Lin Jichen smiled wryly. Although he wasn't much of a fighter, he couldn't let Ren Lan face danger for him.
"It's okay, I'll check through the peephole first."
Lin Jichen said as he walked to the door.
Ren Lan had already hidden by the door, fists clenched, ready to strike.
"Brother Lin, Sister Ren, what are you doing?"
Niu Naitang also logged out of the game, looking puzzled.
"Tang Tang, go back and hide, it's not safe." Ren Lan urged.
Niu Naitang obediently hid back in her room, but her little head still peeked out from the bedroom, curiously watching.
Lin Jichen stood at the door, looking through the peephole but saw no one.
This made him even more suspicious. Could it be another child like Tang Tang knocking on the door?
"It really seems like something's wrong." Lin Jichen whispered to Ren Lan.
"It's okay, you open the door. If anyone tries to hurt you, I'll send them to the ICU in no time!" Ren Lan said confidently, already in an attack stance.
Seeing Ren Lan and thinking of her combat skills, Lin Jichen felt more at ease and opened the door.
As soon as the door opened, Ren Lan swung a punch without hesitation, believing in striking first.
However, when Lin Jichen saw who was standing outside the door, his eyes widened in panic, shouting, "Don't hit!"
But Ren Lan's punch was already in motion, with no time to retract.
In a rush, Lin Jichen used his body to block Ren Lan's punch, which landed squarely on his eye socket.
Lin Jichen cried out in pain, clutching his eye and squatting down, in utter agony.
Both the people inside and outside the door were stunned.
"Little Lin, are you crazy? Why did you block me? Let me see." Ren Lan said anxiously.
But the voice outside was even more anxious.
"Little Chen! Are you okay? Let me see."
Ren Lan looked up to see a beautiful girl with elegant features and eyes like autumn water rushing in, squatting down to check Lin Jichen's injury.
Before Ren Lan could ask who she was, the girl raised her gentle eyes, filled with anger, and questioned her, "How could you hit someone like that?"
Ren Lan stood there, dumbfounded, trying to explain, "I... I didn't mean to, I..."
Before she could finish, Lin Jichen, recovering a bit, suddenly shouted joyfully at the girl squatting in front of him, "Sis!"
Then he hugged her tightly!
Ren Lan's mind went blank. Sis... Damn, could this be the cousin Little Lin mentioned?
Oh no, this is so embarrassing.
Hitting someone's brother in front of their sister, how could she possibly score any points now?
"Little Chen, be good, let your sister check your eye first. If it's serious, we need to go to the hospital immediately."
The girl's voice remained gentle, especially when talking to Lin Jichen, as if she could melt a snow mountain.

Ren Lan cooperatively put on a smile that looked worse than crying, trying to appear as obedient as possible.
