Wrong Love, Final Goodbye: She'll Never Look Back Chapter 116

Aunt Tawny hesitated, realizing she might have said the wrong thing. She looked at Tanya Sinclair’s porcelain-like face with worry and concern. Madam seems... like she might break at any touch. Tanya Sinclair said nothing. She bent down to pack up the used acupuncture set and put it back into the medical box. But when she straightened up, she was visibly trembling, her thin frame about to collapse. Tanya Sinclair closed her eyes. During those two years, she almost tirelessly squeezed out time to brew medicine for Vincent Hawthorne. Even though she had just d blood to Vincent Hawthorne twice at the time, her body was still weak, but when he asked, she couldn’t refuse. He said he and his cousin had a deep bond, like that of siblings. ’Tanya, my cousin was very good to me. That car accident, she ended up with a sickness because she was trying to save me.’ He said, ’Tanya, I feel guilty towards her.’ Tanya Sinclair laughed lightly, the blood flowing to her heart seemed cold. He said he felt guilty, so she helped him repay that debt. Everything was fake!! She could no longer tell how many of the words Vincent Hawthorne spoke back then were true. And she was like a fool, offering her true heart, only to be manipulated by him! The wedding photo on the wall had somehow been hung back up. Through seven years, Tanya Sinclair looked back at herself who was once full of Vincent Hawthorne, only to feel as if it was a ridiculous dream from years past. Tanya Sinclair murmured softly, "A really unmatched pair..." How could someone like Vincent Hawthorne ever match her true heart? Aunt Tawny had already walked over. Hearing Tanya Sinclair’s words, she thought she was recalling the gossips from when she married Mr. Hawthorne. Aunt Tawny hurried to comfort, "You match very well, Madam! Look, you and Mr. Hawthorne standing together are a match made in heaven! Don’t listen to outsiders!" Tanya Sinclair shook her head and smiled bitterly, offering no further explanation. "Aunt Tawny, I’ll go first. Today’s matter, please keep it secret from Vincent Hawthorne for now," she said quietly, "When the time is right, I’ll ask him personally." On the day of their agreed divorce, she would lay out every betrayal of Vincent’s over the years, clearly! Shortly after Tanya Sinclair left, Joy woke up, her mind still not fully awakened, she reached out to touch the person beside her but didn’t feel the expected warmth. Joy opened her eyes in confusion, the person who had kept watch over her all night was already gone. For some reason, Joy felt a hint of emptiness in her heart. She sat up in a daze, rubbing her eyes. ... or is she downstairs? "Joy, you’re awake? How are you feeling?" Caden woke up as well, immediately got off the bed, ran over to his sister without even wearing shoes to check on her. "Brother, I’m fine now. I don’t feel bad," Joy beamed a bright smile, and then her stomach growled. Caden patted her head, "I’ll go find Aunt Tawny to prepare breakfast, you brush your teeth and wash your face then come down." "Okay." Joy nodded obediently. Before leaving, Caden went to the bathroom to squeeze toothpaste for Joy. Once Caden left, Joy slowly got off the bed to brush her teeth, but her little phone rang first. It was the special ringtone set for Cindy Mom. Joy perked up to answer. "Good morning, Cindy Mom." "Darling Joy, I heard you were unwell yesterday, are you feeling better now?" "Yes, I’m fine!" Joy answered sweetly, "Getting a call from Cindy Mom first thing in the morning makes me feel even better!" On the phone, Cindy Lynn’s gentle voice came through, "Last night, I asked Dad to bring an amulet back for you. Has he given it to you? Do you like it?" Joy hadn’t gotten it yet, but she didn’t want to disappoint Cindy Lynn. "As long as it’s from Cindy Mom, I like it!" Cindy Lynn laughed, "When you feel better, I’ll take you shopping." "Sure~" Joy sweetly replied, then said a couple of more things before hanging up. Cindy Mom has always been gentle, never scolding her, never giving her a cold face, nor saying she did wrong, even making her clean up spilled milk herself. In any case, Cindy Mom was far gentler than that bad woman, hundreds of times better! Joy looked at the bedhead, not knowing what she thought of, feeling a little empty inside. Last night, whenever she moved, that bad woman, even with sleepy eyes, would gently pat her back and softly ask if she was uncomfortable. She said, ’Don’t be afraid, I’m here, Mom is here.’ Last night she really didn’t have a nightmare. It seems, that bad woman isn’t so bad after all... Joy slipped on her slippers and went downstairs. She craned her little neck to look around, and in the kitchen, it was only Aunt Tawny busy, there was no sign of that woman. Joy glumly kicked the carpet. Definitely off to work again! It’s good she’s gone, at least no one will be fierce with her now. Joy thought this, but couldn’t quite feel happy. She’s still too young to understand what disappointment means, just felt a heaviness in her chest. Vincent Hawthorne’s voice rang out. Joy turned around to see her dad coming downstairs, showing a sweet smile: "Daddy." She opened her arms to be hugged, and Vincent bent down to pick up his daughter, letting her sit in his arm. Vincent saw that Joy looked much better, and felt relieved. "Is mommy still sleeping?" Joy pouted, "She left." Vincent paused slightly in his step. Aunt Tawny happened to come out of the kitchen, hearing the conversation between father and daughter. "Sir, madam left early today, mentioning she was going to meet an important client." Couldn’t even produce complete experimental data, yet still not giving up on Westgard Pharmaceuticals. Vincent sneered inwardly. He’s just waiting for her to fail today, and come back begging him! "Daddy, Cindy mommy said she had you bring me a gift yesterday!" Joy excitedly went to search Vincent’s pockets. Vincent didn’t stop her, allowing Joy to pull out a pink amulet from his pocket. "Wow, it’s so pretty! It’s Cindy mommy’s amulet." "Mm." Vincent said nonchalantly, "It’s yours now." Aunt Tawny looked at Joy’s treasure-like expression and couldn’t help but frown. Thought it was something rare, it’s just a useless trinket, she could buy a bunch for a hundred bucks online! But... why did Sir go see that vixen again last night? The dissatisfaction in Aunt Tawny’s eyes was almost overflowing. Can’t appreciate his wonderful wife, yet the grass on the other side seems fresh! She remembers when Miss Joy first learned to talk, she clearly used to call Cindy Lynn "Auntie", and somehow, later started calling her "Mommy"! The old lady heard it once, and unusually blew up, ordering Sir to make Miss Joy change her call! ’She is young and doesn’t know better, but don’t you understand? Joy and Caden crawled from whose belly, you, the father don’t know?! Want to let her be the mother of my great-grandchildren, who is that Cindy? Is she even worthy!’ But even with the old lady’s intense anger, Sir didn’t really take it to heart... Aunt Tawny was originally determined to support Mr. and Mrs. Hawthorne, thinking they met young, knew and loved each other, and their journey to today was truly difficult. But now, Aunt Tawny feels it’s somewhat undeserving for Mrs. Hawthorne. After all, Mrs. Hawthorne is really very, very good to Mr. Hawthorne and the whole Hawthorne family... Once she set the breakfast, she hesitated for a moment while Vincent sat alone on the sofa browsing news and politics, then went over. "Sir, there’s something I should remind you of." Vincent casually paused the news, looked at her, "What’s the matter?" "Now madam is awake, she is your rightful wife, who loves you deeply. If madam always hears her own biological daughter calling another woman ’mommy’, wouldn’t she feel awful!" Aunt Tawny earnestly advised, "Sir, you should be a bit better to madam, she’s only got you." Thɪs chapter is updated by novelꜰire.net The Sinclair Family, there’s no one left... Vincent tossed the remote aside, leaned casually back against the cushions. He sat there, eyebrows calmly looked at Aunt Tawny, countered: "How else can I be better to her?" Isn’t she lacking security, thinking he doesn’t cherish her enough? He hung the wedding photos back up, reports when going out, yet what about her? No response or concern whatsoever. Even dares bring up divorce! Thinking of this, Vincent felt a surge of nameless anger. He lightly knocked the wooden armrest of the sofa, reminded expressionlessly: "Aunt Tawny, the one who walked out without a word this morning, wasn’t me. As for Joy, she’s used to it, can’t change suddenly. In the future when she grows older, she will naturally change it. I believe Tanya can understand." Aunt Tawny looked at Vincent’s indifferent demeanor, speechless and choked up. She really couldn’t hold back: "Sir, if madam did this right before you, letting the two kids call another man ’daddy’, and asked you to understand, would you be happy?" Vincent scolded lowly, his face instantly darkening completely.
