Delilah saw herself standing in front. Prayers who were echoing through the bricked room unanimously stopped. People began to trade glances with each other and to her. Her Aunt wasn't a mannequin to not notice her sudden grandeur while bible verses from John were being outspoken by the wake-attendees.
"Delilah are you okay?" Aunt Auwie's voice stirred Delilah's frozen mind. Delilah numbly handed the almost stashed and unrecognizable paper. It was hardly gripped producing numerous folds all over the margins. Then Delilah flee herself onto the chair at front without any words.
Aunt Auwie who's very puzzled didn't even think of anything other than flatting the curves and organizing the folds of the paper with her bare hands. When she can finally read between the lines, she sat beside Delilah and silently stroll her eyes to the paper space.
"These were your father's will." A vibrant announcement that is for Delilah, who's being pre-occupied by the name at the end of the letter.
"Jaycee Sahagun? Who is he?" The mid-50 woman continued. A serious and raging Delilah turned into the casket and into the paper which her Aunt was dutifully holding.
"This is the man whom my father owed his trust Aunt Auwie, and I'm so sure he's the one responsible for this pretentious gestures." Delilah defensively addressed the flowers she knew something wasn't right.
"But it says here, you will be the only one left in-charge of the business." Her Aunt almost insisted that the man had nothing to do with it.
"Yes it is. But it's so obvious that I can't nest my butt on that chair my father used to sit if I won't take consent from that man. Somehow this man brainwashed Papa's mind, agreeing into this conspiracy." She firmly stood with her judgement. Judging from the handwritten, it is undeniable that the man was perhaps an elite bachelor. But the world is full of lies and immoral things, and London itself was a testimony to it. Even so, she couldn't be so optimistic and confined that someone nourished the company without any hidden schemes. A big trade without snakes is a big joke for her.
"And your plan?" curiousity builds on it's sheek quintessence from the Aunt of hers.
"I'll be talking with my lawyer after this, I'll see to it that everything runs smoothly. I bet this man is expecting me to arrive so I'll give him the luxurious and grandest entrance he'd ever witness." A jaw dropping proclamation she thought.
"How about Kristen?"
"I'll see to it that the child will get all of the previledges the world has to offer. I want to make sure that the child will live happily under the roof of my care. Kristen will be educated at a fine school and bestowed things she lacked." A sense of power and authority milled between the sheets of choler and wrath. Delilah granuled on the tone.
"I believe Kristen was living with someone Delilah. It would be very hard for you to bribe the custody of the child over yours." The Aunt of hers explained such contradiction with viscous collate confidence.
"I hope that would be easy sweetie. I so for myself never knew a single thing about the person who took care of Kristen, such attendance wasn't heard before. You will be facing mountains of papers if you will go with the process." Aunt Auwie recollects her the possibility of efforts she might put just to go thru Kristen's legal guardian.
"Don't worry Aunt Au- our lawyer is working with that. Everything was being put together into pieces. Every information I needed will be served right, fresh and confidential on the plate." Delilah answered cautiously avoiding any ears strolling that may lend information. It is not that she didn't want anybody to know her adopting Harper's orphaned daughter. It is just when information's that are so scarce leaked, tendencies of the family to get involve will be complicated. A much bigger problem she thought.
