According to what he knew, Jon was actually favored by a high-ranking official of the Empire Military Department, just like countless students from humble backgrounds, marrying into a family was their only way out.
Unfortunately, Jon’s current Status was not yet worthy of that investment.
Lin Suo took the initiative to lend a hand.

He was preparing tea, while Catherine curiously observed the decor and ornaments in Lin Suo’s home, many of which were items not found in the Ice Plain.
"Your Highness, please."
"Teacher, no need to be so formal, just call me Catherine. In the academy, I am just a student."
"Alright then, Student Catherine, are you experiencing any difficulties in language studies?"
Princess Catherine sipped her tea and said,
"I heard from Professor Goodnight that Teacher Rhein is proficient in Ancestor Giant Language, and I have some things I’d like to ask you to look at."
Ancestor Giant Language?
To be honest, he wasn’t proficient in that at the time of the examination; Professor Goodnight had no reason to introduce Catherine to him; there must be ulterior motives.
But now is different.
Recently, he had acquired the Ancestor Giant Language from Meinehoer, and although it was only a side research interest during his spare time, he was able to understand the relevant literature.
Just not able to integrate it into Magic Spells.
So what’s the purpose then?
If he cannot offer help, would that make Catherine unfriendly towards him?
It didn’t seem like it.
Then what was it, something serious enough to get him kicked out of the academy?
The contents of the literature?
Quickly coming to the most reasonable conclusion, Lin Suo opened his mouth and said,
"I have done only a little research, Student Catherine. If the content of the literature is too sensitive, I wouldn’t recommend you come to me for translation."
Catherine thought for a moment; previously, Professor Goodnight had said that Teacher Rhein was eager to help and proficient in Ancestor Giant Language, so she came without much thought.
Now upon further consideration, it also seemed somewhat inappropriate.
She immediately took out a piece of blank paper and drew several complex symbols on it.
"Teacher, just help me decipher a few complex characters."

Lin Suo rattled on eloquently, like a learned and talkative orator.
Even translating stiff characters could be made coherent and lively, occasionally pulling in an anecdote or legend.
Catherine listened with eyes flashing with wonder.
Teacher Rhein, indeed a talent hard to come by, almost as Professor Goodnight had said, it would be great if she could recruit him to the Extreme Academy.
Perhaps she could try?
With a dry mouth from talking, Lin Suo grabbed his teacup and took a gulp.
Seeing Catherine somewhat distracted, he couldn’t help but frown; it was an occupational hazard of teaching to be a bit annoyed at seeing someone daydreaming.
Catherine also came back to her senses, feeling a bit embarrassed.
Just as he was about to speak.
A white-bearded old man suddenly appeared in the room.
It was the lead Wizard of the Ice Plain.
"Grandpa Kale! How did you come here?"
Catherine exclaimed in surprise.
"Hmph, Your Highness, if I didn’t come, the Ice Plain’s secrets would have been completely revealed by you. Didn’t I tell you to go to the General Association and ask the Vice President for help? What is going on?!"
"If it weren’t for Goodnight blabbering, I wouldn’t even know you came here."
The old man named Kale, with his gaze turned towards Lin Suo, spoke in a chilling tone.
"Kid, come with me to the Committee."
"Grandpa Kale, it’s not what you think. Teacher Rhein was just helping me with a few characters that I’ve been unable to understand."
Catherine hurriedly explained.
"Now, I can figure out the content of the documents by myself."
Kale snorted and glared fiercely.
"I don’t believe you, come with me."
Lin Suo couldn’t help it anymore. After the elder’s outburst, he almost guessed how things had unfolded, a straightforward conspiracy.
Using Catherine’s eagerness and Wizard Kale’s loyalty to the Ice Plain, they aimed to remove him indirectly.
Lin Suo shook his head.
"Not trusting your own Princess, how laughable your Ice Plain is."
"Kid, what did you say!"
Kale’s expression changed, becoming instantly overcast, as nine layers of icy blue Magic Rings expanded from him, exuding an extremely strong Magic Power pressure.
However, Lin Suo did not back down, just a mere Ninth Ring... he immediately retorted.
"I have some unsettled scores with Professor Goodnight, and you... have been used by an old rival without even realizing it. I really doubt if the rumors are false, could you even match Professor Goodnight as a rival?!"
Kale was ready to take action, the intense chill spreading from his feet, beginning to freeze everything around him.
Lin Suo quickly took a decorative gem from the tabletop, a Shadow Stone, and threw it to Kale.
Ever since Isso started shadowing him, trying to catch his "affair" with Iris, he had installed Shadow Stones in his room, to vouch for his innocence at critical moments.
He didn’t expect it to come in handy now.
"Seeing is believing."
"After watching it, I hope you still have the same attitude."
Kale caught the Shadow Stone and activated it without a word; as the image played out to the end.
Kale’s expression was as uncomfortable as if he had eaten excrement.
Thinking back to his previous rash remarks, his old face crumpled.
Lin Suo said with amusement.
"Do you believe in your Princess now?"
Kale turned to look at Catherine only to see that she had already turned her head away, not looking at him at all.
Kale’s face reddened with embarrassment, too ashamed to stay any longer. He took Catherine and fled using Space Witchcraft.
Only then did Lin Suo relax.
The rules within the Golden Academy meant he wouldn’t die, but it would hurt!
A Nine Ring Wizard was already almost able to form a Magic Control Domain, extremely powerful, and he was not yet a match.
Sitting back on the sofa.
Lin Suo felt he could not just passively accept things anymore, he had to think of a way to fight back. At the very least, he had to get his title elevated to make it not so easy for Goodnight to scheme against him.
And this was merely the internal trouble of the Language Department.
There were also quite a few issues to resolve among the students.
Putting his feet on the coffee table, Lin Suo was thinking of picking up a book to read, but as he turned his body, he knocked off a ring.
"Where did this come from?"
The ring was ice-blue with a square black gem set in gold, engraved with silver script.
Lin Suo was astonished for a moment, taking a glance inside.
Great, from now on Kale could be his long-lost relative, so wealthy indeed.
