The three people in the room felt a surge of horror in their hearts upon hearing Xiao Man’s last sentence. Qin Yan muttered the phrase a couple of times before asking in disbelief, "Master... when you refer to metamorphosis, you don’t mean literally turning into a butterfly, do you?"

In a ward building, a faint sound of footsteps echoed as seven warriors dressed in special combat gear quietly moved along the corridor.
Their palms, holding guns, were sweaty, beads of perspiration occasionally dropped from their foreheads, and the bodies strewn around constantly stimulated their nerves. Despite the group’s trained mental fortitude, they couldn’t help but feel waves of fear.
"Seventh Squad, report your status! Seventh Squad, report your status!"
A deep voice came through the earpiece, that of the overall commander in charge of the operation from outside the hospital.
Among the seven, the leading man pressed the communication device by his ear and whispered, "Headquarters, no suspicious entities found in zone C, many civilians are unconscious on site, no additional discoveries for now."
"Continue to proceed deeper. According to the information provided by the crowd that escaped the hospital, there’s a high probability that the source of the incident is in zone C. Please be extremely cautious!"
"Understood!" the man responded softly, then hesitated for a moment before asking, "Commander, what exactly is our target this time? Is it really a monster, as they say?"
