Juliet Calland
It's been 2 weeks and there's no news from Leo.
Actually I've been a little nervous lately because I kept looking at my phone hoping that he will send me a message or maybe call me.
I was busy walking back and forth inside my office in Paris and I bit my lips thinking about it. Suddenly someone knocked on the door and I found my secretary walking in.
"Ms. Calland, there's someone waiting for you in the fitting room." I raised my eyebrows.
"I'm pretty sure that we don't have any appointments today." I said.
"It's Lena and her friend, Ms. Calland." She said and I nodded. Lena is my friend in Paris, she's a bag designer and we worked together once in a while. I took my phone from the table and gestured to my secretary to go to the fitting room.
I walked out from my office to go to the fitting room downstairs. I found Lena talking to a really beautiful woman. Lena turned to me and she smiled widely.
"Juliet." Lena hugged me and I hugged her back.
"How are you Lena?" I asked as we both released the hug.
"I'm good, thankyou. Juliet, I want to introduce you to my bestfriend, Nadine Serov." I turned to the beautiful woman beside Lena.
"Your Highness." She bowed to me and I shook my hand quickly.
"Please just call me Juliet, you don't need to be so formal." I said smiling at her.
"So.. what can I help you?" I asked both of them.
"Lena here, she recommended me to have my engagement dress design by you." Nadine said as she pointed at Lena.
"She's the best, I bet you will love her design."
"I can't wait!" Nadine squealed and suddenly her eyes widen, "Oh God.. I almost forgot you're friend with Leo right?" I raised my eyebrows with she mentioned that.
"Leo? Leonardo?"
"The future king of Denmark." Lena said.
"Yes, we know each other."
"What a small world!" Nadine said as she turned to Lena. Lena smiled to her and I looked at Lena confused.
"She's just engaged to Leo last week." Lena said and my body froze.
"I'm sorry, what?" I think I have en ear problem.
"I'm going to get married to Leo by the end of this year." Nadine said as she walked towards the mirror. I was speechless hearing the news and my body turned numb knowing that he's engaged to another woman already.
"Con- congratulations!" I said completely not knowing how to react hearing the news.
"Thankyou." I turned to Nadine and I started to observe her closely. Her beauty is no joke, she's so beautiful, tall and so elegant. People might believe if she said shems a princess instead me who has the title of Princess of Sweden.
"Leo is in Denmark?" I asked and I even choked myself in the middle.
"No, he's actually here. He's meeting some friends now." Nadine answered as she looked around the fitting room. She scanned the dresses and I walked towards the window completely not liking whatever I'm feeling right now.
How come he didn't come here to say hi? He didn't even contact me for 2 weeks. I was worried about him but it was useless. He's having fun being engaged to another woman already.
"Hello everyone." I turned to the door after hearing his voice. Leo stood there smiling at me and my heart skipped a beat right away. He turned to Nadine and walked to her instead of walking towards me.
I saw him giving her a hug and I looked away immediately. My heart was aching and I don't know why.
"Juliet, can I see other designs? I need inspiration for my dress." Nadine asked and I turned to my secretary.
"Please take her to the collection closet." I told my secretary and she nodded. She lead Nadine out and Lena followed her leaving me alone with Leo alone.
"How are you, Juliet?" I turned to Leo who's already smiling at me.
"I'm good." I said completely not to dare to look at his eyes.
"I'm engaged."
"Okay." I nodded and Leo walked closer to me. I took a step back not wanting to get close to him. My heart was going crazy and I don't want to interact with him.
"My parents knew about me asking you to find me a bride, Juliet."
"Okay." I nodded.
"It has been tough back at home, my siblings caused so much trouble right now and I can't-"
"You don't need to explain it to me." I cut him as I looked at him. He was going to say something but he decided not to.
"You like it huh? You like the fact that we won't get married to each other." Leo said in a tone that I don't understand.
"I mean.. you won't ask me for another candidate again. I'm a busy person, remember?" I said as I looked away and let out a dry laugh.
"I'm going to stay in Paris for 2 weeks because I have an important meeting to attend almost everyday. Can we at least hang out? As a friend?" Leo asked and I shook my head.
"I don't think your fiance will like that."
"Why? You're my friend, my childhood friend." Friend?
Suddenly Leo laughed and he walked towards the sofa. I looked at him completely don't understand why he was laughing all of the sudden.
"Why are you laughing?" I asked as I looked at him sitting on the sofa facing me.
"Juliet.. Juliet.."
"What?"
"It's not a sin to admit that you're jealous." He smirked.
"What?!" I looked at him in disbelief.
"You might be a tough woman sometimes but.. your eyes can't lie."
"I don't understand what you're saying."
"Do you miss me?"
"You're being ridiculous." I hissed as I walked towards the door.
"You like me, don't you?" I stopped my tracks and I gulped. I turned to him slowly and he smiled at me widely.
"You miss me so much that you can't stop looking at your phone, you miss me so much that you're waiting for my calls and messages and.. you like me so much that I bet you didn't go out with other men for the past 2 weeks and you're even jealous earlier knowing that Nadine is my fiance." I was speechless when he said all of that.
"Am I right?"
"Are you crazy?" I asked and he got up from the sofa walking towards me. He stopped right in front of me and I looked at him disbelief.
"Yeah.. I am crazy and I've been missing you a lot."
"Okay.. this is not right." I said as I took a step back away from him.
"What's not right, Juliet?" He asked as he took a step forward towards me.
"You have a fiance on the other side of the room, I don't know what's going on inside your stupid head right now but you better get your head right!" I hissed as I took another step back.
"Are you seriously clueless? Or are you pretending not to know, Juliet?"
"I don't understand what are you saying, Leo."
"Ah.. you don't understand?" He smirked and I scoffed glaring at him.
"Very well.." He shrugged and then he grabbed my hand pulling me towards him. He crashed his lips to mine.
