"What's the matter, Reil?" Emiem entered my room flashing an annoying smile towards me knowing the answer already but being a female jerk, she wants me to spill the beans.
I ignored her existence and resumed working on my face. "Red is suitable for you." She patted her eyelashes innocently when I took the pink lipstick. For a moment I stopped and gave her a 'shut up' look and applied the pink lipstick.
"Huh? I wish I'm Mr. Hunter." She looked heavenwards dreamily while I gave her a confusing look.
"I mean If I were Mr. Hunter I would get the chance of tasting your pink lips and-" I grabbed the pillow and threw on her pretty face but that female jerk caught on right time then smirked.
"Anyway all the best." She grinned like a maniac before stormed out of my room when I grabbed another pillow to throw at her.
"Such a jerk," I muttered and looked at the mirror. 'You are going to visit Dr. Volts. Not for the dating, right?' My mind asked. I rolled my eyes at her immature question though she was my inner thoughts.
"I'm not going to impress anyone. It's just I wanted to try these kits." I looked at the twelve boxes of makeup kit which Federick bought to me from Australia a year ago.
I haven't tried any till today cause I didn't find the reason and I'm a natural beauty too but see... I'm not enough of this makeup stuff today. But I didn't cross my limit, I just applied minimal makeup on my face like a rose powder and foundation, eyeliner, mascara, and lipsticks.
You have got the point that I didn't cake my face, right?
"Please lord. Give me some clue today about Heil." I prayed internally before walking out of my room with my purse, phone, and the key. As usual, my lovely teammates were roaming the hall here and there with the phone in one hand and a plate on another hand.
"I'm leaving!" I shouted before made my way out of the cottage.
I parked my baby near his bullet and entered the elevator. I pressed the first floor and when the door was about to close a leg stumbled between the elevator door causing the door to open again.
There entered the most annoying species in the version of human being known in a name as Rakesh.
"Hey, Reil." He waved his hands and stood very close to me. "You look stunning," he said shamelessly while I nodded my head as a comprehension. I'm not going to waste my time simply arguing over a silly matter.
He thinks of himself as an eagle that can pick the fight with his prey whenever he wants despite the fact that he is my prey. He never gets the word 'no' in his dictionary, I think I should buy him a good dictionary to learn the meaning of 'No.'
"So, will you be my partner tonight?" He asked, right when the elevator door opened. Thank God!! I praised the lord internally before stormed out of the elevator.
"Reil, please give me one chance. Just one date." He grabbed my hand and pleaded through his eyes. Even before I teach him a lesson, a hard voice interfered causing both our heads turned towards our right.
The grip on my hand loosened as my hand is burning him and he gulped down visibly. "What was that?" Blake asked his piercing gaze didn't leave his hand as he is going to pluck every damn finger.
"It's --" he looked at me for help. I suppressed the smile which threatening to come out but stood there like a robot.
"Reil, please save me." He leaned towards me and whispered.
"I asked you a question, man." He fisted his hands. Ohh, God! He is creating a scene for nothing. I facepalmed. I think it's my time to open my mouth before he kicks the man out of this building.
"Actually Blake he asked me to go with him to the gala." I opened my mouth, deciding to help this poor man.
"And why?" He raised his eyebrows. We all know the fact that he is interested in Emiem so why he asked me to accompany him tonight instead of her? Because he wants to move to the next level.
"Emiem and he were not in a good term for a few days, so he asked me to accompany him just to make her jealous," I stated the truth of his sudden interest in me.
"You pig! You should have asked me first." A heavy heel landed on his head followed by a loud thundering scream. "All the best," I whispered.
"Thanks for everything." He is on the verge of crying. "Ohh! So nice of you." I cooed.
"Emien take care of him in your own method and please don't use any heels, especially your clutch which weight like a ton." I winked at him before walking past him, he all the while stood with open mouth.
Hahaha... He deserved this.
"Shall we go?" I asked Blake.
"Hmm." He hummed in response, scanning my body from top to bottom and the smirk in the corner of his mouth didn't unnoticed by me. I acted normally even though his stares gave me a Goosebumps all over my body. Did he like my appearance?
"You look more beautiful in your natural look." He whispered in my ear once we were out of their sight, that made my leg turn like jelly and if I hadn't clutched the head of my Scooty I would have fallen down and made myself embarrassed in front of him in nth time.
"Federick bought me when he went to Australia." His eyes darkened when he heard his name but without giving another word he started his bullet. I started mine and followed after him.
After a fine 30 mins of the journey, he parked his bullet in front of the small house and gestured me to come inside.
I was hesitant at first for an unknown reason as something didn't sit well in my mind. "Come." He interlinked our hands and entered inside the house, It was way too small as to be called a house.
"Here." We stopped in front of the man who looked horrible than I imagined.
Different kinds of tubes were hooked with his body, he was breathing with the help of an oxygen mask and the heart monitoring machine is showing his reading accurately as to how his chest fell and rise.
"Excuse me, mam." The nurse called from behind. I stepped aside and she adjusted the flow of the drips, then she bowed her head at Blake before took her leave.
"He is conscious now. Try your best to collect as much as information you want. I will be in a minute." He walked out of the room.
Now I and Dr. Volts are left alone in the small room. I kneeled beside and rubbed his hand slowly for what seemed to a minute.
"Who are you." I heard his weak voice spoke. "Hello Dr. I'm Heil--"
"Tell the reason why you are here. My time is near." He cut me off in my midst. Nodding my head I asked," Dr. Volts I read your book about Heil but--"
"Yes! He is human. He is here watching everyone's movement. Whatever I had written in the book was 100% true. Don't ignore the book." He rushed almost yelled.
"But the first 30 pages were missing," I added immediately meeting his same tone.
"Go to the North Pole, there you will find the library and if you have luck you can get the spare copy of that book. But please don't trust anyone. Do it by yourself." He almost pleaded then his eyes widened with fear when he spotted something behind me, it's like he has seen the ghost and to prove the dismay his skin turned pale like me, his breathing became abnormal.
What happened to him?
"Dr. Volts. Don't worry. I will give my best to protect you." Blake appeared out of nowhere and clutched his hands while the nurse gave him an injection to sleep.
He shook his head abruptly, his gaze piercing on my soul like he is trying to tell me something. "Save yoursel-" He fell asleep without even finishing the sentence.
"I will," Blake whispered then looked at me. "He is overprotective over me." I thought he said the words to me.
"Inform me once he gets his conscious back." The nurse nodded her head.
"Okay come." He dragged me out of his room. "Did you get any useful hints?" he asked in a bored tone, his gaze solely on my face.
"Yeah! He said to go to the library in the north." And also said don't trust anyone. But I didn't say loudly.
"I know the place. Come." He started his bullet. "Today?" I asked furrowing my eyebrows.
"Time is so precious." He gave me a genuine smile. He is right. As for how fast I can able to unwrap the puzzle, that much grateful it would turn to save lots of life. Especially, the girl who Heil has picked for him.
But why I have a feeling that he said those words particularly towards me? Save me from whom? If Heil wants my dead he would have taken when he gets two good times.
"Coming or not?" Blake looked back at me bringing me from my own thoughts.
"Yes!! Coming....." I sang meeting his tone. I hope everything will be turning out positively...
