About an hour later, the members of Vivian’s Team, having left the adventurer’s guild, arrived at a secluded corner of Lamijion, walking down an abandoned road that saw no travelers.
Vivian eyed the twisting, dilapidated path and turned to look back at Tielle.
“Are you sure this is the place?”
She asked Tielle for confirmation.
“If the address up there isn’t wrong.”
Tielle replied indifferently.
“But…but this place doesn’t seem like a place where people could live.”
Lu Muya timidly expressed her view.
“I’ve never heard of such a place here either. If one considered only a hiding spot, though, it would indeed be perfect.”
Merica seemed somewhat nervous too, gripping her magic wand in front of her all the while.

Only Shane remained silent, following behind everyone else, displaying an attitude of complete detachment.
After Tielle had mentioned having a clue about their target, Shane had consistently acted this way.
None of the others seemed to notice anything out of the ordinary, and thus they followed the address provided by Tielle to this place.
But as Lu Muya said, this place hardly looked inhabitable at all —it more closely resembled a wasteland frequented by wild beasts and demons; even a slum would likely be better than this.
Shane found it even more inconceivable, wondering why such a place would exist within a town. Could it be an undeveloped area?
With such questions, under normal circumstances, Shane would probably have already asked the members of Vivian’s Team.
But today, Shane simply wanted to keep quiet, acting like a small, helpless, pitiable child.
In this situation, Vivian made a decision.
“Anyway, let’s go inside and take a look,” Vivian said softly, “Otherwise, without any clues, we’ll have to resort to extreme measures.”
Originally, Vivian had planned to resolve this matter with money.
According to her, she knew several individuals akin to information brokers; as long as the price was right, they would take action, though it would definitely take a fair amount of time.
Now, since Tielle had a clue, that was naturally better.

“Let’s go inside and look then.”
Lu Muya and Merica both complied.
Thus, the group proceeded further in together.
However, to be on the safe side, Vivian, serving as the main tank, went to the front, taking down her heavy tower shield, adopting a defensive stance; Lu Muya stayed by Merica, the mage, serving as her guard, leaving only Shane and Tielle to take up the rear.
This finally gave Shane the chance to get close to Tielle.
“Um…” Shane tenderly said, “Miss Tielle, may I ask you a question?”
Shane was finally ready to voice his query.
However, Tielle remained completely indifferent.
“You want to ask why I have that clue, right?”
Tielle said without turning her head.
“You’re truly perceptive,” Shane humbly said, “If you could enlighten me, I would be eternally grateful.”
“Don’t use that kind of strange terminology; it makes people uncomfortable,” Tielle stated, still indifferent. “I just happened to pick it up.”
“Happened to pick it up?” Shane confirmed cautiously. “Are you sure?”
“Does certainty really matter?” Tielle replied with an unfaltering tone. “Unless I tell you I was there at the time, no matter how I phrase it, you’ll still have your doubts, right?”
“Uh…” Shane had nothing to say, so he changed the subject and asked in a low voice, “Then how did you confirm that the address on that thing was the person the Old Demon Clan Faction is looking for, and also our target?”
This was a very strange matter.
Logically, Tielle shouldn’t know who that showoff was looking for, and only Vivian might have seen the portrait that the showoff was holding. But even she shouldn’t know that the person in the portrait could be found using the clue in Tielle’s hands.
Yet, Vivian unconditionally trusted Tielle and brought everyone here without asking for any reason. How Tielle connected that clue with the person in the portrait was something Shane really couldn’t figure out.
No, there was one possibility he could think of.
It was just that Shane really hoped it wasn’t that possibility.
Unfortunately, this world is full of things that don’t go as one wishes.
“Weren’t they admitting to being a fugitive who had escaped to Lamijion during your standoff?” Tielle spoke shockingly. “If so, it’s very likely that person is the one the Old Demon Clan Faction is looking for.”

“Don’t worry, I haven’t told anyone, not even Lu Muya or Merica, and Vivian definitely hasn’t revealed it,” Tielle said indifferently. “Your identity is too sensitive in today’s era and situation. If it got out, let alone anything else, the Old Demon Clan Faction would definitely target you first and then seize the opportunity to disrupt the rare peace we have. “Is that so?” Shane let out a sigh of relief and also sighed, “I really appreciate your trouble.”
“Don’t worry about it,” Tielle replied nonchalantly. “We’re doing it for ourselves as well.”
As Shane and Tielle were having this covert conversation, the three people ahead suddenly stopped.
“It looks like we’ve indeed found the right place.”
Vivian stared ahead and made her conclusion.
