It felt like I had just closed my eyes when Louise got out of the bed in a hurry. She was quick to go to the bathroom.

I was back to her side minutes later with two cups of hot milk and gave one to her. She sipped her milk before she started telling me exactly what happens at dinner.
"So your dad basically wants me dead now?"
I put away my cup and took her onto my chest. I was liking the feeling of us relaxing together, kissing her hair as she let out her small laughter.
"Yeah, but I'll protect you from him. Just keep on pampering me and you're set."
"I will...you don't have to ask, now you should get some sleep," I said, putting away her already empty cup to the side table and spooning her while caressing her non-existent baby bump.
"Whatever happens tomorrow, I love you." I kissed her shoulder and whispered in her ear.
