"You always know how to sweet-talk your sister into being happy," she said with a teasing smile.
Mu Yang gave him a seductive glance.
"I’m speaking the truth, why would I need to coax you?"
Lin Zifeng said, with sheer honesty. Being beautiful is being beautiful, why go through such a roundabout way to say someone has charisma here and taste there? Isn’t that tiring?
"Hehe, then how about coming to my place for dinner tonight? I’ll cook you my best dishes, guaranteed to satisfy you."
Mu Yang leaned her head towards Lin Zifeng, batting her eyes lined with just a hint of make-up, her voice very charming, as if she was seeking Lin Zifeng’s consent.
Lin Zifeng, who was pondering how to excuse himself later, suddenly froze.
She’s inviting me to her place for dinner again?
Last time she tricked me saying she was moving, and in the midst of moving, we almost ended up moving to the bed. And now she’s inviting me over again?
"Do you always entertain guests ?"
Lin Zifeng was genuinely confused by this woman.
"Giggle, I’m just giving you face. Even if others offered me money to dine with them, I’d be too lazy to go. And here you are, not knowing what’s good for you and refusing. I really don’t understand what you’re thinking."
I’m just worried that if I do go, I might end up eating you, all the way to the bed. And here I am, being so thoughtful, but you take it for donkey’s lungs and liver. Lin Zifeng thought to himself.
Mu Yang’s skills at seducing and bewitching men were something he had witnessed somewhat. The last time he was at her place, he had nearly fallen for her traps.
"Manager Mu, I really have urgent matters tonight, but if you insist on being so polite, then let’s do it another day. How about another day?"
Lin Zifeng was flattering her to avoid upsetting her, God only knows what crazy idea she’ll come up with next to embarrass him.
"No way, it must be tonight. If you dare not come, hmm hmm, then you better watch out from now on."
Mu Yang was a decisive woman. Words spoken by her were not to be casually rebuffed. Having grown up in a family where everything was handed to her, Mu Yang still harbored quite a bit of that domineering feminism in her bones.
"Are you threatening me now?" Lin Zifeng laughed and pulled out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket, lighting one up.
"It’s not a threat, it’s an intimidation!"
Mu Yang corrected Lin Zifeng’s words very seriously.
"We’ll see when the time comes, I’m really too busy to get away. Tonight, I have to accompany my wife shopping. How could I have time to go to your place?" Lin Zifeng tried to deflect the topic, "How about, how about we make it another time? That would be better, right?"
"No way, regardless of the excuse tonight, you have to come home with me and enjoy a proper meal. Otherwise, I have a very bad temper, and I hold grudges very well. If I were to gossip about it to President Nangong, be careful he doesn’t make life difficult for you," she warned.

"Then bring me a glass of ’82 Moutai with no purity’," Lin Zifeng replied in a gloomy voice, as though he had just been pinned to the ground and thoroughly dealt with by Mu Yang.
Mu Yang was suddenly stunned.
’82 Moutai, and with no purity?
Was there such a drink?
Given Mu Yang’s broad experience and having attended many large and small banquets, how could a woman from a wealthy family not know about liquor?
"It’s just boiled water."
When Mu Yang looked at him puzzled, Lin Zifeng calmly answered.

As Mu Yang went to fetch a drink from the restaurant chef, a group of high-level white-collar workers with handsome looks and stylish dress were sitting not far away, pointing at Lin Zifeng’s direction and chattering non-stop.
One of the tall and skinny men with a crew cut said to his friends with sparkling eyes, "Hey, guys, did you see that? Over there, that kid was just flirting with our company’s famous flirt from the IT department, Mu Yang. Plus, I also saw him chatting with Zhang Xixi from the finance department. What kind of background do you think this guy has?"
The two male white-collar workers sitting with their backs to Lin Zifeng turned their heads slowly after hearing this and noticed Mu Yang about to leave and Lin Zifeng flirting, their eyes widening in shock.

But after observing for a moment, I realized this guy seems to be the same one who caused quite a stir recently in the company with Fan Jian from the advertising planning department. Turns out he’s that little security guard; I thought he was somebody significant."
"Wu Yong, that security guard you told me about last time, it’s him?"
One of the white-collar workers turned to take another look at Lin Zifeng and found nothing more than plainness, hardly compelling enough to take a second glance.
"Yeah, that’s the guy who played Fan Jian out of the picture; if it weren’t for him, Fan Jian probably wouldn’t have been crossed off so quickly." The one who first recognized Lin Zifeng was called Wu Yong, one of the trade department supervisors. He had a complex and ambiguous relationship with the department head Sun Xiaonao, sporting a face so delicate that it could make women jealous, looking like a kept man. If one didn’t notice the prominent Adam’s apple below his neck, they might even mistake him for an effeminate man.
The two beasts opposite him were high-level white-collar workers from the trade department. They usually strutted about with faux authority, hanging around with this pretty boy who was almost more beautiful than some women, doing plenty of brown-nosing and boot-licking, effectively becoming Wu Yong’s lackeys.
