Christy's pov
"Good morning mum" I greeted giving her a peck on her cheeks
"Ehnn nwam is it now you're seeing me ?"she replied. I rubbed my forehead pouting
Nigerian mothers though???
"Mum you know what?"I asked taking my breakfast of white rice and stew I.e tomato sauce as I sat next to her while she typed swiftly on her pad
"What???" She asked not looking up at me.
"I feel weird"I blurted out immediately counting my mistake as she gave a look of did-you-just-realize-this-now?
"You have always been weird. "She finally got it said "you and your sister have been the most weirdest humans I've ever come across....like how do you two do it? "She asked mockingly as I clicked my tongue slowly
If she noticed it she'd make me write my will
"Ah ah mummy! "I whined "you didn't even ask me what the problem is sef" I said pouting.
She dropped her pad then folding her arms around her bosom.
" okay I'm sorry...so spill" she said making me stretch out my arms while chewing my rice gingerly.
"So....I feel kinda nostalgic about my new school you know"I began carefully so as not to make her say something sacarstic cause i could'nt bear it and this time i think I pushed the right buttons cause she leaned in further urging me to go on with her eyes fixed on me with a concerned look
"leaving my former school and all my friends and starting off with a new set of individuals who I probably haven't set my eyes on...like I'm being excited about meeting new people and making new friends and sad that I'd miss my oldies in my former school"I concluded. Mum had smiled a while at a point and then frowned at some other point
Sometimes she was just difficult to understand or maybe the nostalgic spirit had an effect on her too?
I had to attend Melviks High cause we moved into port-Harcourt recently due to dad's transfer from work...it was always tiresome relocating from one state to another...like counting down we had gone from kwara- Abuja- lagos-Ibadan-delta- owerri and finally to port-Harcourt...just because of the nature of dad's 'work' every time we struggle to adjust and boom dad got his transfer letter....we just were so fed up with the whole relocation aches
Don't ask me how mum coped.*shrugs* she is a business woman and like dad she's always used to traveling in and out of the states but I think traveling and living is two different things right? So I really couldn't tell how she coped.
"Listen christy! "Mum called gently"you will just be all fine okay... it just takes a little bit of patience to adjust okay.." while rubbing my back calmly
"Besides I know this whole relocation aches isn't your thing...so you will just learn to cope until you're done with high school "she said giving me a soothing smile. As I nodded slowly I just hoped

Susan had burst into the kitchen picking up her plate and helping herself to some white rice, tomato sauce, fried plantain and eggs while taking a glass of juice from the fridge. I stared at her in amazement...no matter how she ate she'd never put on weight.
She was chubby, brown-skinned, not to tall for an ss1 student. An hourglass goddess and then a beauty to behold. Her school uniform fitted her so perfectly and she had packed her hair into two while bringing out two slim strands at the side and gelling her edges too I know right! She looked really cute.
"Who's talking about nostalgias here"she asked setting down to eat
"Geez your amibo has passed boundary" I muttered
"I heard that" suzy retorted
"So what? "
"So.....mtcheew!!!!"she hissed as I glared at her
"How come you eat a lot? "I asked eyeing her
"So I won't die being skinny"she retorted making me hiss
"If you continue like this you'll end up bursting one day and becoming all of a sudden an extinct specie"I retorted
"Is this the best way to come up explaining that you're hungry" she replied drily as I hissed
"I've eaten duh! I'm just really...."
"Christy is it your eating free me joor?"she had cut me off
"Who is holding you sef....continue the good work" I said sneering as mum came in
"Christy allow your sister to eat na haba! " mum said as suzy clapped her hands happily.at least someone was rooting up for her
Did it last?
"Thanks mum.please tell Christy again"
"See her mouth please tell Christy again" I mimicked mockingly
"Christy, suzy needs to eat enough so she can concentrate on her books at school"
"Thanks mum" she said giving her thumbs up
"Or do you want someone to possess her again with food? "Mum asked oblivious to the expression of suzy who simply rolled her eyes as I laughed mockingly at her
"Mum!!!" Suzy yelled " I wasn't possessed before and would never be"
"Ah ah Oti man leju ju haba I'm just saying" mum said grinning widely having understood the game while suzy had sulked herself....clicking her tongue all the way an art which she learnt from God knows where

But Sometimes she could be childish...but still my kid sister

While I sat in mum's land cruiser thinking about the day I'd get to cruise it all by myself I felt maybe I should go on line so taking pictures of myself esp.selfies and posting them online.it really worked cause it kept me kinda busy replying messages from instagram, my wattsap status and all while mum got into the car suzy had glared at me...I could tell she was swearing at me inside her head which made me chuckle some more.
Her phone had beeped.....she opened it briefly and then turned it off glaring at me. I could tell she had seen my status but we still had 'beef' with each other so she didn't bother replying as she stepped into the car while John opened the gate...I tried giraffing when I caught her staring at her phone. For some reason which was odd she avoided seeing my status yet she had gone on instagram to like my photos and videos. While occasionally rolling her eyes as she watched every thing.
I suppressed the urge to laugh cause it'd only make matters worse.....she was my junior sister with an attitude that I couldn't help finding funny.......
