Queen Medusa stared at him, disbelief and heartbreak written all over her beautiful face.

A seven-colored, serpent-shaped longsword appeared in her hand. Her eyes were icy with grief and rage as she hissed, "Do you still remember what you promised me back then?"
"If you remember, then what the hell are you doing now?!"
Her voice cracked, filled with sobs and uncontrollable fury.

But by the time she reacted—
It was already too late.
Chen Mo didn't dodge.
Instead, he closed his eyes, accepting the blow without resistance.
Even though Queen Medusa pulled back at the very last moment and shifted the sword's trajectory, the blade still pierced into Chen Mo's chest.
"Why... why didn't you dodge?!" Queen Medusa's voice trembled as she stared in horror at the sword embedded in his chest.
Her face turned as pale as paper, her heart twisted in agony.
She loosened her grip, and the serpent sword dissolved into Dou Qi and scattered into the air.
A jet of blue blood spurted from Chen Mo's chest.
