Ethan woke up to the sound of his phone alarm blaring. For the first time in his life, he had set an alarm to wake him up. Why? He had never been this drained! Not by training or fighting beasts or by the girls (cough). The thing was his mother really drained them of every ounce of energy they had that they ended up bundled in his room in the Avluv household. The girls shared rooms with Harley and Clara in Harley's room and Andriel and Carmen in the guest room.
In fact, Ethan was the only one who managed to wake up from the alarm. Trevor, his new brother and Lamair were sprawled all over the floor like huge human shaped pancakes. Tia had transformed into her earring form out of fatigue. Angitia and Galeno were in a short coma. In fact, Ethan was strong enough to wake up at 6 am after that training. For the first time he witnessed what they meant by a drill. They were thoroughly drilled, and this was just the starting.

"See you kids later! Carmen will tell you our new location." Madeleine said to Ethan and his friends as they headed towards the TerraEdge, Ethan moving towards the driver's compartment. Carmen stayed behind and watched them leave before she turned to her master, now her mother-in-law.
"I will try my best to keep him from those old idiots." Carmen said with a serious expression.
"Don't sweetie. Ethan has it under control. Let's just watch him from afar. After all, he's now your husband-to-be. Don't you want your husband to be strong and powerful?"
"Mm. Now get going. You have work to do."
"Start contacting the others. It's time. I will be visiting my father too."

Ethan and his team arrived in the academy in 10 minutes with more time to spare. Trevor was grumbling non-stop about how Ethan was using his position as his elder brother to bully him causing Emily to seal his mouth with a tight kiss. This was all part of the plan! Such shamelessness!
As the TerraEdge slowed to a park and the doors opened, they heard murmurs all around, which was pretty normal but with Ethan's senses, he heard them clearly.
"That monster? No wonder he became strong that fast."
"You are just envious. Just because you look like a tattered rag doesn't mean that you should antagonize him."
"How can they allow a monster into the academy?"
"He's a very handsome monster at that."
"Maybe he's the principal's spirit beast. They are kinda close."

"Ethan?" Ethan turned to Trevor; their eyes boring into each other.

The doors to the TerraEdge opened with a soft ding, causing almost everyone to look at it. The passengers started getting off one-by-one, creating an atmosphere of tension and anticipation among the crowd. It was clear what they were waiting for, and he gave it to them.
Ethan slowly and confidently got off the vehicle while fixing his uniform and adjusting his glasses. He released a calm, confident but dangerous presence which caused everyone to turn silent. He smiled confidently as he took Clara's hand and headed towards the year 2 campus area.
As he walked away with his friends in tow, everyone couldn't help but think, "He's so cool!"
Leon looked at his phone with anger on his face. What was the cause?
He had been watching Ethan's arrival, looking for some kind of drama or confrontation to befall Ethan. How he was doing that? There was a tiny drone capturing everything in 4K and he regretted ever doing that.
Not only did Ethan look calm, but he also held Clara's hand in public while smiling. Despite his anger, there was one thing that sent chills across his spine anytime he remembered it had no plans of leaving him.
When Ethan was leaving, he suddenly stopped, raised his head slightly and smirked while looking straight at the drone. His eyes glowed red a little, causing Leon to shiver in his seat.
It was like Ethan was saying, "I'm aware of your little game, so what?"
If only he knew how true and accurate his thoughts were.
