Jonea returns to school as herself. While at school that day, she tried to avoid B4, especially Hunter. By all means, she avoided any activity that might bring her together with them.
After class ended, Jonea immediately left but didn't rush home. She went into the art club room, which was now completely empty. Only Jonea holds the key and has complete control of the place.
"This place will always remind me of Axel. Even though it's disgusting, this is the only place I can make hiding for a while. Phew!"
The girl waited there for some time until no more students were hanging around the school.
Jonea already understands and knows the rhythm of activities at Abraham High School. She even memorized the duty officers from Monday to the weekend. She also studied the attitude patterns and habits of the teachers. Jonea secretly observed and recorded these little things while looking there for only one purpose – to find reproach and evidence.
Jonea checked the time on her phone. "In five minutes, the school security officers will be around to check on the condition of the school and make sure no students are left behind. Outside of school hours, students are limited to activities in the dormitory area."
One of the reasons Jonea was able to get to the art club room was that the place had no surveillance cameras. The area used to be a warehouse which is now converted and used as an art club room by Axel. Jonea had already studied the place and the other rooms around the school. Apart from art clubs, several sites do not have surveillance cameras.
"CCTV footage is in the security guard's room. I have to sneak and go there. If the plan fails this time, the only recourse is the video archive in private club room B4. However, that was only possible with Hunter and the rest of B4 knowing about it. In fact, I also still need to fully trust Aland. After all, he's still a werewolf even though he's only of mixed blood."
Since arriving at Abraham High School, Jonea has attempted to gain access to the security room several times. However, she consistently fails to go there because the place is always guarded 24 hours a day. Jonea knew there was almost no opening in there.
The girl opened the backpack she had prepared at home. Jonea started to change into her uniform with more comfortable clothes. She wore black trousers and a black hooded jacket. Jonea wears a clown mask to disguise her face.
"If my legal means can't reach that place, then the only way is to use illegal means."
Lastly, to disguise the body odor and traces, Jonea sprayed a unique solution that she got from a traditional perfume maker in the village. The scent of the spice perfume has been proven to obscure traces of human scent from the wolves' sense of smell.
On the other hand, Hunter had behaved like a madman all that day. He paced back and forth in private clubroom B4 and kept his eyes on the surveillance cameras in his room.
Aland was lying down reading a book on the sofa not far from where Hunter monitored the CCTV footage. Ed and Elmar played an online game in a slightly separate area.
"School time is over," cried Ed. "You don't want to go home? We haven't been together for a long time. How about we go to a karaoke place?"
Only Elmar greeted him happily. He was so excited and already imagined he would meet beautiful girls at karaoke.
"But I don't want to visit the karaoke place students usually visit. The place is easier. Let's go karaoke, where the grown girls usually hang out on weekends. We can also have a blind date there."
Ed offered Aland, who was still focused on his book. He snatched the book from Aland's hand and bent down to ask his friend's opinion.
"I don't know," Aland muttered lazily. "I'm not in the mood to go anywhere. Maybe I should just go back to the dorms and sleep."
"Well, you are not cool, Aland!" Elmar protested. "Hunter, what about you? I notice you've been very busy with the CCTV monitors. What exactly are you looking for all day? Are you bored? Who will get the symbol B4 this time?"
Aland secretly glanced sharply and kept a close eye on Hunter's activities. Hunter did not flinch in front of the monitor. He kept looking for Jonea's whereabouts in every corner of the school but couldn't find the girl anywhere through the CCTV footage.
"Damn it!" grunted Hunter. "Is she not coming to school anymore? But my gut told me she was at school. I can smell her presence. However, I can't find her anywhere."
"You… talking about Jonea?" Elmar hissed. 'You're a stalker now?' he thought.
Feeling neglected, Elmar approaches Hunter. Hunter didn't even notice that Elmar was standing behind him. Elmar bent down to watch the monitors showing CCTV footage in various places throughout the school building and dormitories.
"You bastard, perverted brain!" quipped Elmar when Hunter accidentally watched the CCTV screen in the area in front of the women's restroom.
Hunter was shocked and stuttered. He turned to Elmar and tried to dodge the accusation. However, Elmar was entirely in disbelief and glared sinisterly at Hunter.
"All this day, you just spent your time watching the girls coming out of the toilet? What a disgrace! Come on, come with us to karaoke. Instead of you watching them through the monitor, it's better if we meet them face to face."
Elmar drags Hunter even though the young man rebels and refuses. Elmar still dragged him by force.
Just as Hunter got up from the chair and left with Elmar, it was then that Jonea, in her all-black dress, silently passed in front of the staff room. Unintentionally, part of her body was recorded by a surveillance camera.
The girl was holding a silver stake in her hand. And walked closer to the wall to reach the blind spot so that it was not recorded by the CCTV camera. When passing in front of the teacher's room, Jonea's back was accidentally caught on camera. After opening it with a spare key she stole from the janitor's room, the girl managed to get into the staff room.
The teacher's room is dark. Jonea didn't dare turn on the light, fearing it would attract attention. Exactly a second after Jonea entered the staff room, a security guard walked by with a flashlight and radio.
The security guard shone his flashlight through the glass window of the staff room. Jonea immediately rolled to the side and hid under one of the teacher's desks. The light of the flashlight only passed a few inches off the floor in front of her feet.
Jonea was really inching there. Even she held her breath as if her breath could reveal her existence.
"I feel something is off," the security guard told his colleague over the radio.
"What do you mean by something strange? Is there something fishy?" replied the colleague.
"Well, I remember I had some coffee brewed earlier, but I haven't had a chance to drink it yet. Ha ha ha…." The security guard laughed loudly at the handy talky he was holding. Then he turned the beam of the flashlight elsewhere.
At that moment, Jonea could hear the footsteps of the security guard moving away. Then she breathed a sigh of relief.
The girl crawled out from under the table. She didn't want to waste time and rushed to the filing cabinet. A large enough vault contains data and student records for several semesters.
Jonea searches for records on Miller. The girl hopes to find clues from there, whether it's a psychology consultation note or notes from the homeroom teacher and other teachers. No matter the hint's size, it will be precious to her.
Jonea remembers the day Miller was reported to have been in an accident. "He contacted me, and we promised to meet at the bus stop before the school. Miller says his finishing up one last project before he heads home for the summer. He also said the project was significant for evaluating the continuity of his scholarship. So, one of the teachers here should have a file of those assignment notes."
With the light of her cellphone, Jonea checked the files and data of the students from the previous semester one by one. Jonea's search stopped at a yellow file named Miller Fallon.
She took out the document file and opened it quickly. The document contains records of grades and assignments done by Miller for one semester. Jonea's gaze scanned the scholarship renewal application evaluation record.
"A special assignment from the Director of the Abraham Foundation?" Jonea read it carefully. And suddenly, Jonea's hands shook violently at the last sentence in the note.
"Impossible?" she muttered in disbelief.
