"Why are you looking at the clock all the time? You should pay attention beca-"
"I miss my wife.. is that a crime?" I cut Brandon and he chuckled hearing me say that.
"Dude.. she just went to Miami for 2 days and you.."
"Wait till your turn." I cut him again and glared at him.
"You know.. you're the boss and you can go out now."
"The old man.." I pointed at my dad and he laughed silently.
"Just go.. but you owe me one." He smirked and I looked at him suspiciously.
"Go.." He said and I nodded. I got up and left the meeting room. I bet dad will try to call but sorry dad.. Scarlette is my number one priority now. I walked to the lift and tried to find my car keys. And again.. I got the clumlette virus.
"Here you go.. Clumlette's husband." I smiled seeing Brandon walk out and threw the key to me.
"Thanks." I said and entered the lift. Speaking about my clumsiness.. It makes me miss my wife more. I pressed L and leaned to the lift wall. I still have around 30 minutes so.. I still can buy her some flowers or maybe.. her favorite cake.
As I walked out from the lift.. my eyes widen..
"What ar-"
"Argh! I hate you! I was going to surprise you! You ruin it!" Scarlette pouted and stomped her feet. I chuckled and hugged her right away. I miss her so so much. It was just 2 days but I felt like a year. I know I'm overreacting but.. It's weird not seeing her clumsiness for a day.
"I miss you too!" She squealed, hugging me tightly.
"I was going to pick you up."
"Don't tell me that you ran away from your meeting?" She asked looking up to me and I gave her a peck on the lips.
"That's right.."
"You know.. Your dad will be mad." Scarlette poked my chess and I kissed her cheek.
"Ignore him.. so have you eaten?"
"Nope, I was going to surprise you and eat together with you, Mr. Lemiere." She smiled and I hugged her again. Gosh.. I miss her so much. It's so weird to sleep alone. I almost asked Dylan to come over and company me watch football.
"Well.. Mrs. Lemiere.. What do you want to eat?"
"Can we have that.. uhmm.. what is it.. Salmon salad and that pasta?" She asked as I pulled her luggage. We walked out from the building and gave my valet chauffeur my car keys.
"Of course."
"Matthew.. I found a cute guy.. wanna see it?" She asked as she took out her phone.
"You're married.. Scarlette." I hissed and she gestured to me to wait. She gave me a photo of a baby and I turned to her.
"Jealous? It's a baby, Matthew. If you're wondering that I will chest on you.. then you're freaking dumb." She put her hands on her waist glaring at me.
"Sorry.. I was ju-"
"Was what?" She hissed.
"Who doesn't want you? You're pr-"
"I freaking married a man that every woman wants to marry.. Do you think I will cheat on you? I'm the one who is supposed to be worried about that. You're a freaking.. a freaking.."
"Freaking what?"
"High quality meat!" That got me laughing so hard.
"High quality meat? You compared me to meat?" I asked, still laughing.
"I hate you! Go back to work and tell Brandon to come down. I want to eat lunch with the handsome Lemiere!" She bursted and people around us chuckled silently. I looked at her disbelief.
"Excuse me?"
"B R A N D O N L E M I E R E." She spelled at the same time when my car came.
"You go have lunch alone, I'm waiting for-" I crashed my lips to her to shut her up. I cupped her face to kiss her deeper.
"Get in." I stopped and looked straight into her eyes.
"Nope."
"Get in.. or I'll drag your cute little ass into the car."
"Fine!" She stomped her feet and walked towards the passenger seat. I opened the back of the car and put her luggage there. Suddenly someone ran towards us and it's my secretary.
"Sir, Mr. Lemiere was looking for you-"
"Tell him that I'm going out with my wife."
"He said it's important.."
"Ignore hi-"
"MATTHEW LEMIERE!" I turned to see my dad walking towards us.
"Hello, dad."
"Hey Scarlette, how's the flight?" My dad asked and yes.. He loves Scarlette like he loves Crystal. I mean Crystal gets more because it's his own blood but still.. He treated Scarlette like his own daughter.
"It's good, dad." Scarlette smiled.
"Have you eaten?"
"Nope, do you want to eat lunch together?" My eyes widen when she asked that. I mouthed her no.. but suddenly my dad coughed behind me.
"I need this man.. so you'll go eat lunch with Brandon." My dad grabbed my ear and dragged me.
"Dad! I miss my wife!"
"No.. can do.. I'm sorry, Matthew but this is your project not your brothers." He said dragging me away from Scarlette.
"Dad!"
"Bye.. bye babe. I love you!" Scarlette waved.
"Dad!" I said and he locked my arm. I can't believe him.
"Oh come on dad.. I miss my wife! Can I spe-"
"After your meeting.."
"Bye brother." I saw Brandon waving at the side.
"I'm watching you! You.." I hissed and Brandon laughed.
"Scarlette! Come with me to the-"
"Sorry love, I'm hungry." I can't believe that she said that.
"Finish the meeting and you can join her!"
"You're awful, dad!"
"This is my revenge to you for dragging me out from the house last saturday. I was having a great time with your mom.. so.. it's fair right?"
"You're unbelievable!!"
"Bye love.. see you!" I turned to see Scarlette linking his arm around Brandon.
"Scarlette!" I warned.
"Love you!"
"Love you too!! But don't you.." My dad dragged me to the lift and closed the door right away.
"I hate you so much."
"I love you too son.. I love you too." He patted my back and laughed.
