An hour later Colt had got through his shower without violating himself. He wrapped the towel around his hips, sagging dangerously low. He flipped the blankets back and…
“EEEEK!”
Holly jumped, hearing someone in the room next to her screaming like a little girl.
“HELP!”
Holly jumped up and ran next door where Dustin, Slade, and Candy were already trying to get the door open.
“What’s going on?”
Candy shrugged. “No idea.”
“GOD HELP ME PLEASE! I’ll do nothing bad ever again. I’ll go to church. I’ll read my bible. I’ll even help all the little orphans.” The door almost shook off its hinges as Colt tried to get the door ajar.
Holly looked around to figure out what to do to get the door open.
“AHHH! GET AWAY FROM ME! HELP!”
Slade shook the door. “Help him! Something’s killing him in there!”
Holly heard a manly chuckle rumble from down the hall, and she stretched her head to see who was there. Behind the curtain, at the end of the hall, she could see Cyrus’ shoes sticking out from under it. He peeked around the curtain and saw Holly glaring at him.
“What did you do, Cyrus Evans?”
Colt bolted out the door almost completely buck naked and leaped into Slade’s arms, screaming like a banshee. He was holding his towel over himself as best he could, looking like he just witnessed the devil himself.
“It’s a freakin’ demon rat!”
Holly pressed her lips together with her hands on her hips in annoyance. “Cyrus. You’re an ass.” She stomped into the room and looked around, seeing a brief movement under the blankets. A little squeak came from underneath.
“BABE! Don’t be a hero. Get out of there! Save yourself.” Colt yelled to her.
Slade realized his best friend was half-naked and dropped him on the floor. Candy giggled as Colt scrambled to get to his feet and attempted to hide his goods. By now the hall was full of onlookers, and whistles and catcalls were coming from all directions.
“Shut up, you assholes. There is an enormous rat in there.” Little did anyone know, but Colt’s biggest phobia was rats or anything that resembled them.
Holly started laughing as she picked up Cyrus’s pet ferret. “Come here, Ozzy. Cute little baby.”
Holly walked out with the ferret, petting it. “Who’s a good boy.” She made kiss faces at the fuzzy mask-faced culprit.
“Put that thing down! It could have rabies!” Colt jumped behind Slade.
“This is Ozzy. It’s Cyrus’s pet ferret. Cy must have snuck in when you didn’t realize it.”
“Wa… What?” Colt looked around from behind Slade.
“Dude? You’re afraid of a ferret? I need your man card back.” Slade shook his head in disapproval.
At the end of the hall, Cyrus was laughing so hard he couldn’t breathe. Pointing and laughing at Colt. “Pussy. You were so scared.”
Colt grumbled under his breath.
Holly’s eyes veered south as she realized Colt was almost nude. She started biting her fingertip, looking over the deep V that was like an arrow to her own personal paradise. “Mmm.”
She bit her lip and Cyrus saw the look in her eyes. He rushed down the hall and grabbed Ozzy from her hands. With the other hand, he grabbed her arm and shoved her toward her hotel room. He stomped like a child looking back at Colt.
“Pervert!”
Candy started laughing hysterically at the madness of Colt hiding his nudity from the crowd and Cyrus acting like an overprotective old granny. She suddenly felt a pool of wetness leak down her leg. At first, she thought it was that she was pregnant and peed a little from laughing so hard until she looked down and a gush pooled on the floor.
“Uh. Slade.”
Cyrus looked into the shocked eyes of Candy. When he looked down, he saw it. “Oh… shit.”
Slade looked where Cyrus’ eyes had gone. He looked up at Candy. “It’s time?”
“It’s time.”
Slade grabbed Colt and shook him excitedly, making Colt lose his towel. Colt scrambled once again to grab the towel, but it was too late. Everyone saw what he was packing under that towel.
Candy laughed again, grabbing her belly from a contraction. “Ten. Good score! Ouch…”
The running joke of scoring Candy and Slade’s public sex-capades made the whole hallway burst out in laughter. Slade saw Colt trying to hide, knowing his friend was endowed, but nothing nearly like he was. He just held his head high, knowing he was the “bigger” man.
“Eh. I give him an eight for effort.”
Colt scowled. “Can we not talk about my dick and pay attention to the fact Candy is having a baby right now? Move it, you losers! I need to get dressed. My new baby niece or nephew is coming!” He shoved Slade out of the way and headed to grab clothes.
A sudden full wave of contractions hit Candy. “OOOH! I need to go to the hospital now.”
Holly snapped her fingers at Slade, who was just looking at her dumbfounded. “Hey. Jungle Dick. Your wife is having a baby. Maybe you should start heading to the nearest exit.”
Slade looked over at her with the most clueless look. “Huh?... Oh yeah. Baby…” He looked back and Candy who was tapping her foot waiting for him to catch on. “OH! BABY! IT’S TIME!” He picked up Candy into his arms and hightailed it down the hall to the elevator. “I’M GONNA BE A DADDY! WHOO!”
Everyone in the hall chuckled at Slade’s cluelessness.
Holly turned her focus to Cyrus scolding him. “That’s messed up what you did to Colt.”
Cyrus smirked with an cheesy grin and blew her a kiss. “It’s just the start, little Sister. Old Colt better watch his back. I’m coming for him.” He petted Ozzy like a mad scientist. “Bahaha!”
“You’re evil. Go find Isis and Gage. We need to get to the hospital.” Holly shook her head playfully. “It was a good prank, though.”
Cyrus fit bumped her and headed down the hall through the sea of onlookers looking pleased as punch with himself. He couldn’t literally kill Colt, but he was going to make his life a living hell and tease him relentlessly.
