Chapter 1878: Special Blood Essence
Grey stayed in the same position for about twenty minutes before finally managing to get into a sitting position. He groaned in pain as he sat upright, holding his right lower ribs, he could tell that a few of the bones there were broken. Looking at the condition of both Void and the Bunny Leader, killing intent surged out from his body, taking a look at the portal, he gnashed his teeth before taking out some healing tonics he had in his spatial storage, passing them to both Void and the Bunny Leader, before using it on himself.
The condition of the duo was a little more serious than his own. Picking up the duo, he looked around, trying to see if this place was familiar, but he shook his head after about a minute or so, he was completely unaware of where this place is located. All he knew was that this was the Magical Beast’s Forest, the pure savage and primitive aura in the air was one of the telling features of the Inner Court of the Magical Beast’s Forest.
“That stupid old man, he better pray I do not enter this place again.” Saying through gritted teeth, he left with Void and the Bunny Leader in his arms. Other than the Dragons, he did not have any relationship with any other Magical Beast Clan, if he were to trespass into their territory, especially the Toad Clan, then he might end up dead. Hence the reason he wanted to make sure he finds a place where he can recover most of his strength before setting out.
After ten minutes of flying, Grey sensed something he did not expect to sense anywhere near the Inner Court of the Magical Beast’s Forest.
“Huh?” He was visibly shocked, looking in the direction he sensed the aura from, he muttered, “How can this be?”
This was the Magical Beast’s Forest, and even though humans occasionally venture here, it is mainly from invitation. At the moment, what he could sense was not just humans, but Necromancers.
“How can Necromancers be living in the Magical Beast Forest?” He was a little concerned, the thought of investigating the sudden appearance of the Necromancers in the Magical Beast’s Forest came to his mind, but looking at his condition, as well as that of Void and the Bunny Leader, he did not dare to put them in harm’s way, shaking his head, he left this place in a hurry. He was not in the condition to have any battle at the moment.
Five minutes after Grey left the area.
Three human figures appeared in the sky, one of them sniffing the air.
“Such magnificent blood essence, I wonder which Magical Beast it belongs to.”
“Most likely the Dragons.”
At the mention of the Dragons, the trio all kept mute.
“Even if it’s one of them, we have to find out which one. There’s something special hidden in this particular blood essence.”
One of the figures took in a deep breath as he spoke, one could see the ecstasy in his eyes as he spoke. As they spoke, a fourth figure appeared. This figure was not as large as the others, barely over a meter tall.
All three human figures bowed to the newly arrived figure.
“What drew you guys out?” The short figure did not acknowledge their greetings, asking them the reason they came out.
“My Lord, we sensed the presence of a strong blood essence, it’s very faint, but you know I have dealt with countless blood essence and was able to sense it while the owner was passing by.” One of the human figures said.
“Blood essence? Better than those Dragons?” The short human figure is a Gnome, while the trio before him were most likely Necromancers. These were all Peak Sovereigns, so if anything is able to catch their attention, then it must be very special. The Dragons were the top Magical Beasts, hence the reason he asked if the blood essence was better than that of Dragons.
“Yes. And if I’m not mistaken, it actually belongs to a human.” The man who told the Gnome about the blood essence nodded in confidence.
“Oh? If that’s the case, we better find this person as soon as possible.” The Gnome would not want to miss out on the opportunity of capturing a powerful expert it could use.
“The owner sensed our presence and is currently hiding, we will need a few people if we want to fish them out.” The Necromancer explained.
“Hmm, we will have to be careful while searching. You know the humans are not aware we are hiding here, nor are the Magical Beasts.” The Gnome said with a thoughtful expression, as much as he was interested in whoever this person was, he also did not want to alert the Dragons of their presence here. It took a lot of effort to bring this much manpower here without alerting humans or Magical Beasts, one wrong move will expose their whereabouts.
“You don’t have to worry, we can make the Beast Clan here help us, they too would not want the humans and Magical Beasts attacking them.” The man said with a sinister chuckle.
The only reason they could hide here is thanks to the Magical Beast Clan who controlled this territory, knowing that they would not want to draw the ire of the other Magical Beasts, they would not dare to allow anyone with anyone knowledge of the Gnomes and Necromancers’ presence here to leave their territory.
“Okay, I’ll let you three handle this.” The Gnome nodded before turning around and leaving.
“You two go over to that stupid frog and tell it we need its help. I’ll try to find the location of the owner of this blood essence.” One of the men said. The other two nodded, not arguing with him. He was the one who sensed the blood essence from afar, it was only after coming here did they sense it, so they knew he was the best person for this.
