Megha's POV
It was weird that whenever I was at home in our room, I missed Mehul a lot. I was missing his stupid grin, his naughty comments and his arms around me.
I wanted to talk to him. I wanted him here. Bhaiya and bhabhi had been inseparable since the day they got to know about bhabhi's pregnancy. She was at home now. I like the way they were madly in love with each other. I wanted to feel the same kind of love. But I guess, I was not so lucky.
So every day I used to make something nice for bhabhi and then go to work. Bhaiya and bhabhi scolded me for working so much. But I said that I wanted to get the showrooms ready as soon as possible.
In reality, I wanted to keep myself busy to avoid thinking about him. He had not even bothered to call me once.
I again went to work my team was working on a very fast pace. The showrooms were taking shape. Most of the work was done. Though I was feeling very tired as I had worked for more than 16 hours a day for the last 5 days. Moreover, I didn't even have my meals properly. As I just used to have my breakfast every day with bhaiya and bhabhi and after that, I used to come to work.
I sat down on the temporary chair and desk kept there and selected the samples for curtains, lights, switches, handles, display counters, chandeliers etc. I got up to see how the work was going on in the other showroom when I felt dizzy. I was about to fall but somehow, someone caught me before I fell on the floor. I realised it was Sachin.
He held me for a minute and took me towards the chair again.
" What the hell is going on here?? " I turned to see Mehul who was walking towards me with a big frown on his face. He was glaring at Sachin.
I smiled weakly at him, but he caught my hand and drew me in his circle of arms.
" Why are you holding her like this? How dare you?? Remove your hands or I will break them off your body."
" Relax !! She was about to fall. I just caught her in time." Sachin said but Mehul was still glaring at him.
Mehul asked me, " Are you alright? " I nodded and he helped me to sit and then he turned towards Sachin and said, " What are you doing here? "
" I am working here? " He said calmly.
" What do you mean you are working here? Who are you working for?" Mehul was annoyed. But why? Why was he talking to him like this?
" I am working as a manager in Kothari's showroom. Vimal Bhai appointed me. " Sachin answered.
I wanted to say something but Mehul said, " Ok, now that I
am here, I can take care of her very well. Please go and do your work." He was glaring so badly at him. What is wrong with him? Sachin looked at me and gave me a faint smile and left.
" What happened to you? You are looking pale. Let us go and see a doctor. " He said with so much concern. I felt good that he was so concerned about me.
" I am alright, Mehul. I just wanted our showrooms to be ready as soon as possible, so I was working for very long hours and look we have made so much progress in such a short time. I was just tired and when I got up all of a sudden I felt dizziness."
" There is no need to work so hard. You are spoiling your health. Did you have lunch? "
I shook my head slowly.
" How can you do that?? Showrooms will be ready before time. Even if they don't, I don't care... Please take care of yourself. I will not allow this kind of madness." He said with looking into my eyes.
" But, Mehul there is still so much to be done..."
" It will be done... Just relax and let your teamwork more." I smiled and nodded.
" How was your trip?" I asked him.
He smiled and said, " Guess what? I did it. Our diamonds were a hit with them. They want our diamonds for their exclusive jewellery range. I even gave them a few ideas for exporting them and they loved the quality so much they agreed for that as well. So we got a very big order. Bigger than we thought, dad and bhai are very happy. "
" Wow !! That is great, I am proud of you." I said with a smile and he kissed me on the cheek and said, " Let's go and have our lunch now. I am also very hungry." He held my hand and took me for lunch.
We ordered our food, l was really hungry and so was he. We were waiting for our food to come. He was looking at me in a very different way.
" What was he doing here? " He asked me all of a sudden.
" Who??? "
" That friend of yours... "
" Oh, Sachin ?? He was helping me with work. We worked for almost 12 hours a day. Vimal Bhai has appointed him as his manager. He will take care of all handicrafts collection and I will just have to manage my office and my interior designing." I told him and he didn't look very happy about it.
" But, why him? Does he have any experience with this work? "
" Well no, but he is a good friend. So bhai must have thought that I would be quite comfortable working with him. And a person will have experience only if he works. If we give work to only experienced people then young people will never get work. right? "
" So are you comfortable with him ?" He asked me.
" Well, Of course, I am. " He just nodded but he looked annoyed.
The food arrived and we started having it. I was very hungry. But I don't know why Mehul seemed to have lost his appetite somehow.
" Why are you not eating, you barely ate anything. You did not like it? Do you want anything else? " I asked and he looked at me with some different kind of emotions in his eyes. It is so difficult to understand him.
" I don't like him much. " He said slowly.
" What?? But why? He is such a nice, hardworking person. "
" I don't know why." He said slowly and started eating.
We came back to our showrooms and I showed him everything and explained everything. He looked very happy with the designs and the vibrant colours I used for traditional designs area and sober and cool colours contemporary designs area. Everything already looked so elegant and elite.
" We have to go furniture shopping and a few other things. All other things are getting ready. I have chosen some tentative designs. Pls, tell which one you want. "
" Do you really want to know what I want?? " He had that naughty smile on his face that made me blush.
Just then we saw Sachin coming towards us and said,
" Megha, come, I need to show you something."
" Why don't you do your work and leave her alone. You have been hired to work and not to roam around just like that. She is not well, so you do your work. I am taking my wife home. " He said that to Sachin a bit rudely. What is wrong with him now??
" Just a minute Mehul, at least let me see what he wants me to. I have to, Please." I said and saw that Mehul was getting even more annoyed.
Mehul's POV
I came back from Mumbai and wanted to see my beautiful wife. So I came to meet her here. I wanted to tell her that I missed her so much. I wanted her with me all the time but as soon as I reached here, I saw her in another man's arms.
What the hell?? He was that friend of Megha... What was going on?? What was he doing here??
