew exponentially. But then it happened, right after buying herself an inn, a man swept her off her feet–only to knock her up on accident and die before he could help with anything.
Thus, to care for her child, she reeled her ambitions in. Leading her to run her inn with others who’d followed her example. There were only two rules if you wished to work with her. If you’re a man, don’t talk to her directly, and if you’re a woman, don’t fuck another employee or any customer. Learning from her own example, she didn’t want them to make a mistake and end up with an accidental pregnancy.
"Ohh~ What brings you here, dear?" Pushing her pearl blue hair to the back, she looked at the blonde woman who’d just walked in front of her. "You seem new, and was that wagon yours? I heard the caretaker got slapped in the face by one of the horses, quite the humor your horses have."
Smiling a businessman-like smile, she joked about the situation even though the complaints from that very caretaker had given her a headache.
’Another rich girl who thinks she can do anything. We might need to be extra careful around her.’
"You alone, sweetheart or is someone with you? I’m guessing you want room," rolling her eyes with a scoff, she added. "Of course you want room, why else would you be here? Haha~"
"You talk...quite fast," Aura muttered, squinting her eyes.
Her words broke the woman’s laugh, and the moment she looked down, she knew that whoever this girl was, she had seen right through her polite facade. Thus, as her smile eased more and more and a neutral expression took over, she asked in a plain tone.
"Seriously, are you alone or with someone?"
Turning her head, Aura stretched her arm in Zephyr’s direction and beckoned him with a gesture. Getting closer, the fiend stood beside her, and the succubus instantly locked their arms together.
"I came with my master. His name is Custer, and I am Cecilia." Taking a brief pause upon noticing Freya’s eyes widening with confusion, Aura added with a smile. "I’m his sex slave, so we might need a room where the rest of your guests won’t be disturbed by the sounds."
"Wh-what..." Taking a deep gulp, Freya shook her head and tried not to focus too much on the details. Instead, she quickly opened the logs and searched for the very last room on the upper floor. "O-okay, and how long are you going to stay?"
"Until our shop is built, so quite a while," Zephyr responded, his eyes still running up and down the woman’s motherly frame.
While her head was down to look at the pages, her breasts had swelled up and barely held themselves from pouring out from the top of her dress. Like an aristocrat, she was dressed in a blue dress with a white corset; however, the fiend already knew that it was no more than a facade. She was poor as every other employee in the building, but someone had to look like the boss.
"Your names?" Looking up, she caught a glimpse of Zephyr–or rather Custer staring at her breasts.
’Brat, how does he even have enough money to afford a slave?’ Now it was she who was judging him by his appearance, not too tall and with dusty clothes and the facial structure of a boy who’d just turned eighteen. ’Whatever, we need the money even if there’s going to be some noise.’
Eyeing him up and down again, she figured that there would be little reason to worry about the noises from their room anyway.
’Doubt the boy’s any good in bed, so whatever.’ Holding her smile, she scribbled their names into the ledger. Even while she was writing, she could feel both the guy and the girl staring at her chest as her boobs were shaking from scribbling so quickly. Their gaze was boring into her very skin, but that was far from something unusual. Every man and even some women who’d stayed here had, to some degree, wanted to court her or at least share a bed with her for one night. ’I’ve made enough mistakes and kids for a lifetime.’
Lifting her head again, however, she smiled at the two and gestured for them to follow one of her employees. For a moment, neither seemed to have noticed that gesture, but with a quick cough, she snapped them out of their minds.
"Please follow her, she’ll show you to your room," she told them, still holding her hand stretched towards her underling.
"Of course~ I’ve been dying to get my back to a bed," Aura replied, pulling Zephyr with her as she followed the servants upstairs.
Watching them walk up the red carpet on the stairs, Freya once again questioned how such a youngster could get their hands on a slave as well as enough funds to set up shop in a city that he’d just visited for the first time. Contemplating that for a while, she had to give up in the end. No more than their names, there was no way she could solve this mystery, and thus she returned to work, being the eye candy of the store for adventurers, travelers, and locals who were too attached to the sight of her sultry frame.
