Chloe Montclair
I was instructed to enter a strange specific room, it was a special room which, I'd never seen before ever since I've been brought to this place.
His back was facing me as I walked into the room. "Now, shall we get back to business?." He said as he turned around to face me.
"Look, I do not know who you're or what you want from me. You can't just show up out of blue and act like we've known each other for years."
"And, when did I admit to that?." He asked raising his eyebrow at me.
"But, you just made it seem like we've both known each other for a while now. You just listed my family in there a while ago!"
"Is there anyone who doesn't know who Chloe Montclair is in the country? Everyone knows that you killed your mother because of your father's property." He said in a nonchalant tone.
"Excuse me! I... Did not... Kill... My mother!" I said through gritted teeth as I glared hard at him in anger. Tears welled up in my eyes.
He looked at me and chuckled. "Well, between you and I, we both know that motherfucker deceived you and run away with everything you've worked so hard for but to the world, you're nothing but a piece of trash who betrayed her family all because of greediness." He said in a very cold tone. I can't control myself. Another hot fresh tears flow down my cheeks again for the second time.
"How dare you rub this to my face? Must you rub it to my face that I'm a bad person? Yes! Yes, I agreed that I betrayed my family for a man but, I wasn't totally at fault! I was in love!" I busted at him and wipe off my tears. I refused to be weak again.
"As I've said, I'm not here to listen to your love life story. I'm here for business." He said again.
"I have no business to do with you. As you can see, there's nothing I can do for you. I'm just a piece of trash who never valued her family as you had said. Just let me be." I said and turn around to leave but what he said next stopped me.
"I'm getting you out of here." I turned slowly and look at his face to know if he was real or just joking.
"What?!!"
"Fuck! Look, woman, I hate to repeat myself." He hissed. "Let's strike a deal." He added.
"Who are you? And, how did you get to know me? What deal are you talking about? I do not know you a bit! Plus, how did you get to know about this place? Are you the owner of this place? Are you planning on employing me?." I bombard him with so many questions.
"I do not need to answer your question. Only I have the right to question you and your job is to answer my question."
"But, I don't know you! Who are you?!!" I swear, this man is frustrating me right now.
"My name is Kenneth Domanco. The fir-"
"You!!" I cut him off as I widened my eyes again in shock.
"T... Th... The pre... The president son? Aren't you also the owner of a prestige oil and gas company?." I asked in bewilderment as I pointed my index finger at him and he smirk at me. I swear, I knew there was something strange about him the moment he came in earlier. I knew I know him from somewhere. I had no idea he's the president son.
But, what's the president son doing at a place like this?
"I thought, you were only stupid, I had no idea you were this smart. After spending 3 years, 6 months, and 4 days here, you still remembered a lot of things... Huh?." He smirks again. "Sit." He added as he sit on the couch.
"Huh?."
"I thought, I fucking told you I don't repeat myself." He said in an arrogant tone.
"Can you stop swearing? It's annoying." I hissed.
I sat across him and he scanned me. I became uncomfortable with his stare. "Can you stop staring at me in such way? You're making me feel so uncomfortable."
"Am I? Well, can we now get down to business?."
"What do you want from me?."
"Your service."
"Huh?."
"I want you to sign a 2 years contract deal with me."
"What are you talking about? Sign a contract with you? At a place like this?." I asked as I look around the whole place uncomfortably again. I thought this man is one of the youngest, richest billionaires in the whole world. Not only that, he's the smartest man too because, as far as I remember, he owned 13 different companies and several industries all over the world. I just don't know why he's talking like someone who has just lost it.
"Become my girlfriend."
"What?!!!" I jumped up from my seat. "Are you crazy?! You want me, to become your girlfriend?! How? When? I mean, how is that even possible? Why should I become your girlfriend?."
"Because, you're in the perfect position for the job. Now, sit back and listen to me attentively." He said and I gently took a sit.
"My father has a childhood friend whom, they promised to marry off their children to each other whenever they grow up. Now, my Dad wants me to marry his friend's daughter."
"But, that shouldn't be a problem, right? You can marry her. You two are rich."
"Do you think, if I fucking want to do that I'll come here to strike a deal with you? And, can you stop cutting me off from my words and allow me to finish my statement before you talk." It's a statement, not a request.
"As I was saying before I got interrupted by you. My uncle and his son, are my major problem. They want to take over everything, that rightfully belongs to me. They both want to take it away from me because they believe I do not have a fiancee. I can only take over my father's empire only if, I introduced my fiancee to my family in three months." He explained.
"But, I thought... I thought your father wanted to match make you with his friend's daughter?." I asked confused. If he has someone who could even become his wife in the future, where does he have to come down here to tell me all these?
"I do not love her, dumbass." He hissed.
"But, you do not love me."
"I'm not ready for commitment, don't you get it! I do not want to be committed to any fucking woman!"
Oh Lord, please help me. This guy is getting on my nerves by swearing at every opportunity he's got. "I want a woman who won't get attached to me no matter what."
"Then, why me? You can hire anyone out there to do that for you. Look, I'm not interested in your family's issue. I have no business with you and let's both agree that we've never met. I don't know you likewise you... Just leave here because I do not want to have anything to do with you. Okay, I will believe, that's the end of our discussion... right? Okay, bye! Bye!! Bye!!!" I fake a nervous smile and got up gently, ready to leave but what came out again from his mouth stopped me.
"$500 million."
What?!! Fi... Fiv... Five hundred million dollars?
No, you're not doing this and that's final Chloe- I mentally said to myself.
I took another step but his voice stopped me again. "$900 million." I swear this man is crazy! He did not just offer to give me $900 million! What if he goes bankrupt.
Are you crazy? How can he go bankrupt when he has a billionaire of dollars in his account.
I turned slowly to look at me with a fake smile still on my face."
"My 'No', is still a 'No' Mr, president. I mean, vice... No, I mean, president son. I can't do this job. I'm not fit for the job. I'm just an ordinary girl whom the whole world has painted bad already. Do you even know what will happen to you when you take me to your Dad? To your family? They'll curse you for bringing home a betrayal to them. I'm not the girl appropriate for this. I'm sorry to disappoint you but, I can't do this... This job is not for me but for someone else's. Maybe, you just heed to your father's word and be with his friend's daughter."
"You still don't get it, do you? That crazy girl is in love with me. I do not want anything to do with her."
"Likewise me. You do not have anything to do with me, also. You're a well-respected being. You're not to be seen with a despicable person like me. I'm sorry." I turned around to leave for the last time and this time around, I promised myself not to turn around and talk to him again but then...
"$2,000 million."
