Winter Swan Chapter 34

He held his gaze on her with no wavering and absolute certainty. He looked at her and only her with his piercing eyes. He meant what he said, and it made her fear him. If he continued like this, Silje was afraid that she might indeed accept him. And that was why she knew she had to be strong. She had to cut him off so they could not go on any longer. However, the scariest thing was that she was curious. The door to the storage was firmly closed and when Silje glared at him, Kail slowly put the door key into his pants pocket. And with his deliberate movement, Silje lost her calm. Her mind became blank. She didn’t want to surrender to Kail. Sure, she was the one who went to his classroom, but she still didn’t want this. Silje didn’t want him to know her weakness and she was afraid that she was close to giving in to him. She feared that she really might give him her heart. “…” Kail had no intention of letting her leave the storage room. If this was the case, then Silje thought that it would be better for her to show him her strength and determination rather than surrendering to him weakly. She knew she couldn’t win, but she had to try. When she decided on her course of action, she looked at him with resolve. Kail asked, “You aren’t saying anything. Did you lose your voice? Say something so I can decide if I should let you go or keep you here.” His voice was sardonic. Silje closed her eyes tight. If this was going to happen, it was going to be on her terms. She had to show him that she would never let him have it his way. She needed to retain as much control of the situation as possible. Silje clenched her teeth and said to Kail clearly, “You must not have understood what I said, or is it that you just don’t want to admit defeat? Are you doing this because you want to deny the fact that I have refused you? I admit that it was my mistake to enter your territory and to have sought you out today, but I have no intention to give you what you want. Ever.” With that, she touched her coat. It had partly slid off from her shoulder by Kail, and she pushed it further defiantly so the coat dropped to the floor. Her eyes remained blank as if to show him that this didn’t mean anything to her. This was her way of rebelling against him. She was telling him that no matter what happened today, she was the one in control and he would never truly have her spirit or soul. In front of him, Silje grabbed her acrylic sweater as well, revealing her pale bare stomach. Her pink acrylic sweater was in stark contrast to his black cashmere coat. Kail didn’t smile at her vulnerable state. He just stared at her with an incredible intensity. “…” An edgy silence fell in the storage. A calm before the storm. Perhaps the reason why Kail didn’t laugh at her or mock her was because of the force and resolve in her eyes. Even in this dangerous and hopeless situation, as the prey to the beast that stood in front of her, Silje remained calm and poised. Kail remained immobile and continued to stare at her. The painful silence stretched, and Silje’s eyes said to him silently, ‘Don’t even think that you can take me. I am the mistress of my own life. You can’t control me. Even if I made the mistake of entering your space, that fact will never change.’ Then, she rebelliously pulled up her pink sweater. As her slim body showed and her eyes burned with defiance, Kail watched intensely and started to smile sensually. Her innocent white bra was finally revealed as it covered her small round breasts. When Kail still remained silent, Silje smiled coldly and said to him, “This is what you wanted, right? My body?” “What if it is?” he asked in a hoarse voice. He seemed to be battling mixed emotions. There was hungry passion for her bare skin, but also uneasiness at her bold attitude. His eyebrows flinched. Yet a faint smile still remained on his lips as if he found this situation amusing. He continued to watch her, daring her to continue if she could. His relaxed arrogance made her feel anxious. He was smiling on the outside, but his eyes showed the beast within him. A dark presence deep inside of him was ready to pounce on her. Silje moved her finger and unhooked her bra. The top of her breasts started to reveal themselves, and suddenly, Kail turned away. He said slowly, “So you won’t give up? You will fight me straight on? Fine, you can try.” Kail was still smiling like a predator that already knew how the hunt was going to end. He looked comfortable, and his hungry smile troubled her. She had to finish what she started. She couldn’t back down now. Silje became tense as she bit her lips. With a challenging look, she let her bra fall, revealing her breasts to Kail. Kail’s face, which was calm until now, changed. His eyes still looked cold, but he intently studied Silje’s face and didn’t miss her subtle tremble. She asked him distantly, “Isn’t this why you brought me here?” And with her question, Kail went after her with vicious desire. No longer was he smiling. Instead, he grabbed her crudely and stole her lips. “…!” It was a wild hungry kiss. Silje felt like she was surrounded by a white snowstorm. She couldn’t think or breathe. When his lips left hers, she was gasping for air. She looked up and found Kail laughing at her. “If you don’t think you can take me on, don’t even try.” “What?” “With your face so rigid and anxious, how do you think I feel? Of course, taking you against your will wouldn’t be hard, but that is not what I want. Forcing a woman against her will… Do you really think I would do something like that? That I need to do something like that?” Kail was livid. He was angry at her for making him into a bigger monster than he really was. The cruel king became colder when he became angry. Like a wild blizzard, he froze everything around him with his fury. He incited fear and terror from everyone around him. This was his biggest weapon. Even now, Silje felt a definite strain as she watched him. She didn’t want to admit it, but she realized that the cruel king must be more powerful than what she or anyone at school had thought. The internal power he possessed within seemed endless and destructive. Kail stared with penetrating intensity. “Once you open yourself to me, you will have no choice but to give yourself to me completely.” A commanding threat. “I will not let you give me only part of you.” And with that, he lowered his face and kissed her again. It was a kiss filled with anger, passion, and doom. Silje couldn’t breathe.
