Having to sit for hours, listen to someone yapping for hours, and at the end of it all you only get one or two words.
A loud sigh left my lips; it was a heavy, long sigh as some might say.
The first few days of classes were absolute torture, at least until I got used to it.
Magic classes upon magic classes — the only other thing we learned was rift survival, and even that was taught by an old teacher who could barely stay awake.

These days, I had noticed that she had been showing a lot more emotion than before.

Once they were on, she used her teeth to drag the edge so it would sit completely.

She actually remembered the random things I was talking about yesterday.
I had told her that using your teeth to drag in your glove was cool, but she actually did it?
I tried to hold back my laugh, but it slipped out.
It was low at first, but soon exploded into a long, hard laugh.
"That was so funny. What the hell? Were you trying to be cool so badly?"
Beatrice clicked her tongue. "This is why I don’t do such childish things."
I wiped the tears from the corner of my eye. "Sorry, it was just hilarious."
For a moment I swore I saw her pout. "Being with a clown like you is rubbing off on me badly."
I let out an exhale. "Enough of that — can you train me?"
She sighed. "As the protagonist, shouldn’t you have some OP learning comprehension?"

Beatrice moved to where I stood and placed her hand on my chest. "You have very good mana control..."
She took a long pause as beads of sweat formed on her temples. "Mhmm..."

She tilted her head so she could look into my eyes. "You won’t tell even me?"

Just like lightning affinity’s blink, light affinity’s teleportation and my red flash’s distortion, Flashstep had to do with taking yourself from one place to another by enveloping your body with mana — basically becoming mana itself.
That was why mana control was so important.
I wasn’t an impeccable genius or some OP protagonist, so I couldn’t try to learn it alone.
