It was a cold night in Texas.
Julian Reid wanted nothing more than to stay at home, lie down in his bed with a box of popcorn and a bottle of beer while enjoying a Netflix movie, maybe with a beautiful girl by his side?
"Now that’s a luxury for the rich right?" Julian chuckled, breathing hot air into his palms as he rubbed them together rigorously to drive away the cold.
Julian was tall and imposing, about 6 foot 5’ with an amazing physique. He had short spiky brown hair.
It was winter period and since it was snowing, Julian wore a pair of black insulated windproof pants, a pair of black waterproof boots, thick wool socks, a warm black hat, and a scarf around his neck.
After rubbing his palms together to drive away the cold, he wore his black gloves and then he casually trudged across the road, crossing to the other side of the street from his apartment.
Standing out among the buildings on the other side of the street was a popular nightclub with a glowing signboard, [Rock dat’ Azz], and that was where Julian worked.
Julian worked as a bouncer at the nightclub.
Well, that explained why he was not at home lying down lazily on his bed with a box of popcorn and a bottle of beer, because a bunch of rich blokes thought that tonight was a good time to throw a party.
The moment Julian passed the glowing signboard and arrived at the gate, the gateman there quickly recognized him.
"Boss". He called and quickly opened the gate.
Julian nodded to acknowledge him then he walked inside.
He walked along the compound while observing his surroundings. It was still just around 8pm but dozens of luxurious cars were already parked across the compound, evidence that a lot of rich blokes showed up tonight.
Julian idly admired some of the more luxurious cars and soon he stood in front of the 2-story building, stationed right at the door were 2 bouncers.
The moment they saw him, their eyes lit up. "Boss!" They called.
Julian waved a hand at them, then he asked. "Has the party started?"
"Yes," one of the bouncers answered excitedly. "The DJ already started. Boss, the DJ is killing it, and you have to see the girls tonight for yourself!" He became even more excited.
Seeing how excited his subordinate was, Julian chuckled. "Oh, really? Tell me, how do they look?"
"Mountains and hills boss!" The other bouncer answered exuberantly as he winked at Julian.
Seeing this, Julian raised his eyebrows. "Really?"
"Of course!" The bouncer gesticulated excitedly in a rocking motion. "You have to see those huge asses boss and voluk- volak... I mean volukicious!" The bouncer scratched the back of his head. "I don’t know boss but they’re stacked like a prime Mike Tyson!"
Julian chuckled as he tapped his forehead. "Voluptuous dummy, voluptuous".
The bouncer laughed dryly.
"Well you’ve made me interested now, let me go see for myself". With that, he walked past both bouncers and entered the nightclub.
Inside was loud and rowdy.
Just like his boys outside said, the girls tonight were really stacked.
Knowing how many opportunities they could potentially get tonight with the caliber of rich blokes that pulled out for this party, they dressed to kill, revealing just enough of their voluptuous bodies to keep the imagination firing.
Despite the weather, there was a beautiful girl on a very short red gown who was stacked on all sides currently turning heads in the nightclub.
She knew what she carried and she used her assets to maximum effect.
Soon, the rich blokes were attracted as a young guy with blonde hair moved towards her, spraying dollars in the air as the DJ instantly amped up the volume.
"Go Benji!" "Go Benji!" "Go Benji!"
As the DJ hyped him up, the girl also realized her opportunity as she moved her voluptuous ass in front of his crotch, gyrating in a wild and sensual manner as with one hand on her huge ass, this guy rocked her wildly.
Watching this, as a man, Julian instinctively felt hot as his third leg reacted but then he brought out a pack of cigarette, picked one and lit it.
After a deep and long drag, he exhaled then he mumbled. "Money".
To Julian, money was the reality of life.
Just like these guys, he loved wild and exciting nightlives like this but this was a luxury for the rich.
The only reason why he wanted to stay at home in the cold with a box of popcorn and beer was because he couldn’t afford a lifestyle like this, but even that simplified wish of his could not be satisfied because he had to protect these guys.
That was the life of a bouncer like him.
It didn’t matter that he was more hardworking than 99% of the guys here, what mattered was money. Most of them inherited their wealth and that was the defining difference in their lifestyles.
He smoked his cigarette, silently watching the party for a few more minutes.
At some point, after spraying enough dollars, the blonde-haired guy and the beautiful girl in a short red gown eloped into one of the rooms of the nightclub.
Seeing this, Julian chuckled. "Money is everything man".
"With money comes power, and with power you can have anything in the world".
He smirked. "What money cannot solve, too much money can solve it".
He puffed out a cloud of smoke. "I wish I had money".
With that, he turned around and walked to the door to stand watch alongside his boys.
2 hours later, a fight broke out in the nightclub.
Apparently, the blonde-haired guy got into a fight with another rich guy as a result of the beautiful girl with the short red gown.
’Rich people problems’. Julian thought while shaking his head as reluctantly, he had to go get involved in the fight with his boys.
With his incredible physique and power and with help from his boys, he managed to subdue the rich blokes, stopping the fight from escalating to the extent where guns were pulled.
But in the end, Julian got a black eye for his efforts.
As for the blonde-haired guy, uninjured, he still drove home with the beautiful girl on a red gown in his car.
Julian sighed. ’Money, money, money’. He thought.
Later that night when he got home, his body ached from the fight, his eye burning as he pressed it with hot water to ease the pain.
After that, with a grimace he finally collapsed on his bed and covered his body with his thick duvet.
He looked at the ceiling and sighed. "I wish I had money man".
Julian slept.

After enjoying one of the best night sleep experiences he’d had in years, Julian finally woke up contentedly.
He opened his eyes, then he blinked.
’Huh?’
He rubbed his eyes. ’This is not my room!’
He was alarmed. ’What happened? Was I kidnapped?’
From the feeling his body had, he realized that he was on a bed and his first instinctive reaction was to roll from the bed but he tried and he couldn’t!
’I can’t move?’ He was shaken. ’I’m weak!’
Julian almost panicked but having worked as a bouncer for years, leading other bouncers and dealing with different situations with thugs and celebrities, he managed to calm down.
Then he observed his surroundings.
He was inside a bedroom but Julian’s first impression of this room was that it felt less like a bedroom and more like a throne room - a sanctum worthy of a King.
The architecture rose in dark, gothic arches, their shadows clawing upward like the ribs of a cathedral built for worship.
The shadows in the room were dark and unfathomable, but the dominant color in the room was crimson.
Heavy velvet curtains spilled from towering windows, the walls were wrapped in blood-red lustrous fabric, and the vast King-sized bed where he laid was draped in layered silks the color of dried wine.
The red was not warm though, neither was it comforting. It was a deliberate crimson, commanding and indulgent, reeking of fresh sin.
The rugs beneath are thick and ornate.
Candlelight reigned in the metal chandelier that hung overhead, its flames flickering shadows that made the walls of this bedroom seem alive.
Matching lamps glowed at the bedside, bathing the room in amber light.
By Julian’s right, a tall arched window broke the enclosure, revealing a distant, ominous landscape of forests and spires at sunset.
The air felt heavy with incense, power, and patience.
Even with his mental fortitude forged from years as a bouncer, Julian still gulped. ’Where the hell am I?’
’What kind of kidnappers brought me to a room this luxurious?’
In his confusion, Julian froze as a holographic HUD screen suddenly materialized in front of him.
