Conan listened attentively to every word she had to say, it was amazing how she survived a cruel event and still had the will to live,
"She picked me up from the rose forest after she saw me discarded there, I was conscious after a few days and she told me everything that had happened in my absence." Her eyes wander to the moon and back, "I never believed that my daughter would be able to drive Mace back but I'm indeed proud."
"How the Queen did it still baffles me, they say she didn't spare anyone after she saw your demise...." The words come slow but still had the sharp effect,
"It must have hurt to see her mother die in front of her eyes......" She sniffs back the tears to make sure he didn't see them, "Sativa told me that Mace had relieved her of her duty after she persistently told him that Arcadia would be his downfall. And ever since then, she has been waiting for that to happen. So apparently she no longer works for Mace and is now my sage."
"My Queen, what would we do now? Queen Arcadia would be here any moment, will you show yourself to her?" He cocks his brow and she mimics his actions,
"What she does to you really doesn't concern me, if your brother loves you then he will beg to make sure you don't die, I could care less." She stifles the laughter that escapes her lips after seeing the look of fear on Conan's face, "I don't understand the young of these times, y'all always doing stupid things and expecting us to save you all the time."
"We're only trying to help!" He defends, he didn't want to die.
"We'll look at what your helping has gotten you into." She explodes in a chortle, "I hope you can beg, that's the only thing that can save you. And as for revealing myself, I'm not too sure. I do not want to put her in any sort of danger with my presence, I would still give it some thought."
A bird crows and the Raven flies into the room, it lands on Conan's shoulder, it's eyes perching to see the beautiful woman that sat on his table, the scroll in it's mouth almost falling. Conan looses the scroll and reads it, he gulps slightly but he hid the apprehension that clouded his eyes,
"They'll be here by tomorrow, they travel so fast." He was astonished but even he knew which route they took as it only took him hours to reach the kingdom; there was a valley that leads to all the kingdoms and it was said that the valley was enchanted.
"That's good, I believe the person my daughter would target is you, since she is unaware of your plans." She searches her chest area for something, he couldn't stop looking at her heavy bossom, and neither could the Raven, she pulls out a key, "here." She hands it to him as she had a feeling she would need to leave pretty soon.
"What Is this?" That was the dumbest question he had asked since he saw her, he blushes a bit and rephrases himself, "I mean, what does it open?"
"The slave room; once Arcadia attacks you will set the prisoners free, I will handle the guards there." She gets off the table and straightens her dress, until he stops her,
"Beta Czar came to me with a dead body, he wanted me to investigate the matter," his entrance made a dainty smirk spread across her plump lips, she turns around with a small smile and that is when Conan exhumes the dead body, "did you do this my Queen? So I would know how to lie to them."
She peers at the young warrior, she had seen him before but when she sees the marks and bruises her face begins to squeeze. Conan hoped she would say yes but her silence was giving off another vibe. She steps back and pauses to think,
"My Queen?" She was too quiet for his liking.
"I have been exterminating those who come close to knowing my truth, but....." She takes a closer look, "I spared him."
"He knew?!" His eyes almost fall Off as she nodded to his question,
"He promised me not to tell and swore loyalty to me....but......how?" She was equally confused and she bends to take in his faded scent, she could smell something else but she couldn't pinpoint where she had smelt it before, "he was killed but not by me. It's either he went against protocol or they know about our secret." She opens his eyelids to see the fear in his eyes.
"That means we're in deep trouble!" The doctor was already shivering like a cold cat as she checked him for anything, she looks at the scratches on his neck and wrists, things that were never there before. She knew he was hanged but.......
"Beta Czar......" Was the only reasonable answer she could give, Conan's eyes widen once again,
"But why would he kill one of his own? Are you sure about this Queen?" The look of fear on his face continued to grow as the story became more complicated than ever. She nods slowly as she looked at where the scratches were.
"I do not have all the answers this time but I know he did this, I do know why but he definitely killed this man." She takes a step back as she suspected Loki would come to fetch her soon, "I will investigate but for now tell Mace he has an enemy inside and his enemy attacked him." She turns to the door and bids him goodnight, "make sure to defend yourself adequately." And she leaves, going back to Orla.
Conan looks at the body, Beta Czar? But why? It made no sense but when the Queen says something then she sees something. And this was something he couldn't really see.
It was already pitch black and the advancing army of Queen Arcadia was slowing down to a halt, although their Queen didn't want to slow down one bit. Her horse kept galloping and it was hard for her soldiers to keep up with her. The thirst for vengeance was a bitter taste in her mouth that only Mace's blood would be able to wash away. She was tired but she refused rest, even food and water, she wanted to end a certain alpha before resting.
"My Queen!! Arcadia!!" She freezes, only when he calls her by her name, she turns back and her horse begins to slow down, the majestic black king already getting sore from the travel, "my Queen we need to rest."
"No, why rest when we're so close? If we keep going we would be able to plan an attack on them while they're sleeping, I think that's the best thing to do." She is about to kick the horse back into start but he uses his to block her path, he comes closer to her to be able to get to her,
"We're very tired, our soldiers can't fight with fatigue chaining their bodies, it would be trying to fight without any strength." His words become hushed as the wind tickled their senses, "and besides, I want to spend some time with you before we go into war." That one was more silent than the others and it had successfully managed to calm her down.
She drags the reins and her horse takes a reverse motion, moving slowly to the opposite direction while he followed beside her,
"We continue our journey before Dawn, I do not want to waste any time on this. We're already in his territory so we need to make sure we're well hidden." She was beginning to sound like her mother, Asher rolls his eyes and moves even closer to her, his lips press against her cheeks and she blushes slightly, "what was that for?" She hoped the others didn't see them as they were coming into view, her men had stopped to set up a camp and Xerxes had told Asher to bring her back.
He doesn't answer her and he turns her head to press his lips on hers, the fatigue begins to show as their lips wrestled, she was exhausted,
"Why did you do that?" She is humbled even with the proud look on her face,
"A little taste of what I would do tonight."
