At the hermit, Sister Susana cleaned her tears. Peeping into the world and getting entangled with the people she had left behind was taking a hold on her consecration.
Now, her heart yarn for her mother. She wants to hold her in her arms and call her mother. She missed her very much. And her daughter, that is entirely something different.
She thought when she met her, held her hands and looked into her eyes, her yawning would be over. But alas, the more she gets closer, the more her desire to tell her that she loves her.
"What you did back there, almost sold you out. Are you going to tell Pamela already, that you are Alice?
Are you going to tell her that the mother she'd been mourning all her life for, was actually you? Do you think she would immediately jump on you and hug you for leaving her since birth?" Margaret reprimanded.
Susana sighed. Margaret is right. She salvaged the whole situation.
She almost crossed the Rubicon. If Margaret hadn't stepped in, perhaps she would have said things that would make Pamela start having a mixed feeling of who she truly was.
Two days later, Just before Midday, King Tarvan Johnson arrived. He came unannounced. Without informing anyone he was coming.
Pamela and her grandma were not home. They had gone to a grocery store to get a few things. They left little Ethan at home.
Meanwhile, Lucas stopped by and took the Quadruplets out for lunch. Pamela doesn't need to know they were going to meet their father.
King Tarvan had his luggage taken to the bedroom where Clarion occupies. He took his great grandson Ethan and stroked him affectionately.
He asked Alyana where his wife had been and she said she went shopping with Princess Pamela. He nodded and waved a hand for her to leave.
He smiled at little Ethan. The little prince was chubbier, cuter than the little princess Peculiar. He planted a featherlight kiss on his temple.
Ethan gripped his middle finger and held it tight. He would smile and blabbed, shaking himself playfully as his gaze fixed on his great grandfather.
He seemed to like him a lot. Alyana stood by the sidelines and watched. His highness looked younger and smarter than he was before she left Middletown City.
Meanwhile, Lucas brought the Quadruplets to the West side hotel to meet their father. Louis was waiting, eager to meet his kids again.
When he saw Lucas walking in with the kids, he sprang up on his feet, his face beamed with a megawatt smile.
But to his utmost surprise, the kids wouldn't even smile back at him. They glanced at each other and folded their hands across their chest.
"Damian" Louis called, walking closer and going down on one knee. He is the most intelligent of them all and behaves more maturely.
But Damian wouldn't answer his dad. Lucas stepped aside and let the kids have an interaction with their dad. He wished he had cute sons like these and amazing beauty for a daughter.
Seeing Damian was not answering, he turned and glared at his daughter. Dora's eyes were welled up with tears. Why are female species like these?
Must their emotions get expressed with tears, both young and old? Little Dora was also expressing her grievance through tears.
Louis remembered that day when he went to his parent's Mansion and Dora came running towards him. He also remembers the cold shoulder he gave her.
"My baby, Dora. I'm sorry. I'm sorry honey" Louis apologised and stretched out his arms. He made a silent prayer in his heart that she come running towards him.
"Daddy" Dora chimed and ran towards her dad. She threw herself into his arms and Louis held her tight.
Because he bent on a kneel, Dora stretched her little body to reach his shoulders. Louis raised her to reach his shoulders and kiss the nook of her neck.
"Come to daddy, boys. Damian came over. Daniel and David, I love you all. Come to me"
The boys came over and hugged their father. They still didn't say anything but let their father hold them one after the other and kiss their temples.
"That woman you took pictures with is the one you love, not my mummy, right?" Damian blurted. He seemed to be aggrieved. He remembered that day his mom passed out because of the news of his dad married to that woman in a white dress.
Louis' eyes went moist. He swallowed hard and brought the kids to sit down. Lucas stared on, wondering what Louis' excuse would be.
"That's not true, Damian. I've only loved your mother and no one else. I don't love her, it's you and your siblings that mattered to me the most and of course, that includes your mom and little Ethan" Louis responded.
"But you married her and my mommy almost died," Damian rebuffed.
