She tried to raise her serpentine longsword toward him.
But the distance between them was too short. If she tried to swing her sword now, it would definitely wound Chen Mo.
Chen Mo smiled faintly.
"That sword was once only 0.01 centimeters from my throat. But within a quarter of an incense stick’s time, its wielder will fall in love with me."
"Because I decided to tell a lie. I’ve told countless lies in my life—so many that I’ve broken your heart again and again. But this one... I think it’s the most perfect."
Queen Medusa took a step back, then raised her sword and pointed it horizontally at Chen Mo. "Take another half-step, and this Queen will kill you."

He didn’t just step forward—he crossed two and a half steps. Then, in one smooth motion, he stretched out his arms and gently pulled her into an embrace, wrapping them around the slender waist hidden beneath her black robe.
The familiar warmth in his arms made Queen Medusa freeze, her body going stiff in his grasp.
And then Chen Mo spoke again:
"If I had to give that love a time limit... I’d want it to last forever."
When he almost blurted out "ten thousand years," he quickly corrected himself—after all, even on the Dou Qi Continent, ten thousand years was a very long time.
Queen Medusa’s entire body turned soft and numb. She couldn’t summon the slightest bit of Dou Qi, standing there like a first-love girl held in her beloved’s arms—dazed, yet greedily absorbing that familiar and comforting feeling.
The multicolored serpentine longsword in her hand dissipated.
She let Chen Mo remove the white jade mask from her face, revealing a breathtakingly beautiful and enchanting visage.
A faint blush painted her cheeks.
Under the moonlight, Chen Mo held Queen Medusa close.
Though she was tall, she still stood half a head shorter than Chen Mo.
Just as he reached to lift her soft chin and lean in for a kiss—
Fiery-red Dou Qi suddenly burst from within her body and blasted Chen Mo backward.
Queen Medusa forcibly suppressed the electric current coursing through her heart and said coolly, "Did you really think this Queen would forgive you just like that?"
As she spoke, she raised her hand and summoned the white jade mask from the ground back into her grasp, swiftly placing it over her face once more.
And when it settled over her face again, that cold and seductive visage flushed with red once more.
"Queen darling," Chen Mo said, feigning innocence, "if I gave up Die for you, wouldn’t that make me a true scumbag? I wish I could split my heart in two—give half to each of you... But sadly, I only have one. And somehow, that one heart fell in love with both you sisters."
Shameless words, dripping with scoundrel charm.
Queen Medusa’s eyes narrowed, a glint of coldness flashing within them as she scoffed, "At least you’re honest about that."
"Ahem, well..." Chen Mo cleared his throat awkwardly. "In any case, I’m not giving up on either of you. Not a chance."
"You’re truly daring." Queen Medusa’s voice was icy. In the next instant, her figure vanished—only to reappear behind Chen Mo, striking out at his back with a palm.
Chen Mo’s sword-like brows arched. So fast! He quickly spun around to counter the blow.
A wave of silence followed.
When their palms collided, an invisible shockwave exploded outward.
Queen Medusa didn’t move an inch.
Chen Mo, on the other hand, was sent flying like a cannonball, crashing through several massive boulders and trees before finally skidding to a stop.

Chen Mo dropped to one knee, planting one hand on the ground as he coughed up a mouthful of blue blood.
Queen Medusa’s heart throbbed slightly. She instinctively reached out—but quickly withdrew her hand. Her voice was cold: "With strength like yours, you still dream of having both of us?"
"Then if I defeat you... do I have a shot at it?" Chen Mo wiped the blood from his lips and gave her a cheeky grin.
"Shameless and delusional."
Queen Medusa threw those words coldly over her shoulder, and just before leaving, she extended her hand toward the soft armor lying on the ground and summoned it into her grasp.
"Consider this compensation for how you wronged this Queen."
With that, she finally turned and soared into the sky, vanishing into the darkness after a short while.
"One day," Chen Mo shouted at the place where she disappeared, "I will get both of you sisters into my bed at the same time!"
"Then this Queen will kill you on the spot!"
A voice echoed back from the darkness.
Along with the voice came a streak of dazzling seven-colored light.
Chen Mo’s face changed.
The multicolored beam shot down and struck the ground just in front of his legs—missing a very vital part by less than three centimeters.
Embedded in the dirt was a brilliant, seven-colored serpentine longsword. A few moments later, it dissolved into Dou Qi and faded.
Cold sweat poured from Chen Mo’s forehead. He swallowed hard.
"Queen darling... are you really going to gamble your future happiness like that?"
This time, there was no response.
Queen Medusa... had truly left.
Chen Mo lingered at the mountain peak for a long while before finally making his way back to Wu Tan City.
