Pamela didn't know she was already shedding tears. She didn't know she was drenched in her own sweat and beads of it rose on her temple.
The door opened suddenly and she came face to face with her grandfather. The two of them stared at each other and for a few seconds, none said a word to the other.
"Were you eavesdropping on our conversation?"Tarvan asked, frowning in disapproval. This is not right. How can she be picking up on their conversation, especially this argument and misunderstanding.
"I didn't mean to, grandpa. I was coming to find out why I was hearing grandma's voice. I'm sorry" Pamela explained hurriedly.
Tarvan nodded passively. He didn't say anything else but called a servant and told her to bring his suitcase downstairs.
Pamela went after him. She knew her grandfather was trying hard to hold back his fury and keep his temper in check. His facial expression was hard like a stone and his eyes had gone reddened.
"Grandfather, where are you going?" Pamela asked, going over and intertwining her arm with his at the elbow. Why is her grandma blaming the king for the death of her mother?
"I'll put up in the hotel until the divorce is over, before returning to my kingdom" King Tarvan replied, still walking towards the door.
"Don't go grandfather. Please don't go. You and grandma can talk things between yourselves. Don't go please" Pamela pleaded, placing her head on her grandfather's shoulder.
Tarvan paused. She wants him to stay despite hearing what her grandmother said? Clarion practically accused him of killing her mom.
"I have to go. Your grandma and I aren't getting any younger. We should do whatever we can for each other that would help retain our sanity" Tarvan said, turning himself and holding Pamela's hands.
Meanwhile he continued "I didn't kill your mother, Pamela. But your grandma…" Tarvan paused, he felt his voice choking and his words breaking.
He might end up dropping a tear. But it doesn't matter. He would do it if it would make Pamela believe that he wasn't happy that Alice died.
"She thinks I killed Alice by sending her away. She never stopped blaming me for her death. It hurts me because she was my daughter too and I loved her.
But if I knew Alice won't make it at childbirth, I would never have allowed her to keep the baby, which is you. I'm sorry Pamela, I would have told her to get an abortion.
Clarion accused me over and over, poke me in the deepest part of my heart each time she called me Alice's murderer. It's enough, we are getting separated, I don't want to see her again" Tarvan declared.
Pamela started sobbing. She tried to persuade her grandfather not to go but he insisted, he's a King and would not let his wife make him lose his mind.
"Can't you do this for me, grandfather?" Pamela inquired. If grandfather goes away, how can she plead with him not to get divorced with grandma?
Although she would have to talk with her grandmother as well. She should let the past go and be forgotten. Why wouldn't she let her Mom rest in peace?
"There's only one person that can persuade me from doing what I intend to do, and that person is my daughter. Only Alice has that privilege.
But she's not here, she's an immortal and that means, no one can stop me" Tarvan declared and kissed Pamela's temple before walking out of the door.
Late at night, Susana's phone chirped. She least expected that someone would call at such an hour and the unique thing about it is that only one person has that contact - her daughter.
"Pamela?" Susana raised herself and glanced at the screen of the phone, as expected, it's her daughter Pamela.
She immediately answered the phone. But the sobbing of Pamela came through first. Her slumber disappeared and her eyes became wide open.
"Pamela, what happened? Why are you sobbing at such an hour? Are you alright? Are you hurt?" Susana asked several questions in a stretch.
Susana's sixth senses became alert. What might be wrong with her daughter? The mother in her went emotional. Her daughter, ahh her daughter. Is she alright?
"I will kill myself Susana. I want to commit suicide and if ever you heard about it, blame my grandparents, they are responsible for it!" Pamela blurted.
"What?" Susana exclaimed, jumping out of bed in a thin linen nightwear. It was as if her soul flew out of her body and she was hanging in the air.
She didn't know when but saw herself running towards the door and out of the hermit. It was only with the help of the bodyguard that she was overpowered and brought back into her room.
Sister Margaret was dazed. A senior Nun could disrespect herself to this extent? What on earth is wrong with mother Susana?
Was it her daughter? Did Pamela call her? What happened? Looks like the Bishop will visit soon and place her on a discipline.
She has violated the rules. Her purity and divinity has been tampered with. She might need to face some disciplinary charges as desired by the committee.
At this time, Pamela had hung up. She has no idea what her call had caused and created in sister Susan's heart. The latter was taken into her inner chambers.

Susana stilled her heart. It doesn't seem as if Margaret would be able to help her at this time. Something needs to be done already. Her daughter needs help and it's urgent.
She decided to call Pamela back. Twice it rang and she didn't answer her phone. Susana was already shivering, covered in goosebumps.
She stood up, dressed casually and took her car key. Margaret didn't need to be told, she changed into another dress and went with Sister Susana out of the hermit.
Because of her state of mind, Margaret took the keys from her and slid behind the steering. They drove in the dead of the night, going towards Pamela's Mansion.
Then the phone rang again and Susana quickly answered "Susana" Pamela said but Susana quickly said "Where are you? Don't you dare do anything to yourself. I'm coming over to get you, " she declared.
"No, I won't be here anymore when you arrive. My grandparents are getting a divorce. Grandma is blaming grandfather for my mom's death and demanding a divorce from him.
At this point, grandpa said he doesn't want to see her anymore. He's divorcing her and no one can stop him except my mom.
And since she's dead, I need to go to her and it's only by killing myself. I need to tell her that her parents are splitting up and only she can salvage it. You can't stop me now Susana…" Pamela was saying when Susana yelled back at her to stop.
"I am still alive, Pamela. Don't hurt yourself. I'll talk to my father and reveal myself as his dear Alice. I am Alice and I'm here, don't hurt yourself…" Susana was saying when Margaret suddenly came to an abrupt stop and snatched the phone from her.
