Linnea Lindberg
I didn't cry a bit after the break up. My heart was hurting but I tried to control my feelings so bad. I went back to Sweden that night and my parents were surprised that I was acting so civil with them.
I told my parents that I will go back to studying as soon as possible. My parents told me they will prepare me some special teachers to help me with my studying.
I was done with boys and love already.
"Linnea, are you okay?" I turned to see my father entering my room. I was looking blankly out the window seeing the beautiful moon in the sky.
"I can't say that I'm okay."
"Did Isaac hurt you?" He asked in a careful tone.
"We hurt each other, father."
"But I'm glad that you're back here. You can prepare yourself." He said as he held my hand and I turned to him fully.
"Father, what if I don't want to be a Queen? I don't think that I'm capable to be one." I said and he smiled.
"You're not confident right? That's why you kept running away." He asked and I nodded.
"I mean you only have me and I'm useless!" I looked down to the ground and my father hugged me.
"You're not useless, you're just a little bit lost."
"I'm sorry, father." I hugged him tightly and he patted my back.
"That's why I want you to marry Logan. You don't need to be Queen, Linnea. He's a really good man and really smart too." He said as he released the hug. He put his hands on my shoulder and smiled looking at me.
"How about you marry him and just be beside him? You'll be happy, Linnea. Logan will make you happy too, I can guarantee that. He is responsible, considerate and he will be a great King." I know that Logan is a great man but he's in love with Amanda. I can't change his feelings and I don't want to ruin him. He deserves the world and love from Amanda.
"But father.."
"What?"
"Nothing." I sighed.
"I'll let you fix your broken heart for a month and then how about we proceed with the engagement?" He asked and I looked at him pouting a bit.
"Do you have another man for me to marry?"
"You can pick either Raphael or Logan? It's always been the two. I'm guessing that you don't Raphael anymore so let's cross him from the list."
"I won't be Queen?"
"You'll be the Queen of Denmark but you don't need to rule the country. You only are on Logan's side and help him a little bit. I know that's what you want.. right?" He asked and I nodded.
"Remember this.. your dyslexia is not a disease. I know it's hard for you to rule and hard for you to learn but I wish you the confidence to go out of that dark zone. If you really don't want to rule, I still can rule Sweden just fine. I'm only 47 years old." He chuckled as he patted my head and I smiled nodding.
"I know that you've tried to escape from your fear by going to America and try to be independent by living alone. You did it.. and I'm proud of you, Linnea."
"You did?" I asked him in disbelief. I thought he didn't like it because I was a model.
"You grew up completely shy, sweet and just so scared to be around people because of your dyslexia but look at you now! You can mingle with everyone but.. and again when it comes to your duty, you will chicken out again."
"How can I not chicken out? All of Sweden is in my hand, I can't just rule. I want them to be happy and I want them to know that their Queen is capable of ruling the country. I want them to know that I will take care of them just fine."
"You will, Linnea. I know you will! You have that heart.. We all know about it." But suddenly I remembered what Isaac said to me.
"Father, did I always make you to keep on my pace? Did I always make you listen to what I want?" I asked him carefully.
"You did. You're quite demanding, Linnea, but I don't see it as a burden. That's your charming points, you might be demanding but in the end of the day.. you always win. I always realize that what you demand will be good for you and for me too. You're demanding but you're not selfish." He said but I guess because he's my father, he will say that. Isaac was right, I was demanding and.. wanting people to keep my pace all the time.
"Your teacher will come tomorrow, Linnea. You will start studying again."
"Thankyou so much, father." I smiled.
"Think about what I told you earlier, if you're willing to marry Logan, your life will be easier."
"I will, I'll give you the answer when I'm ready." I said and my father nodded.
"Take a rest, Linnea. I'll see you tomorrow morning." He kissed my forehead and I nodded. My father left my room and I felt my phone vibrating.
Raphael:
I've heard you're back in Sweden. Want to hang out tomorrow?
I read his message and put my phone back into my pocket. I'm not in the mood to see anyone right now. I will get back into studying tomorrow and I hope I can process everything tomorrow.
I'm sorry brain, you'll be struggling for awhile.
I looked back to the moon and sighed. My heart was still aching but I don't know why I don't want to cry. I tried to be strong because I don't want to look weak just because another boy broke my heart.
I'm so done with love.
