"Mr. Stranger, can I get a teddy bear?" Tris tugged at Cole.
To be honest, Amy was surprised that Tris was acting like she wasn't here with them. He kept asking Cole for one thing or another, and Cole was spoiling him without thinking. He'd spent over a hundred bucks or so on just snacks and food. Tris had eaten so much Cotton candy, Amy was surprised he didn't have a cotton tree growing in his tummy.
He was so tired and full of all the junk food that he finally decided he needed to go home. Amy was relieved he was tired enough to know they needed to go. Although Amy enjoyed herself, nighttime had come, and her bed was calling her name already.
They were about to leave when Tris caught sight of a game shop that housed a lot of teddies.
"Cole, I thought you said you wanted to go home? We can come.back later, or better still, buy you any teddy of your choice tomorrow," Amy whined tiredly.
Tris turned to Cole immediately.
"Mr. Stranger, can you please beg my mum to let us play this game? I really want that blue teddy, and they don't sell it in other shops. Please?" He pleaded with Cole.
"Fine, let's go," Cole gave in without any resistance.
Amy groaned weakly as Tris dragged them to the game shop. She didn't know what charm Tris had on other people, but they just couldn't say no to him.
"Hey, he wants to get the Blue teddy bear. How much is it?" Cole asked.
"Who said it's up for a price?" The man said through his nose.
"Is it free?" Amy asked.
"Of course not, woman! If he wants the blue teddy bear, he'd have to work for the blue teddy bear," the man cooed, mystery oozing from his voice.
"How?"
"Oh, it's very simple. All he has to do is to take the gun, and in ten seconds, try to hit the gingerbread figure!" The man pointed to the corner of his shop where a gingerbread figure stood.
"Oh? That should be simple-"
"To okay the game, you have to pay ten bucks," the man stretched his hands.
"Do we really have to do this?" Amy groaned in fatigue.
"Here I was, thinking it was free," Cole muttered as he placed a note on his palm.
"Okay, young prince. Go play the game and get your teddy bear," Cole told him.
Tris gingerly walked to the game spot.
"One... Two... Ready... Go!!" The man pressed a button immediately. Tris picked the gun, and a goofy video game soundtrack began playing, indicating the beginning of ten seconds.
And out of nowhere, about sixteen different ninja figures came out of nowhere to defend the gingerbread.
"What the...," Cole muttered in shock.
As Tris began shooting, the ninja figures began moving randomly, blocking the plastic bullet from touching the gingerbread figure. As if that was not enough, the gingerbread figure itself was moving.
Unfortunately, ten seconds was only so long to win the game. Time was over in the twinkle of an eye.
"Hey! That's unfair! You didn't tell us that the gingerbread figure would be defended by ninjas. And that wasn't even up to ten seconds!" Cole protested once the time was up.
"Did you ask?" He asked, mischief written in his eyes.
"Let's just go home," Amy groaned.
"Can I play one more time, please?" Tris begged.
"One more time," Cole gave the man ten more bucks.
Tris started the game with more determination in his eyes, but they dissipated when it went the same way as the previous game.
"Oh! And he almost got it!" He lamented in ingenuine agony.
"One last time!" Cole slapped buck and buck into the thief's hands but it kept the same way. The ninjas were too much and too hard to get through, and even on rare occasions where Tris's ball passed through them, the gingerbread was away from the position.
It seemed as though this game was not supposed to be won.
Cole kept paying for a chance to play the game, even though he knew all this was a scam to take his money.
"Surely, there has to be a way around this game. Move, young prince," Cole took over the spot and played his game. He lost at first, then he lost again... And again... And again.
He was literally sweating, trying to hit the gingerbread figure, with Tris at his side, cheering him on. But all his chances resulted in loss.
"I've had enough of this! Get out of my way!" Amy bellowed and pushed away the game stop.
With rage in her eyes took off her left slippers and with all the strength she could mutter, she threw it into the game. It succeeded in breaking more than half the ninja figures and the gingerbread figure.
"No! My game!" The game person put his hands over his head.
"That's game. Get me the teddy bear," she ordered the man.
"Woman! You just ruined my game-"
She charged at him and dragged him by the collar.
"My son wants a teddy bear, and I want to sleep. Get me that blue teddy now, or you get tipped in half," she threatened.
Fear gripped the game person, and he immediately complied. He went into his shop, and came back with the blue teddy bear.,
"Here, take! Just leave my shopl!" He begged them and they all left.
"We should've done that earlier," Cole laughed as they left the amusement
They got outside and Amy was meters away from you, trying to board a taxi. She adamantly refused to let him drive them to the car.
"Mr. Stranger?" Tris called.
"Yeah, young prince?"
"My mum's birthday is next week. Did you know that?"
"What?!"
"Come on! I finally got a cab! Say goodbye and come in!", She hollered at Tris.

Amy came back home and went straight to her room to catch some sleep..
She was about to change her clothes when she saw something in her back pocket.
"What the..."
She took it out, and saw that it was a wad of cash and a note.
"For the tickets. Forgive me. I just can't allow a beautiful woman to pay for tickets. That's the money for the tickets. I hope you had fun tonight. Goodnight, Amy," the note read.
"Urggh. Butterflies again," Amy muttered as she held her stomach.
