In Zhang Xiaoman’s Spirit Detection Technique, he sensed a Corpse Demon crawling towards him.
This Corpse Demon seemed to have been attracted by his presence recently; it was climbing directly along the exterior walls of the building.
"Good, you’ve walked right into my trap, saving me the trouble of looking for you..."
He muttered to himself and then slowly walked towards the shattered glass.
The others nearby were a bit confused about what he was doing at first, but a few seconds later, they all understood.
Under their watchful eyes, a pale monster, identical to the one they had seen earlier, climbed in from outside the building, startling them with its sudden appearance.
Upon its arrival, the monster did not pause and immediately charged towards them.
Zhang Xiaoman also quickened his pace, heading straight for it.
A heavy sound echoed as Zhang Xiaoman’s right fist viciously struck the monster’s belly.
He did not use a sword but instead, as he bent down to dodge the attack of the Corpse Demon, immediately launched a counterattack.
While this move seemed simple, it was the result of learning the Star Guard’s combat style over the past few days.
Previously, Zhang Xiaoman could be said to have never undergone any hand-to-hand combat training. Against an enemy’s attack, his instinct was to block with his arms, only occasionally thinking to dodge.
However, after closely studying the Star Guard’s combat methods, he found that these guys seldom blocked; they mainly dodged and launched powerful counterattacks while dodging.

The effect of Leap of Faith was to nullify fall damage, and its current limit was 30 meters.
The height of the six-story building was around 25 meters, so jumping down from here was of no consequence to him.

Old Hu was sitting in a command vehicle nearby, observing the situation and directing the scene was a man in his thirties, the leader of the Abnormality Department’s action group.

The commander was yelling anxiously at that moment.

Fortunately, the monster was now at the end of its tether; although it caused some disturbance, it had not inflicted much damage.
The warriors, covering each other, quickly found new cover; finishing it off was only a matter of time.
Just then, a dull thud came suddenly; a Corpse Demon fell from the sky, crashing to the ground with a heavy impact.
Right after, another figure dropped from the sky and landed next to the creature.
Unlike the disheveled monster, this person seemed unharmed by the fall from such height, standing firmly on the ground, even cracking the pavement underneath with his weight.
Zhang Xiaoman inwardly heaved a sigh of relief; thankfully the "cliff jumping practice" he did recently was not in vain. He could now basically maintain his center of gravity in mid-air; otherwise, it would have been embarrassing to land face-first.
His appearance was too conspicuous, even the nearby warriors had their attention involuntarily drawn to him.
Inside the command vehicle, Hu Hu, witnessing the scene via drone, stood up in shock, and then ran out amidst the surprised glances of the others.
"Old Hu! Be careful! It’s dangerous out there!" someone shouted.
But Hu Hu couldn’t care less at that moment; he had already rushed out of the vehicle, looking past the nearly incapacitated monster, fixing his gaze on the figure below the Qianhu Fu building.
