Silje was shocked by Kail’s sudden kiss. She couldn’t believe what was happening, and she didn’t even have time to react.
His scent was astonishingly attractive. She trembled as his dark hair and hot breath caressed her cheek.
What shocked Silje the most was the feeling of his hot lips. It felt like a hot poker searing her skin.
Silje couldn’t believe this was happening, and of all places, here in school in front of everyone. He was marking her for everyone to see.
‘This guy is crazy! He has lost his mind!’
The kids gasped and whispered amongst themselves. When Silje finally opened her eyes, she saw Kail looking down at her as if nothing happened. Her lips felt swollen and hot. They hurt.
Silje’s heart beat fast and she couldn’t breathe. Her eyes widened as she protested, “What is the meaning of this? Are you crazy?”
But Kail continued to stare down at her quietly with a serious expression. Silje was breathless as she looked up at him with shock and confusion. So many different thoughts crossed her mind.
Why was he doing this? Was this a new game she didn’t know about? Kail just kissed her! Was this his twisted way of tormenting her?
Silje was confused and even wondered if she was dreaming, but the cold cruel king standing in front of her proved that this was no dream.
As she began to calm down, she became angry. She had been enduring terrible bullying her entire life with her head held high, yet this form of attack made her feel ashamed. Silje glared at Kail with resentment. The devil took her first kiss in front of everyone.
Bastard! He was the worst.
“Jerk…!”
Silje slapped his face hard, making his cheek red. The crowd gasped.
“Oh my god.”
However, it looked like Kail had expected her to react this way. He smiled and continued to look down at her.
The kids watched with excitement and fear. She slapped the most feared person in the entire school, but Silje didn’t care. Panting in anger, she raised her hand again.
“Did you just smile at me? Are you serious? How can you smile when you have put me in this embarrassing position?”
She was about to slap him again, but Kail calmly grabbed her hand to stop her.
“Let me go!”
Kail held her hand tightly and whispered, “You shouldn’t arouse me like this in front of everyone, or else I might kiss you again. Harder.”
“What!”
Silje became indignant, but Kail ignored it and continued to whisper seductively, “Let’s talk about this later. I got your kiss as payment, so I will take care of business here.”
A kiss as payment.
With that, Kail turned around and quietly looked at the two boys that Felicien and Gunhild had caught.
He walked toward them and asked the boys on the floor in a low voice, “That girl, is it fun to bully her?”
Kail smiled.
“Is it fun?”
The boys avoided looking at Kail and didn’t answer. Kail raised one boy’s chins with his finger and asked, “Answer me. Cat got your tongue?”
Kail’s eyes looked cold. After a few seconds, Kail suddenly punched the boys’ faces.
Crunch.
The sound of jawbones breaking was unmistakable. The girls screamed loudly.
It was an awful scene. Kail slowly looked around and no one made a sound. Silje couldn’t breathe either.
The cruel king stepped on top of the two crumpled bodies and announced, “Look very closely and remember. If you bully like a kindergartner, this is what will happen to you.”
Was he telling the kids to do a better job of tormenting her? What was the meaning behind this? Was this really his way of helping her? Or was this a new and twisted way of upsetting her?
Silje couldn’t figure out Kail’s motive.
And just as they appeared, Kail and his gang walked away without warning.
Of course, before he left, Kail made sure to clean up his mess. He whispered sweetly to the boys on the floor that if they ratted him out, he would kill them. They nodded with obvious fear and swore silence. Kail looked down at them emotionlessly before leaving.
According to his order, Kail’s group dragged the boys away before the teachers arrived. Soon, there was no trace of what had happened in the classroom.
The room became dead silent and Silje thought carefully.
Kail did this to humiliate her in front of her bullies. She gritted her teeth. He was truly the devil himself.
“Did you see? Kail kissed her.”
“It can’t be. You’re lying, right? How could Kail be interested in a girl like her?”
“Could it be that they are dating?”
The classroom buzzed with excitement and shock. The girls seemed like they didn’t want to believe what had happened. Silje was sitting in her seat, ignoring the fact that she was at the center of everyone’s attention, but after a while, she couldn’t take it anymore. She tried, but the shame was too much. Her hands shook beyond her control.
When the boys looked at her with knowing smirks, Silje made a decision. She stood up and packed her bag. She still had biology class, but she left the room. Her whole body felt like it was burning, and she couldn’t stay there anymore.
Bastard.
Silje chewed her lips as frustration and anger filled her. Her legs shook after remembering her first kiss. No matter how hard she thought, she couldn’t figure out the reason behind his actions in the middle of the classroom.
Was it to embarrass her in front of the kids? If so, why did he hate her so much? Because she was Asian?
This was beyond bullying. He had shamed her as a woman in front of the entire school.
Silje wondered if she should take martial arts classes, but even if she did, there would be no way for her to fight and win against someone like Kail.
Biting her nails, she decided that the first thing she would do was to return home. Silje started to run and tried not to think. This was the worst day of her life — she wanted to go home and just forget about it.
