I looked at myself at the mirror and tried to massage my cheeks because it was hurting from smiling. We're currently attending a big event right now and people were congratulating us for soon to be our wedding since we're engaged and Kyle had been telling everyone that we'll get married soon.
It's a lie though.
We both prepared it last minute for a lot of reasons. He wanted to make it obvious so Catherine will believe it and as for me, so the guy who had been spying on me and Kyle tells Logan about it.
We're crazy.. for sure to lie about the wedding to almost everyone.
I walked out from the toilet and walked back into the ballroom. I sat down beside Kyle and he gave me a new glass of champagne.
"Jacob! How are you?" We both turned to see Mr. Cosven and we automaticly stood up from our seat to greet him.
"Mr. Cosven! I'm good, how about you?" Kyle shook his hand as smiling widely. Kyle put his arm around my waist.
"I'm good, Kyle." He answered and then he turned to me, "Amanda, you look stunning! How are you?" Mr. Cosven shook my hand and I smiled.
"I'm good and you look younger, Mr. Cosven."
"Oh! Thankyou! That's the best compliment that I've ever heard, I've been changing my diet lately."
"That's great." I said and Mr. Cosven excused himself because someone called him from afar.
"Kyle Denver and Amanda! You owe me a dinner, Kyle!" We both turned to see Mr. Dexter chuckling with a champagne glass on his right hand.
"Mr. Dexter! You remember!" Kyle hugged him and Mr. Dexter chuckled.
"Of course! You lose on our bowling night, remember?"
"Will never forget about that.." Kyle laughed.
"So.. when is the wedding?" He asked as he looked at the both of us.
"Soon, Mr. Dexter. We're still planning.." Kyle was lying though. We're going to register our wedding first next week and then have the grand wedding in 3 months.
"Good! I wish you two a happy life and please don't forget to invite me or I'll be very sad if you two don't." He said and I laughed. He put his hand in front of us as a promise.
"Thankyou so much, Mr. Dexter. Our wedding will come soon, we'll send you an invitation." I said to Mr. Dexter as I shook his hand to promise him that I will send the invitations. Kyle suddenly dragged me to the drink section.
"I hate lying.. we will never have our wedding." I sighed as I leaned my head to his shoulder. I'm tired trying to be bubbly and smiling to everyone.
"Don't worry, it's for our own good." Kyle patted my hand and I sighed again. I took a glass of cold water and drank it all in one shot. My heart is full of sin because of all the lies that we've been spreading around. God, please forgive me. I hissed looking at all the drinks, why don't they prepare a beer or a strong alcohol drinks.
"I need a strong beer.. I'm tired already." I said to Kyle.
"I'm assuming that you're Kyle Denver." I froze hearing that voice and I slowly turned my head.
It's Logan.
Logan is here, right in front of me. I miss him.. a lot. Oh God, help me. My lips froze and I could find my voice right away. I was speechless and I looked at him like he's a ghost because he's suppose to be in Denmark right now.
His coronation is tomorrow!
"Mandy? Are you okay?" Kyle asked me as he patted my arm.
"Mandy?!" Logan looked at me disbelief and his eyes was burning in flame.
"Kyle, this is Logan. Logan, this is my fiance, Kyle Denver." I quickly introduced Kyle to Logan and vice versa. I was still so speechless about this that I blinked a couple of times to make sure that he's real.
"Your Highness." Kyle said politely.
"What are you doing here?" I asked as I got the courage to talk to him. I quickly held on to Kyle's arm so he could see that I'm with this man beside me.
"I'm here to visit my bestfriend, is it a crime?" He asked and then he turned to Kyle for a second before looking at me again.
"I'm busy, we're preparing the wedding." I said and gave Kyle a tap secretly and Kyle nodded.
"It was nice to know Mandy's bestfriend. We won't forget to send our wedding invitation to you, Your Highness." Kyle suddenly said and I smiled a little looking at him.
"Don't you have a fiance? What's her name? Catherine Ashton?" Logan suddenly smirked and my eyes widen.
"That's his ex-fiance, they were arrange marriage. Don't you try to butt in into our lives, Logan." I bursted angrily at him for bringing up Kyle's private life into this.
"Excuse us, Your Highness. We have other friends to greet." Kyle quickly said and he pulled me away. He put his arm around my waist and I sighed big time. My heart was beating so fast seeing Logan here in front of me.
"You okay?" Kyle asked me completely worried.
"I'm not.. I never thought he will come here. He has to be in Denmark for his coronation." I whispered as I looked at the ground blankly and he patted my back trying to calm me down.
"Do you want to talk to him?" He asked and I turned to him.
"No.. I don't want to." I shook my head and he patted my back again. Why is he here? He's suppose to be in Denmark! Is he nuts?
"Mandy, we need to talk." I heard Logan stood behind me and I gripped Kyle's suit hard.
"She doesn't want to talk to you, Logan." Kyle hissed.
"It's important."
"Mandy is my fiance and if you want to talk to her, talk in front of me." Kyle said in an angry tone which I'm so thankful that he wanted to help me.
"Jacob, let her talk to him." I heard someone talk and that made me release the hug. I saw Logan and Catherine standing in front of us.
"She's my fiance and you both can't tell me what to do." Kyle bursted angrily and I let out a deep sigh.
"If you want to talk, let him hear." I said as I looked at Logan coldly.
"Let's go back to Denmark, okay? We have to talk.. a long one." Logan looked at me seriously and I shook my head.
"I had enough talks, I'm getting married." I said as I turned to Kyle and then turned my head back to Logan.
"Will you just cooperate with me, Mandy?" Logan hissed as he ran his hand through his hair.
"Just go back there alone, I'm staying in New York." I answered coldly.
"Fine, if you don't want to go to Denmark but let's talk for 15 minutes alone." He suddenly bursted out and I looked at him glaring.
"I don't trust you." I said as I shook my head. He's suspicious.. we had enough talks already. I don't want to ruin his coronation tomorrow because he might do something crazy here.
"I don't trust you either, I did make sure that no one will call you Mandy except me, beautiful." Logan smirked at me and that made me want to slap his handsome face.
Suddenly I remembered what my dad said to me. He told me not to push Logan away if I have a chance to see and talk to him. I guess.. this is the chance?
"Fine! Let's talk.." I looked at Logan straight into his eyes and walked out from the ballroom. I tried to find a quite hallway to talk to him. I stood there and Logan stood in front of me.
"I can't believe you let him call you Mandy." He said in a really sad tone and now I felt guilty. I looked down to the ground completely can't look at him straight into his eyes.. I might cry in front of him.
"Just tell me.. whatever you want to say."
"Tomorrow is my coronation, you have to come with me." He said and I shook my head.
"No."
"Mandy, please.." He begged and that hurt my heart. Even standing in front of him is making my heart shattered into pieces.
"I can't. I'm preparing my wedding."
"You broke a lot of promises, Mandy. I don't understand what's going on your mind. Until when will you hurt me like this?" I scoffed disbelief and I looked up to him.
"Hurting you? You know that you're not the only one who's hurting here!" I hissed coldly.
"Please come to Denmark, Mandy. I can't have the coronation without you there." He said as he tried to take my hand but I took a step back.
"Don't touch me.." I hissed.
"You said you want to see me going out from that palace with my crown."
"I told you that I will talk to you after you have that crown."
"Mandy please.."
"I'm sorry, Logan. I can't, I'm getting married and I can't leave my fiance just to attend your coronation." I said and he looked down to my ring.
"You're giving up on me huh?" That hit my heart right on the core. He took my left hand and he looked at the ring.
"We have our own.. path." My voice cracked and Logan immediately turned to me.
"We're meant to be together, Mandy." He said looking into my eyes. I felt tears starting to pile up but I quickly looked away.
"We.. suffer enough, Logan. Even though we're meant to be together, there's no way we can be together." I said in a small tone trying to control my emotions. I tried not to cry but ended up filling up my own eyes with tears.
"Then can you at least.. come to my coronation?"
"I'm sorry, I can't." I said as I pushed his hand away.
"You swore that you will come. Besides it's my dream, don't we promise to support each other."
"My fiance won't let me go, Logan. He will be sad if his future wife go to Denmark with someone else." My voice cracked again.
"Until when you want me to fight for you, Mandy? When will you realize that I really love you? Or maybe on my dead bed?"
"Please.. I can't go." I said and I heard him sighing.
"Very well then.." He said and I walked away from him.
