"What are you talking about mom? I would never stop loving you," I kiss her forehead, "I have to go, okay? If you're unwell, don't forget to call me." Pulling her so that she isn't alone with Kahin, we reach my room, "mom, I'll be fine, Kahin won't overdo it, I'll be here Monday," my mother nods.
"Okay daughter, be careful."
With an aching heart for leaving my mother in that state, I go with Kahin, when I reach his side, he tries to hold my hand, I don't allow it, I don't want him to touch me.
"Hi Malcolm," I greet the giant.
"Hello dwarf, come on, come with me." Without waiting another second, I get into the passenger seat, "you're good?" I look at him.
"As good as I can be, your boss is an idiot, I was fine without him." Malcolm laughs softly.
"You know you weren't fine without him, listen to him dwarf, you must."
I look at him, "why are you telling me that? He had a whole week to think about what to say to me when he decided to come back, I'm not going to believe anything he says, and that's assuming I let him talk without breaking his damn head," hr chuckles like crazy.
"If you're okay," he looks at me, "the son of a bitch doesn't deserve you, but you certainly are for each other."
I look at the road, Malcolm is just defending his friend.
"Malcolm faster, I want to get there," Kahin growls at him, huffing loudly when he see me turning the radio on full blast so I don't hear his growls or protests.
Arrived at the mansion, without waiting for anything, I go to my room to lock myself in, I don't want to talk to him, I don't feel like it, he still treats me like he did when we started with the contract.
"Dulce open up please, we have to talk baby," Ihear him knock on the door.
"No, Kahin, you still treat me as if I were something you own, it's not fair. Isn't what happened to me enough? Isn't it enough for you to have left me?" I shout, pacing around the room.
"Damn Marilí, I said about the contract so that your witch of a mother would allow me to bring you here and talk about it."
Furious, I open the door and having him in front, I meet his face with a punch that hurt me more, grabbing my sore hand, I look at him with fury in my eyes, "don't insult my mother, she doesn't deserve it, you left me when you promised you would never do it," I say disappointed.
"I was taking care of some things," impressive as it may be, he speaks in a low voice, "I had to take care of something, if it hadn't been important I wouldn't have left, understand me," the regret in his eyes makes me falter.
"Where were you? Why did you leave me? What was that so important?" I look away.
"There were some issues that I had to solve, I was abroad, I'm sorry I didn't answer you, I left my cell phone here at home, I couldn't have it with me."
"Your answer doesn't convince me. Weren't you the one who sent me that message asking for forgiveness?" He shakes his head, he's being very passive and he's not like that, "Kahin, what have you done?" My breathing quickens, "where were you?" I ask nervously.
"I told you, I was taking care of something," he looks at me.
"Of what?" I ask, "tell me, I demand of you."
"Marilí, please let it be, Dulce, let it be."
Offended by his stubbornness I fall into despair, "no, I'm not going to let it be, you told me I was the most important thing for you, you told me that you would not go and you did, you do not love me Kahin, you do not, because if so, you would tell me where you were, you are a liar, I shouldn't have trusted you."
"I was taking care of the damned ones who hurt you," he yells at being pressured, his scream puzzling me, but what he says shocks me, "I was making those bastards pay for what they did to you," he yells with hatred, "that's what I did and that's why I left you."
Covering my mouth with my hand, I look at him with fear that he has done something that could ruin his life, "what have you done to them?" No, I don't care who they were, now I only care how serious it was to pray that nothing happens to him.
"I did nothing," he looks at me, "but my men solved everything." That answer covers many things.
"Kahin ..." I whispered, "honey, what have you done? They can report you," I see him smile like a ruthless man.
"They won't, because if they did, you too would report them and believe me they won't want to do any of that."
Running my hands through my hair, I look at him in disbelief, my heart is going to stop at any moment, "I want to know exactly what you have done," I ask, "I want to know everything, damn it."
"It's not good for you to know," I frown and he snorts, "I hurt them a lot, they suffered twice as much as you suffered." Hearing that brings thousands of things to my mind.
"I wanted them to pay but not like that Kahin, that makes you one of them, I didn't want you to be hurt because of me, I didn't want you to hurt anyone," trembling, I turn away from him, "who ... who were they?" I sense him look at me but doesn't speak, "tell me!" I yell at him hysterically.
"Your ex and his four friends," he says without much desire.
My heart stops, hearing that there were five who abused me and one of those was the same boy who claimed to love me, "it can't be ..." I whisper a little dizzy, Kahin holding me up before I hit the ground.
"This is why I didn't want to tell you anything, that's why I decided to leave without telling you where I was going. You're too good," he hugs me tightly and I cling to him through tears, Kahin has been hurt because of me, he got his hands dirty for me.
"I didn't want you to, you could have taken them to the police ... You should have done that," separating myself from him, I look at him confused, hurt and not knowing how to react to what he told me, I let out a sob, "leave me alone, I don't want to see you."
"Sweet please ...forgive me." I look at him feeling guilty for what he did.
"I want to but I can not," I look at him harder, "I want you to go!" I yell loudly at him, "let out of here."
Almost agitated I recoil. He has let his resentment control him and now he will carry something like that on his conscience and I did not want that for him, knowing that it was Ian who did this terrible evil surpasses me, I never believed that he was capable of something so low.
Wanting to forget everything, I decide to go to bed, sleeping will make me forget at least a few hours.
