Chapter 18
The light rays woke me up, I walked slowly to the kitchen to prepare something for myself and my girlfriend. Becky still sleeping snoring like some mack truck after a long run.
Long run? That was more like a marathon.
"Good morning babe," I said as Becky walked in wearing one of my extra-larget-shirt.
She looks fun to be very honest. The shirt passed her knees. But to me, she is the perfect one. She is short, tiny waist, a big ass, and a babyface.
She didn't respond to my greetings instead she hugged me from behind her hands around my waist and her face to my back.
"How was your night?" She finally asked lowly still in the same position.
"Perfect especially when I had an undercover pornstar on my bed" I laughed
"Fuck you" she pinched my back with her teeth.
"Bloodsucking vampire" I turned to strike back but her mood changed.
She turned in the opposite direction folding her hands. One thing that I still haven't understood is how quickly Becky's mood changes. Like seconds ago she was active now she is super cold.
"Babe what's the problem"
"Did you use protection last night?" She asked.
"No, I don't use that" I replied.
"Will I get pregnant?" She faced me.
"No, my pull-out game is on point" I replied.
"Are you sure?" She asked.
"Am sure. Wait Becky is scared" I laughed.
"No am not scared. Why will I be scared" she had an atom of a smile?
I could tell if Becky was scared. We go way back so I can feel her mood and all
"I came inside you. Twice last night when you were sleeping" I said laughing.
"If that's true. I have AIDS or something more deadly like covid or whatever" she threw a punch.
We wrestled for a long with me pinning her down at almost every minute.
"I win the thirty-sixth time" I pinned her down again.
"That's because you have the unfair advantage" she tried to free herself.
"What's the unfair advantage?"
"Muscles and abs" she manages to sit up staring at me.
"No one restricts you to work out instead you focus more on fatty foods" I grinned.
"Am hungry. You cooking anything?" She asked.
"Holy fuck!"
I remembered I got noodles cooking that morning. I rushed to the cooker but all I could see were black-looking strings. The food was burnt.
"Mr chef, you just cooked a nice looking meal" she mocked.
"It's your fault"
We both sat in the sitting room watching the movie 'the outpost' in silence. I just wasted the last noodles we got for the week and preparing other food would take hours.
"Am hungry" I finally spoke out.
"I don't care" she focused on her mobile phone.
"Can you cook something?" I asked.
"I don't give a fuck" she responded.
Another thirty minutes of silence but my stomach started speaking grammar. I couldn't bear this hunger anymore.
"Let's go get food from a fast food" I requested walking out of the door.
"Well let's go" she dropped the tv dial and followed me.
Outside the house, everywhere was almost frozen. It would be impossible to use a Mercedes so I picked the truck.
"But the truck is dirty" she protested
"Wanna wash the truck first?" I asked.
"If your stomach isn't gonna tear up as we are washing then good let's wash.
She got a pail filled with water and added some liquid soap to it. I brought out two washing foams
We washed the car seriously for some time but I mistakenly poured water on her and she looks angry.
"Babe is so sorry" I gestured.
"It's fine, I will go clean up" she replied.
Unknown to me she went to pick up a spray hose. I could only tell when the forced weather kept splashing at me even when the temperature was twelve degrees she didn't care.
"Fuck!" I picked up my spray hose and slashed on her too.
We played more, water was fast rushing out of the garage as we keep spraying fast.
The far became super clean as a result of our reckless use of water.
"Warm bath?" I asked grinding my teeth due to the cold.
We both stood under the shower as it rained down warm water on our Bodies.
We bathe in silence, rubbing each other's back.
After the bath, I stood beside the truck waiting for Becky to come out. Like mama would say, it takes Becky 72 hours to get dressed. If you want her to go somewhere with you, you had to alert her two days to the actual event if not, she'd probably disappoint you.
"How do I look?" She asked.
Becky's body was lost in my big cotton hoodie completely covering her Jean shorts.
"You look stupid" I replied.
"That wasn't what your dad told me last night" she hopped into the car.
"Let's just go get something to eat please" I begged.
11 AM
'Dalton's foods, satisfy your belly' was inscribed with white on the red huge billboard. One of the best breakfast joints in my vicinity.
"What would you like to eat sir" a young man dressed in a suit asked.
"I'd take noodles and vegetable salad and a soda" I responded.
Becky ordered fries as usual and we ate together chatting noisily. I still wondered how Becky eats a lot of fatty food and still retains her perfect body.
I know some persons that grow fat just by taking fatty foods but Becky was different. I guess that food goes straight to her attitude.
My cellphone rang. It was the dad on the phone.
"Hello dad"
"How are you boy," he asked.
"Am fine dad, how his mum and Freda?" I asked.
"We are all fine" he replied.
We spoke about random topics. In the end, he promised me a hundred bucks.
The phone went dead.
"How are your family?" Becky asked crunching her food.
"They are fine. They gonna be back on the thirty-first of this month" I announced.
"Ohh yeah, mom called me last night. She told me the same" she replied.
After eating to my fill I relaxed for an ice cream treat.
"This one is nice" I complemented
"Yeah it's vanilla" she replied.
"Oh yeah I didn't read that"
"That's how you would have died and a single drop of tear won't drop down my eye" she scoffed.
The whole room was festive until a set of guys on black hoodies and shades entered.
I recognized one of them. The same thug that attacked me some days ago. They headed towards our table and sat at the next table.
"Beer and cigarette bitch" the leader gestured to the bartender.
The bartender brought him beer only and this got the guy angry. We all watched the whole scenery from a distance as nobody dares interrupt these thugs.
"You deaf man? I said I need a fucking cigarettes" he yelled.
"Sorry sir we don't sell cigarettes or any type of such substance here" the bartender replied shaking from his head to his toe.
"You fucking bastard" he attempted to strike the bartender but his colleagues stopped him.
"Boss, I got a cigarette. You can have em" the black-skinned guy on a red beret pleaded maybe he knew the wrath of the so-called boss.
He lit the cigarette and started smoking making the whole room stink. Although I used to smoke weed and do drugs and all but the cigarette was just too irritating.
"Sir, this is a non-smoking bar!" The security guard tapped him from behind.
"What you say, bro?" He stood up facing the guard.
Becky became uncomfortable. She is a peaceful person and she hated arguments.
"Aaron we should go" she tapped me but I was more interested in the tattoos they all shared.
"Sir with all due respect I would be forced to throw you out" the guard threatened.
"Throw me out? You wanna throw me out?" He pushed his table and it slammed to the floor.
"Sir please leave" the guard begged not wanting to lose his job for beating up a customer.
The guard Is as big as Dwayne Johnson but he is peaceful not to have a bad name. Even if he could fight, he would be outnumbered. Seven armed men again a single guard with a gun.
"I dare you," the gang leader said as they exchanged words ready for a fight.
"Would you shut the fuck up!!!!!!"
