When The Clock Ticks (series 2) Chapter 70

Tarvan felt broken. He appeared helpless and unable to retort back at Clarion. He sat down on the sofa and glared at his wife. When did they become strangers? How did they get to this point? Why couldn't he see through the line of demarcation when it was just a crack and mend it? Why did it have to be this wide apart between him and his wife? They love each other immensely and he knows he still loves her more than anyone else in his life. What led them to this point? Was it the concubines, she possibly couldn't take it that he's with other women. It makes her feel cheated. Is it because the concubines are pregnant and she doesn't have the chance to become pregnant again? Or because he humiliated her before everyone? He would make it right if she gives him the chance and stops holding onto the word divorce. He cannot sign the papers she wants him to sign. At his age, just getting divorced with the woman he loves, no, never. He would start by lifting the ban of Pamela's return. Married or not, she should return to her family. He isn't going to interfere with all that is going on with her life. He just wants to be happy with Clarion again. He cannot take it if she keeps blaming him for the death of their daughter, Alice. "I'm sorry Clarion for treating Alice the way I did. And if you think I pushed her to the point where mischief befell her, please forgive me. Bring Pamela back home. Married or not, bring my granddaughter back. I want her home, again" Tarvan instructed. "No way!" Clarion bellowed. She glared at Tarvan in fury. He had pushed her too hard against the wall until she no longer cared. "My daughter cannot come to a place where she's not being respected. She can never step her feet again in the place where her mother's murderer lives. Will she come to a place where her grandmother is being molested, trampled upon and abused. My granddaughter will never come back here. I will ensure that she never did. That's because I will go to her and be her mother. I won't let her die off like Alice…" Clarion declared. "What you want is to see me sign the papers and let you go. That's the last thing I will do in this life. I'd rather die than get divorced with you. I won't try to stop you again. I won't restrain you anymore. If you think leaving me will help you ease your painful heart, then go" Tarvan declared. That night, Tarvan couldn't sleep. He stayed awake and sobbed quietly in solitude. Why is Clarion doing and saying every of those words to him? If she leaves him, how will he cope for the rest of his life? The concubines are young women who hadn't known much about him. They have never seen or experienced his pain. If it's because of the way he treated her, he was sorry for that. He was ready to accept Pamela. Because, if anything ever happens to her, Clarion will blame him for it. He feels hurt and lonely without Clarion. He cannot get divorced with her. He cannot live without her. He hates himself for hurting her like this. But at that moment, Clarion had called Alyana and she carried Queen Clarion's suitcase and handbag, as the latter stepped out of her chambers for the first time in many months… Tarvan saw Clarion driven out of the Royal house that night. He stood by his windows and saw his wife left without making an attempt to stop her. She needs some time away from him. She needs a breath of fresh air and she needs to see her daughter, Pamela again. The next morning, the news of Queen Clarion's leaving the palace was known to everyone. They also noticed that Alyana is gone as well. There was a kind of quietness that descended the palace. Everyone talked in whispers. Laughter and excitement was not heard and from morning until evening, King Tarvan didn't step out of his chambers. In Turkey, Louis decided that he would return to Oak city with his wife. Her belly was big now and she would be having the baby in a couple of weeks. "We will be returning to Oak city tomorrow," Louis declared after breakfast. He was better now, than he was when he left Oak city. He'd been able to get over his crazy behaviour. He had trained, did a lot of work out and he's back to the man he used to be. Everything is fine. He had a new look now. His hair is now long and he usually ties it at the back. His beards were trimmed but looked good. Whenever he looks at himself in the mirror, he is happy with the man he is now. He hopes when he gets back, he will be able to be the man he used to be. But more importantly, he wants to have his memory back. He now experiences vague memories but cannot understand anything about it. But in Oak City, he would be able to recall them hopefully. He glanced at his wife and saw the look of puzzle on her face. "Isn't it too sudden?" Miranda Alvan asked with a frown. She had thought they would remain there and have their baby. They are fine and doing just well in Turkey. As a matter of fact, she wants to advise him to move the headquarters of the Hayden's cooperation to Turkey and they would live the rest of their lives together, away from those who are antagonising their relationship. "Wasn't it sudden when I told you about our trip here?" Louis asked, glaring at her calmly. It's enough. They need to return home. His parents are not happy with his union, for getting married suddenly and without their consent. He can't remain in Turkey and have the baby as well. "Yeah. But I don't see any reason why we should. Let's settle here and have our baby" Miranda objected to this opinion. "I came here for vacation. I've long overstayed from my family and business. Now, we are going back. Pack the things that you need and tomorrow morning, we move" Louis declared in a tone of finality.
