Trapped by Four Alphas Chapter 101

"Jonea–" Miller's words were cut off, and his voice sounded hoarse. He felt so guilty and afraid to look at Jonea. Jonea's head kept spinning, and her stomach started to churn. She tried to sit up straight. Jonea reached out and held Miller's shoulders firmly. She looked at Miller seriously. "Tell me that white wolf is not you!" hissed Jonea. Miller looked down. He avoided meeting Jonea's eyes. "Does that have something to do with your memories coming back? After getting your memories, you can finally turn into a wolf?" Miller still looked down silently. "Look me in the eye, asshole!" she shouted. "Tell me that white wolf is not you!" Jonea's voice was thunderous. Her anger overpowered the roar of a thunderous waterfall outside. "I'm sorry, Jonea," Miller said very softly. "Impossible!" Jonea's tears broke. She took her hand off Miller's shoulder and clenched tightly. She sat hugging her knees and buried her face between her folded hands. "Is this Director Abraham's doing? Was she the one who forced you and turned you into a wolf?" Jonea's voice sounded shaky. Miller shook his head and hugged Jonea tightly. "No, Jonea. You misunderstood. Please calm yourself down. Give me a chance to explain." Hearing Miller's words, Jonea immediately pushed her brother hard. Jonea was too surprised and shivered violently. She barely even recognized her own brother. Jonea wants to know what happened to Miller while at school. 'The time to be sad is over,' thought Jonea. She rubbed her tears roughly. "Tell me. What happened to you at that school? What have they done to you, Miller? I'll make sure they get paid for what they did. I won't let you suffer. You have been turned into a wolf?" "Jonea… Jonea…!" repeated Miller to resuscitate his older sister. "Please calm down and control yourself. If you're still getting emotional, I won't be able to explain it to you very well." She quickly wiped away the tears that kept coming out uncontrollably. Jonea looked up and took a deep breath. She tried to calm down and regain her sanity. "I'm better now. Tell me in detail. Don't miss a single one." For the first time, Miller dared to look at Jonea. His gaze was so serene. Miller said to his twin sister. "There is lycan blood flowing in our bodies." Jonea reacted immediately, but Miller raised a hand to calm the girl down. Jonea nodded and covered her mouth tightly. She opened her ears wide for whatever Miller had to say. "I know you will be shocked and may reject the information I am passing on. But what I'm saying is the truth. We twins are not identical. We are born from the same parents. You and I have DNA cells that are 99.99% the same. That means we are indeed brothers. We are born from the same ovary. Are our current parents (Mr. and Mrs. Fallon) our real parents? One thing is for sure, but you don't know. We're not human. We are the descendants of the Lycans." Jonea shook her head. Of course, not believing Miller's words. "How did it happen? We're humans, Miller Fallon. Look, I don't have wolf fur on me or our parents' bodies. Are you hallucinating? Are you sure those people didn't brainwash you while you were at school? Maybe they changed all the information in your head and replaced it with weird things like you said?" Miller sighed. Patiently, he held Jonea's hands and reassured the girl. "Aren't you curious? Why have we rarely been sick? Aren't you curious? Why do we have such strong immune systems, even though physically we look weak? You are often injured but recover quickly. Although slower than the werewolves, of course. Aren't you curious? Why do you have such a good sense of smell, Jonea? I'm sure even you can smell someone's body, even if you don't realize it. Most importantly, how can you understand wolf language if you are human?" Jonea was speechless. She opened her mouth for a moment, then closed it again. She felt like Miller had just slapped her. Normal humans can't communicate with wolves. But Jonea can. "Initially, I thought what I feel and experience is normal things that are also felt by other humans," said Miller. "Until I went to Abraham High School. I thought, maybe there I can find answers to my oddities. Because no matter how many times I ask our parents, they always say that we are human. What we feel is also felt by other humans. I believed until I entered Abraham High School." Jonea remembered Miller's reason for wanting to study there. "You said you wanted to save the human race from extinction. And the only way is through science. So, that excuse was just a lie?" "Forgive me." Miller looked down. "What really happened was that I wanted to know who I was. Even though our parents say that we are pure human beings. However, I feel that strange things are happening to me. If you're being honest, we tend to be more of the werewolf race even though we can't turn into wolves." Jonea shook her head. "Are you still drinking the herbal tonic made by Mama?" Jonea was stunned. "Yeah, what's the connection?" Miller nodded. "Since going to the dorm, I never drink it. That's ridiculous. Even though Mama said tonic is what keeps us healthy. For a whole year, I always threw away the tonics sent by mom. Miracles happen. My sense of smell is getting stronger. My vision is getting sharper. My instincts are increasingly dominating. On my 18th birthday, it was a week before summer vacation. I got my first change." "What?" she asked. "Changed? What do you mean by changed, Miller?" "It's like a rebirth, Jonea. Everything just happened. The more days I lived in the hostel, the more I felt like part of them–the werewolves. I think it's just due to environmental factors. However, on the day of my 18th birthday, during the full moon, I felt excruciating pain. All my bones felt like they were being snapped together. My whole body felt like it was being torn apart. I'm really in a lot of pain. I ran from the hostel because I was scared. I went to the pool because it was the only quiet place there. I'm losing control of myself. When I came to my senses after having probably been unconscious for who knows how long, I saw my legs and arms change. Filled with claws and fur. Only when I looked in the mirror did I realize I was not human?" Miller turned away and was embarrassed. "Impossible," Jonea muttered. "If you are indeed a lycan and we are brothers, of course, at 18, I too will turn into a wolf. But nothing happened to me. Stop your lying, Miller. Just admit it if you did the operation to change the DNA into a Werewolf. I might be able to take it." "That tonic!" shouted Miller. "The tonic you always consume paralyzes your lycan instincts, Jonea." Miller looked desperate. "I'm telling the truth, Jonea. We are the descendants of the lycans. I turned into a lycan not because of the surgery. But, because of a natural urge within me." Jonea recoiled in fright. It was as if she didn't recognize Miller at all. The youth before her was very much different from the Miller she knew. Jonea looked like a stranger. "I have to ask our parents. What actually happened here?" Jonea walked away from Miller. Even though her head still ached excruciatingly, she walked while groping the cave walls. "Jonea, don't go! It's dangerous outside!!" "Let me go!" she snapped. "I don't recognize you. I don't know who you are. I even started to doubt. You may not be my sister." Jonea staggered out of the cave. When she was about to reach the waterfall curtain covering the cave's mouth, her foot slipped. Jonea fell and was carried away by the swift waterfall.
