"Are you feeling upset that I said that? I worked hard, but you couldn't conceive. It wasn't my fault that we couldn't have more children, it was yours. You are suddenly infertile.
Now you tell me that my granddaughter should be an heir simply because she is Pamela. If she was the daughter of my son, I would Consider it. But she was born by a daughter.

Clarion just glared at her husband. She couldn't believe a time would come when Tarvan would say such words to her. But the day finally came.
"You said I am Barren?" Clarion asked, the word 'barren' kept resounding in her head as if she's never heard it being used for a woman.
"Yes. You are barren because you are unable to give me an heir" Tarvan repeated. He knew the word 'barren' was hurting Clarion more than his refusal to accept Pamela back.
Clarion's eyes went red. She wanted to sob but she tried to hold back her tears. She sighed and nodded gently. She glared at Tarvan and "I will never forget your words today, never!" She turned around, walking out of his presence.
As Clarion went back to her quarters, she shut the door as the tears ran down her cheeks. Her emotions were let loose, the tears she was trying to hold back cascaded down her cheeks.
That's it. A barren woman. That's what he called her, a barren woman. Clarion shivered, Goosebumps all over her body. She sobbed, sniffled and felt her heart beat faster.
What was she thinking, that Tarvan would remain by her side forever? She didn't know he was waiting, envisaging when he would become the King and have more women.
He had prepared for this, that he would be able to have a male child from them and they would be his heir. No wonder he sent Alice away, a total banishment because she was pregnant out of wedlock and to a mere employee of the royal family.
Despite Alice's plea, Tarvan wouldn't listen to his own daughter. He sent her away. It was only a mother's passion that led her to hire private detectives to find out about her daughter.
Only then did they know she was dead but left a daughter behind. Now, Tarvan did it again. He sent Pamela away from the royal family simply because he doesn't want her to become his heir.

That morning in Oak City, Miranda Alvan came to find Romeo in the office. She couldn't believe her eyes when she stepped out of the bathroom and Romeo had left.
She called his name several times and assumed he went to get a few things he needed, possibly protection. She waited but he didn't return.
She dialed his cellphone number and he didn't answer his phone. That was when it dawned on her that he had played a trick on her.
She quickly got dressed and left the hotel by midnight. She doesn't understand what kind of game Romeo was playing on her, but she needed to give him a stark warning.
She dashed into Romeo's office unannounced and found him head bent on the computer. He seemed to be busy, not paying attention to the person that walked in.
Miranda glared at him with a sneer. She eyed him. Such stupid man that she was willing to offer a favour on the platter of gold. He despised her generosity.
"Romeo" Miranda called, expecting him to look up at her but he ignored her. She called him the second time, he still didn't answer until he was done with what he was doing.
"What do I owe for this visit?" Romeo asked casually. He glared at Miranda Alvan from her head to toes. She probably has forced president Hayden into doing it with her again.
"What was the meaning of that joke you played on me yesterday?" Miranda Alvan asked, she was glaring at Romeo with fury.
Romeo stood up and went closer to her. He towered over her and chuckled aloud. "What does it seem to you, bitch?" he retorted.
"I mean, you can't just walk away and despise my free offer. Why did you leave midway through our deal?" Miranda demanded.
Romeo had never heard such shameless utterance from a woman before. Her free offer? The offer that would lead to his ruin and murder his dignity and reduce him to a robotic machine before Miranda?
He loves himself too much to indulge in such free offers. Besides, how can he return home and tell his wife that he loves her without his conscience shutting him up after having an affair with another woman?

Romeo raised her chin up and glared into her eyes "I don't do that. I don't share my body between my wife and whores like you. You are stinking and disgusting.
