Pamela woke up with a start. She doesn't know why she suddenly jolted out of sleep and got out of bed with her heart beating hard.
The sudden awakening and getting out of bed immediately made her head pained. She sank into the sofa and was sweating. What is wrong? Why is she feeling this way?
She tried to calm her tumultuous heart that was beating unusually, but couldn't. She went to the bathroom and took a quick shower.
When she stepped out, there was no sign of Louis anywhere. She got dressed and looked at the clock, it's past noon already.
It means she had slept for over three hours already. She deserved it. Louis had drained her of every single strength left in her. She wondered how he was able to do that despite the hard work of the previous evening.
She got downstairs and saw the house was empty. The noise of the kids was not heard and she went to their rooms. It's empty.
Oh! Louis, he took the kids out without waking her up. He probably would tell them he had made her relax and she was taking a nap. Her friend and lover. She smiled as she dialled his cell phone number.
It rang twice and he didn't answer it. Anyways, she could just take those secret files and documents to her Mansion. Those files were top secrets of Louis Hayden and his kids and herself in extension.
She went to his study and took the files, placed them into one of his briefcases and went out, slipping into one of Louis' cars and drove to her Mansion.
She hadn't been there in days. She went to Louis' place after her father's death. She went into her study and placed the documents in a special safe and locked it with her fingerprints.
She called her servants and asked them how they were feeling in her absence. Getting herself familiarized with them, she dismissed them and called the company.
How is everything going with the business and its activities? It's the weekend but her assistant was giving her updates of all that was going on.
She was worried now. Louis ought to have called her back. Louis is not someone who doesn't check his phone every five minutes. In fact, he doesn't miss calls except the ones he is not interested in answering.
He can't possibly see her calls and not return them. She called him back and this time, it was switched off. Something isn't right.
"... what have I done to my own son?" Leah was fidgeting and sobbing. Louis collapsed after she slapped him across the face and the result of it is ending up in the hospital.
She watched her son lying on the hospital bed unconscious. He was placed on drip and only wished that the past shouldn't repeat itself.
Romeo came around immediately. Leah Hayden had called him. When Leah saw him she said "Louis collapsed. We were having a heated argument and I slapped him. Next he collapsed"
"He will be alright. President Hayden is not such a weakling that a single slap will send him unconscious. There might be some underlying cause, ma'am" Romeo assured her.
Louis, who could fight with three men at a time and leave them wounded, cannot be the one that a single slap will send him into unconsciousness.
The doctor walked in holding an X-ray report. He glanced at Louis and said "President Hayden is having Neurological problems. It is as a result of an injury caused to the brain…. But he will be alright" he explained.
"What exactly is wrong with President Hayden?" Romeo asked. He doesn't know what to deduce from the medical terms he explained. He wants to know what is wrong with him exactly.
"He's having a concussion. He would come out of it between one to two weeks. But we should hope for the best that it shouldn't come with severe complications" The doctor explained.
"So you are saying Louis will remain unconscious for two weeks?" Leah was alarmed. Two whole weeks? Louis shouldn't respond to anything in this life?
"I didn't say ma'am. I only said that's the range of time for him to recover. But he might come out of it earlier than we thought" the doctor rebuffed.
Leah started sobbing. She glared at Louis and went to hold his hand. "I'm sorry baby. I didn't mean to hurt you" she apologized.
Ellis had travelled. She couldn't reach him. Louis is in a coma, he cannot respond to her. What is she going to do now?
Soon Romeo's phone chirped. He checked the caller ID and wanted to answer it when Leah asked "Is that Pamela Grayson calling?"
"Yes ma'am" Romeo nodded.
"Don't answer her call. What the hell does she want with me and my family? She had tried reaching Louis several times and I had to switch off his phone. Why is she calling you now?" Leah quarreled.
Romeo was taken aback.
His boss had eventually gotten acquainted with his ex wife and they are happy together. Why is the boss' mother filled with fury and saying such words?
"She might be trying to know about president Hayden's whereabouts" Romeo gestured. She's his fiancé after all and the mother of his kids.
"She had pushed Louis to this point. Now she wants to come over and kill him now? She's the reason why I hit Louis so hard and this happened. If I see that woman here, I will shoot her" Leah threatened.
Romeo was speechless.
Pamela ended up waiting for an entire day without hearing from Louis and her kids. What about the dinner together, what about it? Didn't he promise to take her and the kids for dinner?
Since no one was answering her calls, she decided to go to the Hayden's Mansion. When she got there, the security wouldn't let her in. They said the madam of the house had forbidden her from stepping in.
But if it's because of her kids, she has nothing to worry about. They are in the Mansion and they are safe.
Pamela knew something had gone wrong. Did Louis have a complication? He was to go and see his doctor that day.
Is he alright?
