Things were never the same between us anymore after that incident as I could always feel the tension between us whenever we happened to be in the same room while I secretly hoped that Alaric wouldn't notice us.

A flashback of our last intense quickie flooded my mind as I remembered meeting him in the warehouse when I was about to grab some things from there.

"Doesn't mean I should be the first to receive every news" I scoffed.
"Hmm, I thought you would know everything that goes on in this place since you're planning a plot to have the prince all to yourself " He grinned as he removed his hands from my waist and took some steps backwards while his hands were tucked in his suit pants.
"And how does that bother you?" I asked fiercely.
"Don't forget I'm doing you a favour by not reporting you to the prince for now or dealing with you myself " He raised his voice as he looked directly into my eyes.
"I believe I've paid you enough for the favour with the times I let you sleep with me, what would you have to say for yourself if you reported me?" I smirked but a chuckle left his mouth.
"You see, you're wrong there. I didn't sleep with you, I fucked you. And what makes you think I didn't fuck the other ladies the Prince have been with once he's finished with them" He sneered as my mouth slightly parted in awe.
He still had the upper hand and might truly report me so I really needed to do something about him as fast as possible. The anger in me wasn't making me think straight as I just wanted to end him right here in the kitchen.
"Forgive my tongue for having slipped all these while" I apologised while taking little walks closer to him. I placed my hands on his chest. His brows cocked in confusion but I connected my lips to his lips immediately I got near him to silence him.
It took a while but he seemed to have finally responded to my kiss as he deepened it even more while lifting me on the counter. He was going to fuck me hard on the counter again.
"Not so fast!" He held my hands tight until the knife fell off it as he chuckled lightly.
"You really want to use a mere knife on me?" He growled. He was angry already.
I honestly didn't know what I was thinking of by taking the knife to stab him with, whereas wolfsbanes can't work on him, not to talk of a mere kitchen knife.
"Tell me what you'll gain from killing me, little whore!" He growled while holding my face tight in his hands. It was hurting but I didn't want to appear as a bitch so I stayed still without flinching.
"Let go of me" I finally said. A smile tucked at the corner of his lips before he released his grip on my face and hands.
"Why do you think all of these are worth it. You'd really do anything to get the attention of a person that will never notice you?" He asked. I hated when any one tried to question my actions especially towards something or someone I really love as it made me boil in anger.
"I don't owe you an answer, now excuse me!" I sneered. I came down from the counter to walk out of the kitchen and think of the next thing I could do to properly dispose of this man but I knew it would be a tough task as he was almost as strong as Alaric, the only difference was that he didn't possess any special royal power.
He was quick to hold my hands before I would leave the room as he released a deep breath,
"I really like you and that's the only reason why I'm doing all of these. Just fucking forget about the Prince and have a life with me" He sighed and for some while those words sunk in as no one has ever said them to me but I didn't think it was possible for me to forget about Alaric.
I released my wrist from his hands and walked out of the room but heard him saying something about Adolph coming to the pack before walking far away.
If he was actually serious and Adolph was coming to town then this would be my moment to shine as I was a hundred percent sure he would be coming to see Lenora and she's in her worst state to be seen by the beast who would want a princess or rather a powerful person to be marked by his son.
Without hesitating, I brought out my phone to place a call to Clara. This is definitely the moment we've been waiting for in our entire time of knowing each other and she might as well come to end things with her daughter once and for all. I will definitely miss the little doe eyes I hate so much especially when they're looking at my Alaric.
