Blood spilt from its abdomen and she quickly let go of its neck. Blood dripped from its neck too and it fell on the ground beside her. Fay breathed heavily from the fight as her long wolf tongue hung out. Alpha Clause rushed to her still in his lycan form. He squatted down by her leg and placed his large, slightly furry hand on it. He stared at it as he used his lycan powers on her. The wound closed and she stopped feeling pain.
She sighed in relief and he took his hand from her leg then wrapped his arms around her wolf. She shifted into human form in his arms and looked up at him, "Thank you."
He shifted from his lycan form to human form and nodded at her. He tightened his arms around her and moved his head to the crook of her neck. "You lost so much blood, it scared me to see you like that. Don't fight rogues on your own again. Run whenever you are outnumbered."
Fay shook her head in denial, her frizzy dark hair bouncing around her neck, "No, they're not stronger than me and I am Luna, I have to fight them to protect other pack members."
Alpha Clause let out a sigh, "Fine, but I will make sure to always be there with you so that this wouldn't happen again."
A satisfied smile touched her lips, "Thanks."
"Now, let's get you inside so that you can cover up." He murmured against her hair before pulling back from me.
Fay's POV
"Okay, let's go in." I answered him as his gaze moved down my almost naked body as I used my hand to cover my chest and the other to cover my private part.
I saw desire flash through his eyes, and he started changing back to his human form. As soon as he did, he scooped me up in his arms and started towards the back door. Since he was an Alpha, his clothes which was blue jeans only were still intact. But min have shredded to pieces. He held me close against his chest and made sure that the other pack members didn't see my body as he had his back to them while walking towards the door.
As we walked inside and made our way up the stairs, we were lucky enough not to meet anyone. I felt relieved as we reached in front of his bedroom's door since no one besides my mate saw my nakedness. He pulled the door open and placed me on the bed. He stepped back and trailed his gaze down my naked body as I quickly pulled the duvet around me.
I felt vulnerable and a bit shy being completely naked in front of him even though he had already seen me the night before. But not like this. My lips stretched into a shy smile as I murmured, "My eyes are up here, Clause."
He chuckled in his velvety deep voice as he sat down beside me, "I know, Fay, but I want to look at every part of you."
I grinned more confidently, "Such a sweet talker."
"Only for you, baby." He murmured as his hand moved to my dark hair.
Alpha Clause ran his fingers through it and I closed my eyes, enjoying the feeling of his fingers in my hair. My eyes opened back up when I heard him say, "The fall ball is this evening, there will be many wolves there and all members of the Five will be there."
"I have never been big enough to be invited to it, but I guess I am now as your Luna. I'm already excited to go, I bet it will be fun." My words made him smile wider as he pulled his hand out of my hair.
"Well, now you're among the most important people in our werewolf community. I'll head into the bathroom and clean up." He said as he stood up, his captivating dark eyes searching mine before moving down my duvet covered body.
Alpha Clause moved his gaze back up to my eyes as I replied, "Sure, I'll go in after you."
He nodded and turned to walk into the bathroom while I started searching to my phone. I remembered that I have left it in the garden, so I grabbed Alpha Clause's phone that was beside the pillow and scrolled through the contacts to my number. I tapped on my name on his phone which was, My Fay. The call started ringing and I placed his phone against my ear.
Someone picked up and a smooth voice came though the phone that sounded like Beta Connor, "Hello?"
"Hey, Beta. It's Fay, I left my phone in the garden, so I just wanted to make sure that it was still there and the rogues didn't take it or anything like that." I said to him, nervously.
"Yeah, I understand, Luna. I can bring it up to you now." He replied in a light voice as if he was smiling.
"No, you don't have to. You can keep it with you and I'll get it after I'm done cleaning up."
"No, I insist."
"I would rather you don't, but thanks for trying to help." I replied to him with a smile, feeling surprised at his kindness since he seemed close with Brittany.
"Okay, then. I'll be in the living room once you're ready to get it."
"Sure." I replied to him and hung up the call just as the bathroom's floor opened and Alpha Clause walked out.
"Who are you talking to, my one?" He asked me as he stepped towards me in dark blue jeans and no top.
I was amazed at how s*xy he looked with his rock hard abs and muscular arms. My heart raced as butterflies fluttered in my tummy. I heard a chuckle from him and he said, "My eyes are up here."
I raised my eyes up to his and our eyes clashed, his dark eyes gazing into my brown ones as desire and love swirled in them. Delightful shivers ran through my body as I felt the same desire for him.
