F A R A H
The rays of the sun woke me up from my deep slumber, I slept in the same place Jawad left me yesterday. The room was quite only the sound of birds chirping.
I literally walked to the bathroom and took a hot bath to soothe my aching body. I dressed into a simple black legging with a white baggy top and tied my hair in a bun wrapping my hijab on it.
My eyes roam to the bed finding it clean exactly as it is yesterday, it means Jawad didn't sleep in the room. I ignore the pang of hurt I felt, brushing off the thought of Jawad I decided to make myself some breakfast since aunt Fatima is still on vacation.
I stood in front of the fridge contemplating what to make, I decided to make some pancakes with hot chocolate. I set my plate on the dining ready to devour when I heard sounds of footsteps, I don't have to be told who it was because nobody is living in the house apart from me and Jawad. Ignoring him I continue devouring my food.
fifteen minutes later, I was done with the little work, mainly washing the things I used in the kitchen. As I have nothing to do, I settle myself on the couch and continue reading my book. hearing some footsteps, I looked up to find Jawad taking out cola from the fridge. Sound echo through the living room it must be his phone, as mine is with me. keeping the cola on the counter, he went away to pick up his phone. a plan popped up in my head, an evil smirk made itself to my lips. Tiptoeing quietly to the counter, I shake it up and down the way it will be perfect for my plan, keeping it back gently making sure Jawad wouldn't know someone touched it. I tiptoed back to the couch. I let out a smile. Just wait and see Jawad. just then, he came back still talking on the phone. without noticing the cola has been touched, he opens the lid and bangs the cola spilled all over his shirt, white shirt at it. Covering my mouth with my palms, I held in my laughter, hearing him cussing. While passing he glares at me, I frowned as if I didn't know what happened when I reality I'm the sole reason. The moment I noticed he has already left I broke out laughing. The look on his face when the cola spilled on his body was really something to laugh about. Well, Jawad this is just the beginning. I laughed at my own action, getting back to my book with a smile on my face.

After praying, I changed into my pajamas ready to sleep, after the incident Jawad left the house grumbling with a new pair of a shirt he kind of look better than the old one.
So here I am reciting my night prayers when my so-called husband enters the room in his glory with his face emotionless as usual. I'm getting used to his cold treatment already so I just I ignored him, I was about to get out of the room, being in the same room with him wouldn't do me good, so it's better if I find some quiet place.
“Farah” I heard him call my name, turning to him, he sat on the left side of the bed, with a laptop which means he's still working and that at late night.
“Can you keep this file inside the drawer for me” he outstretched his hands. why can't he keep it by himself? I'm suspicious of his actions
Taking the files from his hands, I took slow steps towards the drawer and kept them. I felt something tickling my leg, at first I if ignored it but it ticks again. My eyes went down to my leg and what I saw made my eyes widen. Oh my Allah “cockroach!” Subhanallah!! I didn't know when the words left my lips. I shouted with all my might, stumbling backward, I fell on my back
“Ouch” I wince in pain. I heard Jawad laughing, a serious one. I've never seen him laugh like this. He's laughing on top of his lungs clutching his stomach.
“Scary cat,” he said in the midst of laughter.
“What's funny, I'm in pain and you're there laughing at me” I spat scratching my back. His laugh suddenly died down. I knew it.
“Do you think you're smart? that I wouldn't know what you did?” He folded his hand across his chest getting off the bed to where I'm slouched down. It can't be.
“I know you're the one behind that cola incident, trying to irritate me huh” his face was now few inches from mine.
“I know you're scared of cockroach, so I kept the fake cockroach on the floor on purpose, so that you will experience the same thing you did to me and now my mission is accomplished” he clapped his hands together, I can't think straight with his face so close to mine.
“I hope next time, you won't try to do something stupid” he inches closer. my heart beating increases. “Because Jawad Abdallah is not someone to mess with” he left leaving me stunned.
Oh Allah, what just happened? how did he knows that I'm scared of a cockroach? All my thoughts vanish when I heard a loud thud.
