Romeo went after his boss and Lucas sighed. He was unhappy with his friend. When did she become like this?
"You left Louis for this pumpkin. I hope you won't live the rest of your life in regret" Lucas declared, intertwining his fingers with Alice and walking out on her.
Pamela's eyes went teary and within seconds, the tears were running down her cheeks. She had pushed him away. And now, their paths have gone parallel to each other.
Fred saw her in tears and said "I'll see you off" and held her hand. Pamela willingly allowed him to hold her hand and took her to the parking lot.
But Louis hadn't gone. He was standing by his car, his hands crossed around his chest. It seemed like he sobbed. His eyes had gone reddened and he saw the two lovers walk out, hand in hand.
He didn't say anything. As much as he wants to keep Pamela to himself alone, possessing her, he couldn't do anything at that moment.
The only woman he'd truly loved had left him. He hadn't really fallen in love with any other woman before Pamela. And he still loves her very much.
Pamela saw him and she shivered. Since she wasn't willing to burst her bubbles, she didn't pull her hand away from Fred's grip.
The latter helped her to her car and said "Can you drive home, alone?" He wouldn't mind dropping her off with his car and having one of his men drive Pamela's car along.
"Yes, sure," Pamela replied. She sighed softly before saying "I'm sorry I dragged you into my revenge against Louis. Everything I said back then, I'm sorry"
"It's alright. Glad I could help, '' Fred Meyer replied. He wished she didn't apologise. That everything should be fine and be just as she had said it.
Pamela drove off. It took Louis a while before he left. He sobbed. He tried to make her forgive him. He was willing to do whatever she wanted.
Ready to bear whatever punishment she would mete out to him. But this punishment that she decided on, was not something he had envisaged. This is too much for him to bear.
He lost his love. He can't be with the mother of his kids. He missed her. He would not be able to overcome the reality that Pamela is with someone else.
When Pamela arrived home, Clarion was worried. Ethan had been wailing, he wanted to be breastfed. Pamela went straight to him, carried him off her Grandma's hands and breastfed him.
"I met with a friend, grandma," Pamela flippantly declared. She knew her grandma would be interested in knowing and talking about it where she was coming from.
Pamela's mood was a little out of place that evening. Soon, her cell phone chirped. She answered it and placed it on speaker.
"Are you home now?" Susana asked. She witnessed all that ensued between Pamela and Louis. She felt a little uncomfortable about it.
"Yeah, Susana," Pamela replied.
Clarion's eyes darkened when she heard the tone of the fellow on the other side of the phone. It was so similar to Alice's voice.
"I witnessed what ensued between you and Louis. You and I need to hang out one of these days. You shouldn't treat Louis that way.." Susana was saying when Clarion said "This voice is like Alice's"
Many years have passed. But she cannot mistake her daughter's voice nor can she forget it. The pronunciation of some words, still the same.
When Susana heard her mother's voice on the other side of the phone, she paused. Her heart yearned to hold her mom and to hug her, for causing her to mourn the death of Alice that never was.
"Is that your grandma, Clarion?" Susana asked, her voice choked. Her mother would definitely recognise her voice.
No matter how long a child has stayed away from her mother, the mother-daughter bond is unbreakable. After several years, her mother could still recognise her voice.
"Yes, Susana," Pamela responded. She glanced at her grandma and saw tears in her eyes. Before Susana could say something else, Pamela declared "I'll call you back" and hung up.
"Grandma. Don't sob please. Every voice resembles my mom, every face reminds you of her and your motherhood is yawning to see and have your daughter again.
But when you keep sobbing, you break me. You make me miss my mom the most. Please grandma, don't sob anymore" Pamela coaxed.
"Pamela, what if your mother never died? What if Alice avoided us? What if she had chosen a new life and goes about with a different identity?" Clarion demanded, sinking into the sofa next to Pamela.
Pamela squinted. She glared at her grandma. How is that even possible? How can a mother forget her newborn and take on a new identity? No, that's not possible.
"That can never be possible. You still haven't forgotten about my mom's death and hence, you are speculating. Stop allowing nonsense thoughts cross your mind, grandma" Pamela cautioned.

"I can't imagine that things would take a different twist again. What is wrong with Pamela? Did she for once think about the kids, especially little Ethan?" Alice complained.
They got into the Mansion and she changed from her shoes into slippers. Lucas didn't say a word, because he didn't know what to say.
What kind of a woman is Pamela? She lied. He knew she lied the moment she said such words. No woman would have sex with a man and openly confess it before others and before her ex.
She said those words to hurt Louis. He could see through Fred Meyer's eyes that he was caught unawares by Pamela's outburst. He wasn't expecting her to use him as a shield.
Pamela is decent. She can't open herself to another man besides Louis. They were together for a few years and they didn't get intimate.
He is sure, as sure as his name that Louis Hayden was the man she lost her first time to. The love and bond between them both is such that no one can explain.
"Aren't you going to say something about your bestie's attitude?" Alice tucked at him. This was the third time she was asking the same question and Lucas didn't utter a word of response.
"Yes, because I don't know what to say" Lucas responded bluntly.
