"Why are you always around?!" I turned to Christian and he stopped walking and raised his eyebrows
"What?"
"Stop following me" I said
"Who says I'm following you?" He asked and huh?
"What?" He took out his car keys and pressed it. I turned to see his car was just 3 cars beside me. I sighed and can't help but hit my head because I just embarrassed myself
"Want me to take you home?" He offered and I don't want to be in one place with him. I avoided him for 2 years so that he won't bring up our past together
"No thanks, I'm just going to take my papers and take the cab" I said without daring to look at him. I walked to my car and opened it. I took my bag full of papers about my client's request and stuff.
It's been a really crazy day, I looked at my watch and it's 9 p.m. I haven't eaten anything too. I'll just make a quick stop at starbucks later
"Taylor" Christian called and I stomped my foot secretly. God I don't want to deal with him
"What?" I pretended to be busy with my bag
"Taylor" Christian called again and I turned to him
"Huh? What?" I asked but not daring to look into his eyes
"Lock the car again" He said and I cursed myself for being so clumsy. I hit my head and hissed. I continued to walk to the building but someone caught my wrist. I turned to Christian in horror
"What? Huh? You scared me!" I shouted at him
"Let me drop you home"
"No thanks, I don't want to be in one car with a stranger" See, I began to say weird things
"Stranger? We've been friends since we were a baby Taylor" He stated the obvious and I smiled awkwardly at him
"Yeah right"
"Oh.. You're nervous because we slept together 2 years ago?" I wanted to kill him so bad right now. I laughed it off
"Chris, we barely see each other. How can we sleep together?" I said trying to calm myself. I smiled awkwardly
"If we barely see each other then why don't you want me to drop you home? We're friends right?" He asked and I turned to him smiling widely
"I need to go somewhere else" I reasoned out
"I'll drop you there" He said and I shook my head
"Going to see my boyfriend" Why did I come out with that? I cursed myself inside my head
"Imaginary boyfriend?" My eyes widen and I glared at him
"How can you say that? That's rude!"
"Well do you have a real boyfriend? Cause I doubt you have one" He smirked and put his hands into his pocket and I sighed
"Look Christian, I'm tired and had a lot of stress today. Can you just leave me alone?" I asked
"That's why let me drop you home so you can rest qui-"
"Okay fine, let's go" I hissed and he smirked because he's winning the argument. He unlocked the car and I followed him to his car. He got inside and gestured me to get inside too
"So lead the way beautiful" Thank God I wasn't eating or drinking at that time or I will be choke hearing he said that
"Why are you in LA?" I asked looking out through the window
"Work of course" He answered
"Oh" Awkward.. awkward..
Suddenly my stomach interrupted us, it growled. I blamed it for crying out when I'm with Christian. This is so embarrassing. I cursed myself again
"Hungry?"
"No" Lies
"Mcdonalds? Burger king? In n out?" He asked naming all the junk foods
"I'm not hun-"
"In and out it is" He cut me and turned his car to in n out. I looked at him disbelief
"Why bother asking?" I hissed and he turned to me smiling
"Because it's fun" He said and got out of the car. I put my bag inside his car and got out too. We walked side by side in n out. We both looked at the menu
"Animal fries 1" I said and he turned to me
"Only that?" He asked and I nodded
"I have a small stomach. I can't eat a lot of food" I sipped the coke since I'm so thirsty
"No wonder you have a sexy flat stomach" I choked on my drink big time hearing he said that. Christian patted my back
"I don't have a sexy flat stomach. You stalker" I glared at him and called him stalker instead. I kept coughing. He ordered the same as me and payed for it
"So how are you? How's the Portwalt doing?" He asked when we got into our table. He sat across me and I started to dig in my fries
"They're fine" I said
"How about you?" Chris asked looking at me curious
"I'm good, just stress a lot lately" I said not daring to look at his eyes
"You're a designer right?" He asked and I nodded
"Good to know"
"How do you even know my job?" I asked because I just turned myself into a designer about 6 months ago
"I have my sources beautiful" I choked again and Christian laughed
"Don't call me that, it's disgusting when it comes out of your mouth. You know we never be friends since we're kids" I said truthfully and that's right. We never stop fighting, we always cause chaos by fighting and threw each other things
"Why disgusting? We shared one night before" I looked up to him disbelief
"You're starting to imagine things, want me to take you to a therapist?" I asked and he raised his eyebrows
"Isn't it supposed to be the other way? You had amnesia about our night" He smirked and I looked away
"Christian, you're being weird" I said trying to cover up my expression
"Weird what? I still remember your birthmark on your left waist" I looked at him in disbelief. How can he say that out loud?
"Christian, you're being delusional. Are you sick?" I asked and he laughed
"You amuse me Taylor, but I like how you said my full name. Just like you always screamed that night" Unbelievable!
