"I accept you.. um.. do you accept me?" She mutters into my shirt and I laugh, causing my chest to vibrate.
"Babe, I was yours the moment you looked at me." I say kissing the top of her head, grinning.
"Come let's walk back, it's getting cold and I still haven't fed you." I say as I begin to walk with my mate in my hand.
She timidly follows my lead. Good girl.
"I-I still can't believe this is real.. d-do vampires exist?" She asks and I put my head back laughing.
She has no idea about the world around her, human's don't see what they don't believe.
"Sweetheart, you have no idea." I kiss her forehead. "I will tell you everything. But first I want to feed my girl." I smile at her cheeks, much redder than before.
She hums and I love her voice, I want to hear it more. She's interested in our world, she's a part of it now and I'm so proud she's gaining confidence to ask me.
"Your girl?" She says, a hint of playful tone in her voice.
"Mine." I growl at her playfully. "You are stuck with me human." I wink at her bashful face.
I love teasing her. "I love your smile sweetheart."
She hides her face with her free hand and I laugh louder at how shy she is around me.
"So mean." She mumbles shyly glancing at me. My eyes never leaving her.
"That's me. Big bad wolf." I grin as I go to lift her up over my shoulder to which she shrikes out.
"O-oh my go- Kane! Put me down!" She hits my back gently and I can't stop grinning.
"Nope, you're mine." I slap her bum playfully and she yelps.
"K-Kane!" She yells quietly, no doubt red as an apple by now.
"On second thought. I'm taking you to our house." I say and she stops her hitting my back.
"Our house?" She mumbles.
I grin. "Sweetheart, you didn't think I'd let you live apart from me did you? "I pinch her butt and she laughs trying to swat my hand away.
"K-Kane! Ugh infuriating wolfman, put me down!" She huffs out hitting my back. It sends tingles every time she touches me.
I laugh and put her down. Her whole face is red.
I kiss her gently on her pouting lips. "I'm sorry little mate." I tuck a loose train of hair behind her ear. "I just want to be close to you."
"But living together?" She says. "I've known you less than a week!" She huffs out. As I simply just smile and nod. "Don't you think it's too soon? I-I mean I just saw you turn into a giant wolf! Y-you, don't e-even know me! I could be a mass murderer for all you know!" Her hands are waving in the air as she says 'giant wolf' making me laugh.
I bet she couldn't even hurt an insect.
I frown. "You don't want to live with me?"
Her face drops. "That's not what I meant." She continues. "I-I just meant are you sure? Like are you sure you want me... I mean I'm me and you are.. you.. we are total opposites." She frowns at the last part.
I kneel in front of her and she freezes. "Sweetheart, I promise to you now that you are the only woman for me, I have been with nobody else, I promise you." I kiss her small beautiful feminine hand, still on my knees, and look into her eyes. "You are forever for me Sora, you have my heart."
Her face blushes. "Heart?" She whispers.
I nod and put her hand to my chest above my heart. "Do you feel that?" I whisper. "It beats for you, you are my moon, my stars, my whole universe, I will show you every day that I am yours mate."
Her heart spikes up and I know she thinks this is soon, she had to know how I feel. I will say this every day until she believes me for the rest of my life.
"I like you too." She mumbles, hiding her rosy face.
I stand up and smile down at my mate. "Let's go home and we will discuss it more over lunch, ok?"
She nods and I begin walking her in the direction of our home. I'm finally taking my mate home. The house I built her us, the house I spent all my time on for when I finally find her, to raise our pups and grow old together in. I want to tell her everything, tell her how much control she has over me, tell her how much I love her, the very moment I laid my eyes on her.
But I keep my mouth closed.
I want her to be comfortable and telling her I can't live without her was hard to try and not panic her, or run away from me.
"I will catch mate." Dex says happily
"You would scare her Dex, she needs time. We have to take it slow." I say sighing.
She accepts us as a mate. That is a start.
Now I just need to persuade her to live with me.
I glance down at our hands, her hand looks miniature in my larger one. She feels perfect, soft, and warm. Everything I'm not.
She accepts us, that's enough for me.
