Matthew
After the conference, we headed to their house as fast as possible. No one speaks while we are inside the car. We fell silent as if we were in a silent war.
"This is killing me," I told them. "I am very sorry, guys, but it is too quiet. I am dying of silence. Why are we silent anyway?" I asked them.
"You guys are quiet, too, so I thought I should keep my mouth shut." Archane commented.
"Me too." Lyndon added.
"I am hungry. That is why I am quiet." Layzen said.
We can't help but laugh at his answer. "Why did you stay quiet if you were already hungry?" Dad Albert asked while driving.
"You are not talking. As a grown-up, I should stay quiet, too." he answered.
"I thought you'd act your age?" Then Traizle said, this time to Layzen.
"It depends on my mood and my outfit," Layzen answered as he fixed the buttons on his sleeves. "I thought I should act like one because I am wearing a formal suit." Layzen added.
Of all the children I encountered, I liked Layzen the most. He is indeed a genius in every way. The way he talks and uses words that the other kids do not know and use always amazes me.
I want to have a child like him with Traizle someday.
When we got home, we ordered food that we could eat. Lately, I am feeling at home.
Waking up in the morning with somebody besides me. Yeah, I am with Layzen in his room. They won't let me sleep with my wife, though, and I should score some points with Dad Albert, or else he won't agree to let me marry Traizle. I don't want that to happen.
We eat and sleep together, tell stories, watch movies, and play with Lyndon and Archane. I have contented already with it.
"Excuse me." I said and got up when I saw Nana calling.
I quickly answered the call. "Nana!" I called excitedly.
"Matthew, we just finished watching the conference." Nana said.
"Am I handsome? Did I do a good job?" I asked.
Nana nodded her head and gave me a thumbs-up. "Our Matthew is handsome. You did well protecting Traizle and her family. How is she? I did not know that she suffered too much." Nana answered.
"I guess they are okay, and we just eat our lunch. They are not sad, and that is enough for me. I hope they will give them privacy, especially Lyndon, Layzen, and Archane." I said.
They are still in school, and it might disturb them. I should do something about that if that happens.
"Right! Traizle's family is so handsome, huh? That is why she is pretty. She comes from a family that is full of beauty. We want to meet them sooner now that your relationship has gone public," said Nana. "What should we bring as a gift?"
"When will you come and see us? We are currently living at her daddy's house, Dad Albert." I reminded her.
"Oh? Are you living with them too? Did her dad say so?" Nana asked.
I nodded. "He invited me to live with them for a few days. He heard from Layzen that I was alone in my house. That is why I am now living with them. I don't even want to go home because of this." I answered.
"You find it fun living with them?" Nana asked."Should we ask them to let you stay there for longer?"
"Should we? Should we buy gifts for them to let me live with them longer?" I asked back.
"Then ask Traizle to marry you!" I heard Pops comment."So you do not have to ask them to let you stay there."
"I want to," I answered. "But Traizle is still not ready. I do not want to force her. I have to wait for her. I will just plan our wedding." I added, laughing.
"We should! I want a marvelous and big wedding." Nana exclaimed with glee.
"Traizle said that if we are still together by next year, she will marry me." I shared.
"Then don't dare to find any woman! Make sure to devote yourself to her. Traizle is a good catch. If you let her slip, you might not be able to find someone like her." Nana warned.
"Of course, Nana! I won't dare to let her slip away from me. I will love Traizle as much as I love my ugly ex-girlfriend." I said.
"Good. We are happy that you found your happiness. We will visit you soon. So tell them that we will be there in a few days." Nana said.
After our call, I was about to return to the house when Lyndon came out. "Where are you going?" I asked.
"I did not see you inside, so I looked out for you." Lyndon answered while looking at his phone.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"Reading." he answered, still glued to his phone.
I approached him and looked at what he was reading. "Oh?" I said. "Was it me?" I asked.
The man on his phone looks like me. It is as handsome as hell, like me. This time, Lyndon looked at me.
"Didn't Traizle tell you about this?" he asked, so I shook my head. "Zac made this webtoon." he added.
I reached out to his phone and tried to read the chapter. How can he draw something cool?
"He put us on his webtoon. I thought Traizle told you about this." he explained.
I gave his phone back. "I didn't like Zac before. Maybe that is why she didn't tell me about this." I answered.
"Read it, and you will find it cool. Look at the reads he's got. It's a million already. They somehow like the flow of your love story even though you guys are not the main characters." He said.
"Really? Where should I read that?" I asked.
Lyndon sent me the link for me to read it. I even downloaded an app that allows me to read them. Was he this talented? He is cool.
"Wait? Is it done already? On-going? Come on!" I said and went to Traizle. "Traizle! Give me Zac's number, and I need it." I added.
"Why?" she asked back.
"I want to ask what will happen in the next chapter. His webtoon story is cool!"
"You can't ask him about it. Have you read it already? I thought you didn't like him?" Traizle retorted.
"Yeah, but that was before. I want to know the whole story." I explained.
"No. You should wait for him to upload it." Traizle answered.
"When will he upload the next chapter?" I asked.
"Look at the main page of his webtoon."
I looked at the main page that Traizle suggested. "What? Every Wednesday? I can not wait for another week!"
