Chapter 105 Martin's Announcement
"Alright, I'll handle it." Nigel immediately answered without thinking.
For Nigel, the arrangement was going to be a piece of cake. However, whether people decide to come or not wasn't his problem.
"By the way, Nelson doesn't have to know about this." Martin said. He knew that Nelson Johnson was Moore's father, so he decided not to invite them.
"Okay." Nigel said with a smile.
Nigel was the boss of C City and had more than a hundred million dollars, so he naturally knew who the other billionaires were.
With that, he quickly spread the news.
"Is Mr. James holding a party for us? Well, if that's the case, I'll go there tomorrow at noon." The boss of the Skylight Group responded.
"I'm definitely going if Mr. James' going to treat us!" The boss of Delicious Food Corporation answered.
After the last auction, all of the billionaires saw how powerful Martin was. Not to mention, they also learned that Marin was the grandson of Morgan, so it was impossible not to honor him as one of them.
Especially when Martin's going to be treating all the billionaires in C City.
Meanwhile, Moore's father, Nelson, sat on the sofa.
"Mr. Johnson, I heard that Mr. James invited C City's boss with more than a hundred million assets to dinner. He also invited all the other billionaires except for you." Nelson's secretary said.
"That's strange. If he wanted to invite all the billionaires, why didn't he invite me?" Nelson said, bewildered. "Does he look down on me?"
The next day at noon, all kinds of luxurious cars came to Castle Peak Hotel and C City's billionaires greeted each other with a warm smile.
It was such a grand occasion and it was no different from the time when the auction was held some time ago.
Apart from the annual auction in C City, few people could bring so many billionaires together at the same time. However, Martin was the one who offered, so they wouldn't want to take down an offer made by Morgan's grandson.
"Mr. James, most of them are here. Some of them aren't able to catch up, though." Nigel said.
"That's alright." Martin said as he stood up. "Let's go."
At dinner, all the bosses sat at tables together as they tried to catch up. They all came without their family members, so it was convenient time for them.
"All in honesty, I don't know why Mr. James invited us to dinner today."
"Me neither. There must be something wrong."
All of a sudden, Martin walked in from the front door and smiled. Everyone looked at Martin in awe while Nigel followed him.
It was then that Martin went to the stage and the whole diner settled down.
"First of all, I want to thank all of you for coming to dinner. It's my treat!" Martin said with a smile. "Apart from inviting all of you to dinner, I have one main thing to announce."
"I want to announce that I will ban the Johnson Group in C City." Martin added while he maintained his composure.
When Martin announced that, all the billionaires were in an uproar.
"Mr. James wants to ban the Johnson Group?"
"What did they do to make Mr. James want to ban their business?'
After a while, Martin waved his hand. "I hope everyone cooperates with me on this. Anyone who has any cooperation with the Johnson Group, I advise that you immediately cut it off. If anyone still wants to cooperate with them, then I will regard you as an enemy and you can weigh the consequences!"
Martin's tone was loud and clear. He didn't have any doubt, so he scanned around the room and asked. "Do any of you have a problem with that?"
After a moment of silence, a boss stood up to declare his opinion. "I'm the boss of Skylight Group and I firmly support Mr. James' decision!"
Another boss began to declare his own opinion as well. "I'm the boss of Bright light Group and I support Mr. James' position as well!"
Soon after, the billionaires who were present stood up one after another so they could declare their opinion. They thought that what Martin asked them to do was easy.
After all, Martin was the chairman of the Gold Group.
Nigel stood next to Martin the whole time and when he saw the billionaires obey his decision, he was in awe.
"Mr. James, you're the only one that the billionaires obeyed. You should be proud of that." Nigel whispered.
Martin simply nodded and smiled. He then picked up a glass of wine and raised it up. "Thank you all for your support."
With that, he drank the glass of wine he held on his hand and the billionaires gave him a round of applause.
After Martin's announcement, the banquet was officially held.
While the billionaires ate and drank, they also couldn't help but talk to each other.
"The Johnson Group is a really big group here. So many of us have to be polite to Nelson, but now, Mr. James can easily ban it!"
"I'm afraid no one can match Mr. James when it comes to things like that."
"I don't know what the Johnson Group did, but I can't believe that Mr. James got into such a big fight with them!"
"In any case, this is a lesson. We should never offend Mr. James or else our companies with go downhill. Not to mention, we'll have to pay the consequences."
Miles had also been invited to the banquet and he immediately knew why Martin would do that in the first place.
"I told Moore that he shouldn't offend Martin, but he didn't believe me. This time, his father's screwed now because of what he did." Miles murmured to himself as he smiled.
Miles thought that Martin would retaliate yesterday, but he didn't expect that he would actually come up with something big.
Not to mention, so many billionaires would have to cut their ties with the Johnson Group.
However, even though he never expected it, he was happy because Martin did that for his daughter, which showed that he loved her very much.
Meanwhile, Moore came down the stairs with a happy look on his face.
"Moore, you look so happy right now. You can tell me if you want, you know?" Nelson asked with a smile.
"Well, I've always told you that I liked Hedy Julian, right?" Moore chuckled. "She's my girlfriend now and I'm just so ecstatic."
"Really? That's a good thing, then! If you can marry her, then I'll be proud of you." Nelson laughed. "You better marry her as soon as possible."
"Don't worry, dad. I'll make her marry me someday." Moore nodded excitedly. "Well, I have something to do, so I'll have to go out first."
With that, Moore walked out of the house.
As soon as Moore went out, Nelson's phone rang. He looked at the caller ID and saw that the boss of the Delicious Food Company called him.
